when dread of the grave plays you just know battler is going to say the stupidest shit you've ever heard, the dude that edited this just knows too well
One thing that bothered me about Umineko is the mysteries are only upheld by lying to the audience. Nothing anyone says is trustworthy? That's fine. Nothing you see happen really happened? That's too far for a mystery. It's unrewarding for a mystery fan when they find out they never had a chance of solving the mystery from the start. They never where given the clues they needed. And the "clues" they do get are not real.
It's possible to solve Umineko though. Most unreliable scenes are still allegories for what actually happened. They're also unreliable because there's a narrator with a motive, and they certainly provide ample cluing in regards to that. It's understandable that sort of thing isn't in every mystery fan's ballpark(since most mysteries focus a lot more on having reliable factual clues, as they should), but there was a "point" to them that lets me forgive it.
Unreliable narration has always been a core element of WTC's mysteries, and as a reader it rests on you to see through it. Besides, unlike Higurashi where the entire narration is tinged with the protagonist's paranoia, in Umineko the detective's (i.e. Battler's) POV is assured to be objective - notice how Battler never witnesses magic scenes. For this reason, magic scenes are actually a good heuristic for determining who is aiding the culprit, ironically making the job of finding the accomplices easier; episode 4 is rife with examples of that.
It's just not the same without the crying ghosts
this scene is so amusing with the knowledge from ep7 \:D/
Literally everything Battler says here is the opposite of true.

''it's useless,it's all useless''it's an epic phrase in Japanese specially with dread of the grave playing in the background!~ ^0^

Deen gets points from me for actually using the music from the VN,
...then they lost some for not using DotG.
Well that´s why I did this.
I mean, that was one of my favourite scenes, and they ruined it by using suspicion YET AGAIN.
They ruined Sytem0 and used it wrong, too. :< It hurt my soul.
way better this way
They use it when he goes against EVA-trice
