Love the video...I have been anxiously awaiting your market results! Congrats on such a fantastic market experience...so happy for you. At my last market, I tagged all my items individually. On one side of the tag was the price and on the other side was a code that tells me the brand and color of yarn I used to make the item and what the item was. Ex: PC-CLB/LTB-SAX would be a small axolotl made with parfait chunky in classic blue and light blue. Then every time I sell an item I just remove the tag (I used small safety pins to attach the tags to the items) and put it in a container. At the end of the market, I add up all the prices on the tags to get my sales. I also use the tags to know what to remake. Once the item is remade, I attach the tag and it's ready for the next market. I don't have to write down my sales or count my inventory post-market. It's a simple system that works well for me. Putting a gazebo up is my worst part of a market because I absolutely hate asking for help but I just can't get that first post up that try so bloody hard but had to ask for help last time (I hated my last market) I was surprised to hear that you also have trouble getting yours set up without help but glad someone helped out. I've got another market this Sunday and going to try and post on IG this time and see how I go. I would love to see more prep videos and what you crochet during the week. So many new patterns are popping this month in the lead up to Christmas that I've been side tracked by all the hype

That’s amazing!!!! That’s an average of $17.71 per sale!!!! Definitely set aside like $500 to pay for future markets!!!! I am doing a market on the 9th that we are paying $110 for 2 spots (because it’s 6’x5’ spots each) I’m hoping to at least cover our cost…. And anything extra is awesome…. I have had shows where we have lost $300 (because of having to rent a hotel room & food at the event bc no outside food was allowed). I’ve had shows that we made almost $300 but the commonplace has been that we have mostly done music festivals…. Our BEST success was at a small local flea market 😅 and our others that we did really well at were at school and church craft fairs 😂 so for next year that’s the plan to book!
That's smart to keep track of that stuff! I actually think of my square reader it said about $20ish an order since it was just over $2,100 on square alone. I don't think I could do travel markets. I was so exhausted after this one 😭
I include it now! When I first started, I didn't, but as the orders got larger and I saw square taking fees out, I added it in. I do my state tax (4%), and I have a sign at my table now that says all purchases made using card will have tax. No tax on cash or Venmo. Hope that helps! 😄

I get snuffed all the time with customs cause I never price them right! I’m in North Atlanta. Admittedly, I would say I’m in an area with people who do have money to spend. If I was in South Georgia, nobody would pay this
