I have totally given up on any market..craft fair..church bazaar... WAY too much work in set up not to mention the time and money for material involved in making all the wonderful things...to sell so little I either gift my work, or sell by orders...
That’s so nice that your husband is out there helping you. My kids are supportive and into it - they like making things too - but my husband just stays home and wants us to take the dogs too. He even claims that I brainwash my kids because he thinks it’s a waste of time.
Oh no :( My husband is definitely the opposite. He won't stay home even if I tell him too lol It's not all positive though. I sometimes feel guilty because I'm taking away from his free time and he works hard during his day job. I'm glad your kids are supportive though! We all need those cheerleaders in our lives ❤️
Wow, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that. I’m not the type of person to butt into other people’s relationships, but something about your post really struck a chord with me. His behavior is actually toxic. It’s one thing to not be super supportive of your dream. Lots of people are like that for whatever reason. But to go as far as telling you that you’re brainwashing your kids because you have a dream that you want to share with them? That’s… beyond unreasonable. It doesn’t sound healthy for you or your kids. He sounds extremely selfish. I would never tell you what to do, but I hope you at least recognize how toxic his behavior is and it can’t be good for any of you. 😢
That is my average for my craft shows. My worst show I only sold 2$ and I had to drive an hr away and pay 45$ for the booth. So gas booth and product I was -125$
Sorry that happened to you. Venue really does matter. I’m being more picky each year about which markets I attend. Sometimes one will still trick me into thinking it’s good tho 😂
$125 for an outdoor craft fair is a lot. Sorry the weather wasn't better. Love your amis.
Yeah I guess I’ve still got a lot to learn! Thanks ♥️
We live and we learn!! I hope you had a lovely holiday after that!

Thank you for sharing how your sales go.

Sorry to hear that :( it really is about finding the right markets. I’ve learned to be more choosy in general but this one got me good 😂
What did that fee pay for.....what did the organizers to for you all.....supposedly?
I had the worst fair ever. I only sold 4 items. That sucked. I will never go to a mall craft fair ever
