    Shane, you can make it a little simpler to get the email addresses by changing the Select into text mode and just putting the email from the dynamic content. This creates an array of strings that are the email addresses, i.e. not as a record with an EMAIL item.

    What i would like to see in next video is; what are the limitations of get items or the number of columns & rows in SP list to work with.

    Not related to this video exactly, but you are smart enough to figure a huge headache I am dealing with Teams "Inspection App". If you edit the "review Inspection" part of the app and re-publish it to teams it breaks. You can no longer click on a submitted Inspection and review the results. It just shows (0) issues and (0) good. If you could help that would be amazing!

    Shane, appreciate all the content--never ending mind bogglingness! I have a question if you have a chance. For your "Status" choice column when you were adding to the field you added /Value. How do you get multiple choices from a choice column to be able to be added to the HTML table? I am going nuts trying to figure it out... Thanks again for the awesome content!

    • @ShanesCows
      @ShanesCows  Год назад

      Multiple choice fields in SharePoint are stored as a table. You will need to loop through the table and grab the Value for each record (row) in that table. I haven't done it for flow in ages but in my head you would use an Apply to Each to loop through.

    • @chrisproctor2854
      @chrisproctor2854 Год назад +1

      @@ShanesCows thanks for the reply! I’ve been messing around with all sorts of apply to each loops and none of them seem to be sticking.
      For some reason I am not able to pull the Value from the column when looking for it in dynamic content. Is there a reason I can see it when doing a “when an item is created” trigger vs a “recurrence” trigger?

    • @ShanesCows
      @ShanesCows  Год назад

      @@chrisproctor2854 I am sure flow is just being a jerk. :( You can copy the dynamic content from a place it does work and paste it in most likely. You also might hit up the support at PowerApps911.com see if trading some screenshots help

    Hi @Shane, thoughts on how I could use a calculated share point list column within power automate? I am getting an error ‘Calculated’ cannot be used in the query filter expression.

    • @ShanesCows
      @ShanesCows  Месяц назад

      Annoying, but yeah I kind of remember seeing that years ago. Those calculated columns are useless for filtering and such. ☹️

      I did find a workaround however another roadblock along with it. I was able to parse JSON to get the email addresses but having trouble with filtering. Your method seems straightforward when columns only contain email addresses but the column in our data set has user which has email and other info as well. Thoughts on how to include Parse JSON along with the filter to make it work?

    Hi Shane, once again you came to the rescue, but I hit a bit of a brick wall. I am using the same concept you are using to get item due, and i need to send a reminder email to a few persons linked to the item itself (of list of items). so i have a Responsible Project Manager column (person Column), this is where I use the steps in the video (took me about 3 weeks to try and get it figured out until i got to your video ;) ) but now in my HTML table I need to show the Responsible Planner (person Column) DisplayName, and then i have a assignee column (multi person column), but I cant get there names shown in the HTML column, it shows blank even after I tried the /DisplayName, for the time being, i am leaving it out, and will try to apply these steps to filter out the activities assignees and build the HTML table.
    can you advice on how I can show the DisplayName's in the HTML table that I cant seem to get

    I have looked all over how to trigger an email if a status in sharepoint does not change. Note: I don't have list name so it does not show to select which is why it has been so difficult to mirror the process for get items. I have a column with selections and I want to send a reminder if the excel file added the task progress stays in 'Not Started' due to no action. I also need the email to come from inside the excel files added which all names are dynamic (not the same)... any help is appreciated.
