Risk if Sofi switches to banking multiple over time instead of fintech?
It doesn't really matter as long the tech and financial service multiply profitability exponentially, it will bring up the book value
Calculate your valuation based on a hybrid multiple somewhere between banking and fintech because that's probably how Wallstreet will value it.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but stocks don't compound intrest do they? Only the initial investment accrues, not the gains?
It compounds. Start with $100 it goes up 10% =$110. Next year the stock goes up another 10%. Now you have 110% x $110 = $121...
Agreed but the IRA is taxed anyway so might as well keep in both IRA and ROTH, love the video by the way. As soon as I use up my tax write offs in my personal investment account I will no longer own SOFI in that one.

Actually on the daily chart it's looks okay, still below the 200, earnings coming which is usually a no no or pump and dump.. however, nice gap to fill above the 200.. so this could be a shirt term hold take profits when gap fills and sell accordingly

Every time you invest in an individual company you are taking on the highest risk vs reward, but that’s the risk you take.
But if we invest everything, in some point we need to enjoy the money right? Where’s the cash flow?
If you sell 4% a year, a diversified portolio will continue to grow and you get cash flow from the sales.

Make sense, so from what i understood, first the idea is to try to have a good amount invested
Let’s say 1M (diversified)
Then use 4% year of it, 40k in this scenario to enjoy the life

The big problem is, if Wall Street decides this is a bank and gives it a bank multiple then the stock price is going nowhere. This is 100% possible and there’s nothing you or I can do about it. Big risk. Please don’t think this is a sure bet, it’s very far from it. Institutions are incredibly bearish , which makes me think they know how this will play out.
