The ending of this game. Overall, it felt a little better than the prequel to me...
But it's time for the next one to come next.

- Here are the percentages for the three endings:
Under 75% = Samus leaves the planet
Between 75% and 99% = With the above requirement, Samus does fanservice by donning her Zero Sui before leaving the planet
100% = With the above requirements, you see something forming above Aether's atmosphere...

Watching those Ing desperately try to catch Samus and retrieve the energy as Dark Aether collapses is so damn satisfying. Bastards finally got the same taste of fear and dread that they gave to the Luminoth.
They deserved worse.

Actually I think they we're just trying to stop her from escaping so she would die with them, by that point it was too late to reinstall the energy to save there world.
There gone and Aether can now heal, that's all that matters.
2:33 has to be one of the most profound moments in all of gaming and it’s something that no other medium can compare too. The player has just finished a difficult and grueling adventure filled with twists and turns. The player has gone up against ungodly aliens and Samus’s counterpart, and the player manages to beat them all. The Luminoth species is saved and all threats to the system have been eliminated. Lore wise it’s one of Samus’s greatest accomplishments and in a movie this would be the place for a long drawn out monologue but instead we get Samus casually waving to the player, “Yeah, we just did that.” It leaves a smile in my face every time how cool and badass that moment is, Samus kicked ass and doesn’t need to say a poetic word or two on what she just did, just a simple wave as she walks into the future ready for the next hunt.
Dude, I resonated with this so immensely, the send-off might be the best send-off of any video game ever, or at least from my favorite game ever.
Such a strong ending. No words needed, Samus just leaves these people after saving their entire species, and needed no special sendoff to acknowledge what a hero she is.
It's telling that Samus says more without words than most protagonists do *with* words. Her actions speak for themselves.
She is a hero.
She’s known to be an introvert and I can’t help but sorta feel bad for the Ing.

I just beat this game for a 3rd time since 2009. Now I can finally get to Metroid Prime 3 Corruption for a 2nd time.
I had no idea that all those Luminoth were hibernating in the chambers that are in the Temple Sanctuary...
Yeah, you can scan them prior to this scene and it says something about it being something sustaining lifeforms. And the Luminoth you talk to also mentions something about you helping his friends.

i actually felt a bit bad for the pirates in this game, not only were the remaining troops being slaughtered by samus herself, they were also fending off the ing and dark samus was also messing with them as well by stealing phazon(i think a scan mentioned this) they never stood a chance.
Surely, they were cursed.

Watching the ending again now I wonder, was Dark Samus the responsible of the collapse of that phathon wall when Samus was surrounded by the Ing? I mean, maybe it wanted to save her life so it can have it's personal rematch with her later.
Baifomet I’m pretty confident Dark Samus was indeed responsible for that. Because with her still in the dark world, her only way of escaping back to their dimension was to dismantle the wall, which also led to Samus being able to return.

Dark Samus was probably responsible for the wall disappearing. She probably absorbed it to save herself. But definitely not out of rivalry. Dark Samus doesn't care about much outside of her own plans.

Dude, this question could be a bit late ... but, how do you made that 12:05 time with 100% of the game?? It was the first time you played?? Because i spend 18 hours yo finally end the game with 76% jajaja
It was the second time, but I was more careful and managed to get everything by simply keeping a lookout with Scan Visor.

When you know exactly what to do and where to go you shave hours off. I've hit 100% in 6 hours before. Others have done it in far less time.
@@sergioraulwilo Late reply but I've gotten 10 hours in this game as my record, there's this neat guide on gamefaqs that tells you the most convenient way to each item in order, and tells you each scan and item as you go to said areas
Although, I doubt I would beat it in 10 hours without the guide

Well all except for the ones who possessed other creatures on Aether at time Dark Aether collapsed, and of course the Phaz-Ing in Prime 3 Corruption which I think the Ing themselves descended from, since we know it was a Leviathan that hit Aether and created the Dark Dimension that is Dare Aether. A theory exists that the Phaz-Ing that we're on the Leviathan that created Dark Aether were somehow altered by either the rift that toar open the Dark Dimension or Dark Aethers Atmosphere to evolve from beings of Phazon to beings of Darkness.
I wonder of any Darklings aka Ing possessed creatures are still alive on aether after Dark Aether was destroyed.
I can’t help but sorta feel bad for the Ing warriors as they were just trying to desperately stop Samus from escaping to save their home world from total annihilation 😢

Yeah lol. Prime 1's model looked amazing, and Prime 3's model was ok. How did they mess up her character model so badly?
The Sims 2 called they want their character models back.
In Prime 3 it looked like they copied ZSS model from Smash Bros. Brawl, the shading in her hair is identical!
And too where might I ask were all these Warrior Ing where when Samus fought there Emperor for the existence of there world? Playing bingo?
I think you mean the Luminoth. They were all hibernating in stasis pods at the Great Temple, either to await their deaths by the Ing or in the small chance a miracle could happen to save them.
Guess which one happened first!
@AuraChannelerChris No actually I meant all the Warrior Ing that tried to stop Samus Aran from escaping the Dark Dimension after she defeated Dark Samus. Had they all aided Emperor Ing during her fight with Samus, or atleast attacked her during the fight with Dark Samus to retrieve the light Energy they might have saved there world.
Fun fact : the Luminoth were later exterminated by the Space Pirates, going almost extinct, and were forcefully assimilated in the Federation when they arrived to provide assistance after Samus reported.

Scans actually indicated in Meteoroid Prime 3 aboard Valhalla that the Luminoth were thriving and with the help of Federation forces dis assimilated all of the space pirates mining sights.
...really?...I'll have to read the prime 3 scans more closely
Weren't most if not all Luminoth were kept in hibernation until a savior would arrive? I remember the leader saying this in the scans
Yes, and at the end of prime 2 here they awake.
