But instead of getting depressed I said you know this is an opportunity to build more inventory. I am preparing for two upcoming craft shows (10/21 and 10/28). I started prepping rather late (in Sept.) because I didn't know what I wanted to make. Originally I was going to sew items (I am an avid sewist) but then the thought of making crochet items came to me. I have also been crocheting for many years. These are great tips and very helpful. I have 3 shows coming up so far - 1 in October and 2 in November. I am also hosting a sale in December so this will be a busy time coming up. I seem to sell the best when I take my goods to the school where I work. Co-workers are always asking me when I will be bringing in the next batch of items. I mainly make amigurumi, and keychains but I do make polymer clay charms. earrings etc. I find - in my area anyway (Toronto) that table fees have tripled since 2019. a table can cost from $125 to $250 for 5 or 6 hours where it used to be $40 to $60. it makes you have to be very selective to which markets you want to attend.

It all really depends on what direction you want to take your crochet business! If you're interested people ordering from you online, creating that platform may be a good idea, especially if you feel you can generate your own traffic!
If you're more interested in doing markets (at least at first), then more time and investment into physical display items and a preparation of an inventory might be a better way to go!
