My HSG was not the most comfortable thing but not the worst. I took Tylenol beforehand, I can’t take Advil. It cramped pretty good for about 30-60 seconds and it was over. I had one tube fully blocked and they couldn’t unblock it. That said, I got pregnant naturally with twins the following cycle, one week after our clinic said we had about a 1% chance of naturally conceiving. Sending happy fertility vibes! The HSG unofficially can increase your fertility for three months afterwards because it can clean you out!
My daughter has had two hysteroscopies , one under GA , which she would never do again , and a second with minimal anything , which she would recommend
When I had the HSG test one of my tubes was stuck closed. The doctor opened it with a forceful squirt! It did clean out my tubes. I got pregnant soon after. Good luck!🍀 ❤
HSG was not exactly comfortable, but tolerable - not as bad as getting Barbie Butt stitches out, but a bit more uncomfortable than a pap test. Hopefully that gives you a frame of reference. (Also keep in mind I was pretty blocked up, which can apparently make it more painful.) As a bonus, I got pregnant with my first ovulation post-HSG after struggling for soooo long, so I hope you have a similar experience! 🤞Good luck!!
I have the test tomorrow morning and am so nervous, so thank you so much for commenting this!! Keeping my fingers crossed this test clears out my tubes and maybe something will happen 🩷
Keeping my fingers pointed towards Heaven praying for you. I hope it's successful and you have a bundle of joy within the year. 2024 here comes your baby.
@@LetsTalkIBD we're all thinking of you! Good luck! I hope it is super tolerable and gives you some excellent results (either boosted fertility or some concrete answers) 🤞🍀✨
Such spooky sounds, gave me goose bumps!! We have a squirrel in our crawl space overhead but never heard the sounds that you did. Previous comments about the HSG test sound so hopeful . You are a champ and will do great for the test.
This is very interesting to follow. Love hearing about your journey! The house stuff was freaky though!! Doesn't sound dangerous just noisy.....but still! Hope things quiet down. Next time you hear noise call to Jesus for help. ❤️ 😊
Wishing you the best outcome Maggie. It's not easy, but worth narrowing down possibilities. Mentioned before, you need sage and lavender oil to clear up your cut through. Glad to help if you need.🍂
I’m unable to take ibuprofen due to stomach inflammation, so my doctor prescribes me a different type of NSAID for pain relief, which is supposed to be easier in the stomach - celecoxib. Could be another option to look into, if the dual action thing you’re trying doesn’t help. For me, it’s much more effective than Tylenol, and doesn’t bother my stomach. Good luck with your tests, and thanks for sharing!!
I had actually asked if I could get a prescription to help me relax for my HSG so they prescribed Valium (if I recall correctly) to take like 30 min beforehand. Honestly though...I don't know if it helped me calm down at all, lol. If I was to be really black and white, I would say my HSG was painful, HOWEVER, the pain was mostly just intense pressure that felt worse than any cramp I've had before and it lasted all of like....maybe 8 seconds? For me, the pain was when they inflated a balloon in my uterus, not when they pushed the saline through my tubes (my tubes were open though, so this may be why that part didn't hurt). The second they deflated the balloon, the pressure and pain was gone and the doctor and nurse were SO attentive and quick. I would do it again if I needed to because it gave me peace of mind and it actually wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be.
Interestingly enough, I’m waiting on my period too! Not for fertility, but just for planning to be sure I don’t have a bad cramp day on a uni day. Good luck for your test!
Hi Maggie! I was wondering if you watched this video? It reminded me of how positive you are in the face of adversity and what you can accomplish. This young girl is so inspirational. She has a condition where her stomach is “paralyzed” and can only eat out of a feeding tube. I would love for you to watch & comment: oh, there is also a version with English subtitles that really hits the mark: 0:33
I have lived in old houses... There is definitely unexplainable stuff that happens! I would love to hear more! Btw , fellow Jersey girl relocated to VA, culture shock..
The discomfort of the HSG is nothing to what you’ve experienced. Cramping afterwards isn’t unusual. It’s really significant for assessing the anatomy of the uterus and other structures. Best wishes!
I know your hands were shaky and you were nervous on the phone, but if I wasn't actually seeing you I wouldn't have been able to tell! Hope the test goes as comfortably as possible!
Hire a sharmen and have the house saged and blessed or you can do it your self with a feather and a bunch of dried lit sage and smoke each wall and room in the house. Its an old Indian custom to get rid of any entities inside of the house as it lightens the room and brings in good vibes and it works.
Hope all your medical tests are easy and painfree. As for the potential paranormal activity. Whether you are religious or not, there are prayers you can say to banish spirits, regardless of benevolence or malevolence of spirit.
I don't know if you've addressed this in another video that I haven't seen, but isn't it a concern that IBD has a genetic component? Is there a way to reduce the chances that the baby could get it too?
On the spooky stuff ... do you think there might be a child spirit waiting to come in, who was hanging around and decided to check out the furniture - the kid's rocking chair specifically?
What is a HSG please? I have not heard of it in the UK , it must go by a different name My so and his wife had a baby in July after IVF: she has endometriosis and they were given a 7% chance of conception every other month . She also had an op to clear deposits from her peritoneum . IVF is not a magic cure , requires determination and strong mental health , and a great deal of support .It’s intrusive and unpleasant in so many ways . So much is very different in the UK to the US

I wish they would offer light sedation for GYN tests that could possibly be quite painful. Would be much easier to cope with mentally and physically.
Agreed!! It was horrible for me

And you think you could take pregnancy and childbirth? 😂

Rodents running around the ceiling do sound like a jar rolling, sometimes. Good luck with the tests!

Hi Maggie & Zak. Long distance Rolling Thunder can often mimic a glass bottle rolling on a wooden floor. Just a suggestion. 🤗 🐨 🦘🦘💖
Have you checked for rats in the walls. They can acculy run around there and sometimes old stuff also stuck in walls they push over.
You got this Maggie! Fingers crossed everything goes as planned. Rooting for you 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Hello, and all the very best luck on all the rest of your tests as well as Zack thanks for sharing and take care 🙂

Tell us all the spooky stuff😂! Good luck with all the tests.
I’m an investigative researcher for MUFON and otherwise, very experienced with own weird house.
Do you think you might have squirrels or mice in the attic?
I was so nervous for mine! My husband was out of town and I had to drive myself an hour to my appointment 😖 it ended up being fine!!
I was asleep for mine. Felt nothing although my tubes were blocked and they forced the dye through. Was pregnant 10 months later!
I don't know if you've addressed this in another video that I haven't seen, but isn't it a concern that IBD has a genetic component? Is there a way to reduce the chances that the baby could get it too?

The chair is a sign,we want you guys to have a little one, don't be afraid, happy thoughts surrounding you and your husband.
