    Those were some pretty rustic conditions but the views were totally worth it! Would you be up for roughing it in exchange for a spectacular walk in the mountains?

    So happy to see that you all made it without any injuries or issues. As a former USMC infantryman, I'd say you definitely got some good "grunt" time in! The views looked amazing, and it is great that you were able to stop and enjoy them from time to time.

    This was great! love it and you both did a fantastic job filming and editing it so we could all really get a good feel of what it was like for you and the dogs. Such amazing scenery! I love wilderness and rustic adventures. Just got back from 7 days of canoe portaging in Killarney Provincial Park in Ontario. We do this every year. We are seasoned pros and carry a lot of weight over those portages which can be tricky and have steep sections with lots of ankle twister roots and rocks.We like to in pretty far s we are the only ones camping on a lake. It is so nice though to get unplugged for an entire week - everything slows right down and becomes very single-threaded. Such a nice change from all the multitasking we do in our regular day-to-day lives. I feel so refreshed and spiritually renewed after these trips. Maybe I'll make a video about it on next year's trip 🥰

    • @OurFreedomYears
      @OurFreedomYears  2 года назад +1

      So great that you had a wonderful time in Killarney! Such a beautiful place. We actually had our very first trip together many years ago in Killarney. The rain was coming down pretty hard when we set off in our canoes but eventually we dried out and got to enjoy our surroundings. You should definitely make a video of your next trip...it's a great way to share the experience with others.

    Comment/question unrelated to your hike... Hey there, what do you do for transportation locally? You are in your AirBnB yet a tiny mile walk is 10 minutes so getting any place every day can be a pain when you think about it.... always dealing with a ride service or public transit. Ever thought about taking a bike traveling with you? We're about to leave soon for Greece and thinking about folding bikes.

    That sounds amazing - and really tough - but I'd absolutely love to do it! I'd probably split some of the legs of the trek in two though ;)

    • @OurFreedomYears
      @OurFreedomYears  2 года назад

      We would have loved to split some of the legs but it seems like you'd have to be willing to camp. The trail goes into some fairly isolated parts of the mountain and settlements seem to be few and far between!

    • @Yamataki
      @Yamataki 2 года назад

      @@OurFreedomYears Oh that's good to know! I'll definitely have to do my research before I go. Might also look into doing just part of the route then.

    • @OurFreedomYears

      @@Yamataki There's a very popular stretch between Theth and Valbone, which was the first day of our hike. It's a good option for getting a taste of the hike without doing the whole thing.
