Best job I've ever had 10+ years. Loved the people, work and the freedom to be my own boss (after leaving the head office at 8am). Had a few unhappy customers (knowing that my work was accurate) I was threatened by calling police. I'd say "GO AHEAD Sir/Mam". The officer would show up and talk to me(I'd show them all my calculation and maps). They'd agree and make an idiot out of the homeowner after I've long driven away from the jobsite 😂😂
Why would the homeowner disagree with your calculations, is it that they think you're over calculating n costing their pockets?
@JAMESYTFF1K after I took my pages of notes and broke down my calculations (concluded from the survey plans of his street), he was like "OH YEAH, YOU'RE RIGHT!" and apologized

My first job out of high school was a rod man. We surveyed all over Saskatchewan,
super grid roads in the south. Many long days in the hot sun sucking dust, with my partner chaining and waveing the rod. Also squinting into the sun trying to read the engineers hand signals so we knew what to write on our lathes. That was in 1977, would of been nice to have a liitle Cobra FM communicater, lol

Just a quick question, what exactly is the meaning of "accuracy" on a theodolite manual. To be specific the Futtura Dt10 states accuracy 20" 10" it was written exactly like that with a couple of spaces between 20 and 10.. thats mostly feet they are referring to right?
