  • In this video I talk about the importance of dropping the racquet head under the tennis ball. The right unit turn preparation will get you racquet set, to drop under the ball. Getting the racquet under the ball will help with more variety in the shot, better feel and contact. I will point to different hints about the contact point and follow through to finish.

    Highlight points for me:
    1. Don’t take the racket too far back behind you as that results in a more more linear swing at the ball (less racket drop).
    2. Make sure both elbows go up in the forward swing.

      Yes good pointers! As far as the racquet drop under the bal, it depends on how high the ball you are striking is. If it is lower ball then getting under the ball with dropping the racquet head more is very good. 👍
