      HOW YOU CAN KNOW YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE ! Realize you are a sinner being sorry. Sin is lying, evil thoughts, lust,etc. Therefore, do not trust in your own works to go to heaven because you realize, being a sinner, you cannot offer the perfect blood sacrifice that God requires to pay for sin. Instead, believe, meaning fully trust firmly, that in Christ's love for you, on the cross, His one perfect blood sacrifice, when Christ bled, suffered and died, in your place, paid for your sins in full, past, present and future ! Believe that Jesus rose from the dead ! Believe Jesus is God Almighty, God the Son, alive for evermore ! And believe that the sinless blood of Jesus Christ is what cleanses you from all sin, which purifies your soul ! Then the Lord Jesus will forgive you,save you from hell and give you eternal life ! And you will be sealed with the Holy Spirit who will dwell within you forever! And thank Jesus ! Rom.3:25,5:8,9,10:9, Is.53:5,6, II Cor.5:21, Ephes.1:7,13,4:30, Heb.10:14,38,39, I John 1:7, 5:7,13,20

    Maggie, I'm so happy to hear you've been trying different things with your diet, and it seems to be working! We all have to find what foods and style of eating works for us. It's not a one=size-fits-all, by any means. It's really not as simple as "just eat this particular way, and all your ills will be solved". Everyone is different!
    I have struggled with digestive problems my whole life ( abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, diarrhea). Doctors said it was IBS, which isn't actually a diagnosis, it's what they tell you you have when they don't know what's wrong with you! This year, I finally started looking into changeing up the foods I eat, and being willing to make those changes. It's always been super important to me to eat healthy, but I didn't realize all those vegetables and whole grains were not working well for my body.
    I have transitioned over to eating way less grains and vegetables, and a lot more protein. This is working so well for me! I very rarely have digestive issues anymore, and it's so nice not to be in pain every time I eat, and spending so much time in the bathroom.

    I have been overweight for years with UC and being on steroids and other meds for so long. Now, I have had an ileostomy for 6 weeks. It’s permanent. I am hoping to get to a healthier weight. But, I eat so many carbs now because of nervousness of certain foods I ate before and the risk of blockages. 😬 I don’t feel sick anymore so that is a win. I’m trying to stay hydrated but I’m not as good with it as I should be. It’s a journey for sure. I love your videos. I have learned so much!!! 🤩

      Welcome to the broken butt gang.😊 I was going to say I know what you mean about wanting foods that won't block you. But don't forget carbs, along with several other foods, cause inflammation. If you're only 6 weeks in I would try real hard to keep your inflammation down. Crohn's and UC already put us on the chronic inflammation scale. Plus, try EXTRA hard to keep up your fluids. It's often extremely hard to catch up. Plus kidneys get damaged pretty quick from being dehydrated. I never drank, smoked or used drugs nor ate fatty foods yet my kidneys are always angry and I have chronic Pancreatitis, plus every vertebrae has degenerated and herniated discs and brakes since age 14. And back then I thought my acne was worse than all of my issues. 😏 Well I hope you live long and prosper! 😊 You'll find Maggie's channel has more advice than any hospital or book. I know she does and shares her research. Hospitals should require new ostamates to subscribe 👍😁❤️.

    Good point about getting the right electrolytes and protein when trying to gain weight! Am wading through this challenge myself right now. Electrolyte imbalances affect your digestive hormones. If those are off the food may not be properly digested and calories may not be absorbed. Likewise chronic protein deficiency can cause atrophy of pancreas acinar cells and imbalanced digestive hormones also resulting in poor calorie absorption. For those significantly underweight, I recommend reading about refeeding syndrome. My GP didn't really know about this. I had to see a nephrologist to find someone that was well trained on the topic. They are the best specialists to see regarding electrolyte imbalances.

      The protein is especially important. For me it keeps me feeling full and that’s a good thing because in the months after recovering from surgery I started craving junk food again.

    I have Crohns (with a bowel resection and gallbladder removed.)I weigh 132 lbs.(5’”9) and struggle to gain weight. Every single bone in my body sticks out and it hurts😢 I stay really hydrated and eat non GMO,no dairy,no seed oils, very low sugar,virtually grain- free and 95% vegan ( occasionally chicken and fish 😅).Because of the Crohns, I don’t absorb vitamins completely ( if at all.)
    I was just looking for a supplemental shake today, so your video came at the perfect time ❤I just want to be healthy!

    When I gained weight after the surgery, I wasn't warned that the geography of my stomach changing would affect my ileostomy. I had leaks over and over until I saw a wound care nurse who suggested convex barriers and that fixed everything. I had just assumed it would never change

    I've used Spiru-tein by Natures Plus for years, as my ONLY source of food. I've been able to stay off of TPN or PPN because I apparently absorb everything in the Spiri-tein. It seems to give us "broken butt" folks everything needed to be stable & thriving. I add one scoop with a cup of Rice Dream milk and some ice and blended. If you need to give your gut a break I highly recommend trying it. The fact that I've lived solely on this stuff for yrs at a time should prove it's value. It's $44 for a months worth of guaranteed nutrition, especially those of us with short bowel syndrome, and ostomys.

    I still to this day 34 yrs now have so many OTHER complications. It has been 17 yrs SINCE THE ILEOSTOMY. I REALLY HOPED that things would slow down and become easier...maybe even have a "life"... BUT NO...I developed a fistula deep in my left buttock like the same time as the CROHNS HIT 34 yrs ago. IT...STILL...HAS... NOT... HEALED! It is the whole reason I had the ileostomy. Yep! I have pics of how the surgeon left me the last time I had surgery just to fix the fistula/fissure...I guess it's both. I cannot sit on my left butt cheek... I worked 12yrs at first...but then I had a 2 yr colostomy to try to heal it...BUT NOOOO...not healed. Still to this day..this morning my butt...I get spasms ehen it tries to close. OMG!!! THE PAIN IS UNBEARABLE... UNBELIEVABLE... That is why I had the ileostomy surgery. I was blessed enough 20 yrs ago to get this one med that will made the spasms stop. Insurance never covered and today it still costs $30. But it is the only muscle relaxer that makes the spasms stop... I'm SORRY MAGGIE I DIDN'T MEAN TO MONOPOLIZE YOUR COMMENT SECTION...

    I’m 29 I’m currently 102Ibs which we never thought I’d weigh 100Ibs 102 is amazing. I’ve had many GI conditions and birth defects that have affected my weight my entire life. I also have severe lung disease with 32% lung function so I use a lot of calories to just breath.
    I was 86Ibs from 2012 (17yo) to 2022 (27yo) I finally got to 108Ibs! I have dropped down some and my body’s happy weight is 102-105Ibs. I do have a j-tube, and g-tube as my stomach is paralyzed and acid goes into my lungs when I reflux. I can’t eat orally anymore because of it but I have liquids I drink to make me happy that I drain out. I have a long painful medical history with my GI birth defects and other issues.

    I can totally relate to the weight challenge - I’m on the other end of the spectrum though. I was about 20 lbs overweight before my colectomy and my ileostomy. I’d had UC for many years but my surgery wasn’t related to that (it was due to C-diff that nearly killed me) and I would have died if they hadn’t done the colectomy when they did. My colon weighed 30 lbs when they removed it because by the time of surgery I had developed toxic megacolon. So I lost a bunch of weight those first several months after surgery. I was delighted! It’s been 14 months since my surgery and most of that original weight has come back which really frustrates me. I am also diabetic (insulin dependent) and was recently diagnosed with stage IV kidney disease. So what works for my diabetes may or may not work for my kidney disease or for my ileostomy! So I don’t know what to way anymore! Maybe ice? 😂 it seems overwhelmingly complicated. I’m about to turn 70 in a few weeks and you’d think I’d have a handle on this by now! It was encouraging to hear your story and realize we all have those dietary challenges and we’re not alone in the battle. You, as in all your videos, are truly an inspiration to me! ❤

    I've found success with weight loss by adding more protein. I used to be pescatarian as well and I feel so much healthier eating more meat. I've always been an animal lover and still am, but I finally had to admit to myself that humans are meant to eat meat.

    • @tulipflower2858
      @tulipflower2858 2 месяца назад

      You can't be an animal lover and eat them at the same time..and no we don't have to eat meat,my self my husband and 2 son's have been vegan for 7 years so many illnesses went away we will never go back. PS.protein comes from plants because the cow you are eating was vegan. So the poor cow got her nutrients from grass.🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

    • @jenniferdignan8507
      @jenniferdignan8507 2 месяца назад

      @@tulipflower2858 That's interesting, most of my health problems went away or improved by eating meat. And cows have a very different digestive system than we do, so they can get everything they need from plants. Our ancestors ate mainly meat before we developed agriculture.
