Nice video; rock solid stable picture especially when moving closer to the car. Audio is clear & I liked the way you spoke to the viewer. Knowledge is a powerful commodity. I tried changing the rear wiper on my wife’s Kia only to find out I bought the wrong wiper at Walmart. In the long run I think it’s worth spending extra at the auto parts store to get the correct wiper blade.

Thanks for the amazon link! I went to autozone, o’Reillys, wal mart, and bi mart to look for the rear blade. We tried a lot and there was always SOMETHING that didn’t fit the wiper.

It should snap into place as shown in this video. Does it look exactly like the one you removed? You may want to make sure it is molded the same.

I think the replacement I got is not for Kia sportage. It hooks in ok but when I put the blade down back into the normal position it doesn't touch the window the complete length of the new blade.

I had the same problem today. Trico 12" rear blade on a 2016 Sportage DID NOT FIT. It's the brand listed in AutoZone's computer for replacement, and it doesn't lay flush with the window.

My wife watched this video then immediately went outside and broke the entire wiper blade assembly trying to muscle the blade out.

So we have to order the entire wiper assembly now. 🤨

If you are having a hard time finding a replacement wiper the dealer can also get you the correct one for your vehicle. Hope this helps you out.

I have a 2015 Sportage and what is shown in the video is not what I have. No single easy to operate clip. There are two removal points and the wiper arm does not want to fold out. I won't force it for fear of breaking it.

@@HomeOwnerRepair I borrowed an idea from a video from another brand of vehicle. I pulled off the cowling at the base of the wiper where it meets the window glass. Then the arm swung right out with moderate pressure. I got it done.

That wiper didn’t appear to be connected before you took it off, or maybe it’s that easy to take off, I’ll see.
