- The Edmonton Oilers played their best game of the post-season to stimy the Vancouver Canucks by a score of 5-1! Connor McDavid had 3 assists, Leon Draisaitl had 2 points and the #oilers had depth scoring contributions at 5v5 against the #canucks that allowed for them to push this series to a 7th and deciding game. The last game 7 to be played at Rogers Arena was in 2011... against the Boston Bruins. There are A LOT of things to talk about so let's get to it! Let's Go Oilers! 🧡💙🧡💙 #nhl

i just knew that there was no way the oilers were going out at home. it looks like the canucks were thinking that to. man did they lay an egg.
Lack of urgency. I just don't know what they are thinking. Looks like a real lack of urgency. Forgot why they are there.
Canucks played the worst game of the playoffs while oilers played their best. Not to take away from the oilers of course; they played out of their damn minds and skinner actually looked good too.

I was in the arena for game 6 it was the most electric environment I have ever experienced. The energy in the arena was indescribable, can’t wait for game 7

Glad to see they mostly addressed my concerns although I still think MacLeod needs to sit. The hits in this game was the difference. The powerplay will need to be better next game as there's zero chance the Nucks will come out flat.
Oh, and Skinner wasn't really tested so hard to make a call on that.

Oilers first multiple goal game this is same way they beat kings out and now pressure is on Vancouver and if the oilers come out same way it's there's to win they just have more scoring power up front and when there on other team is finished every oilers goal was good goals no bounces just good plays and nice finishing hymans goal was still a nice goal he wanted to one time it but hit his skate and he still had a good shot that went off goaltender up and over into net all the pressure is on Vancouver not good going home this was a changing moment with a 5 to 1 win

Janmark has been excellent. What we really needed was Carrick in for Perry, notice how Carrick has more hits in 4 games played than Perry in 10? Perry has been slow and bad.

I hope I come to have to eat my words, as I had posted Edmonton didn't have the spine or spirit to win this series. "IF" they play G7 like they played G6, I think they will win, even if Vancouver shows up. I don't think they've played that well as a collective yet in these playoffs.
That's a big, big if though. We just haven't seen that consistency from these guys in these playoffs. I have no confidence that the team that showed up in 6, is the team that will show up in 7. I'll also take 5-on-5 goals over PP, any day. 5-on-5 is guaranteed, PP is not.
We'll see here. If Edmonton is moving on though, it will have to be a mirror performance, because Vancouver, is not going out like some fart in a hurricane. If they're going down, it will be right to the buzzer.
This will be a good game seven. Picked oilers in 7 in my bracket and have been saying it all along. Rangers to win it all.

With all respect to Stuart Skinner it didn't matter who started for Edmonton. With how much better Edmonton played Skinner would have had to be horrific for Vancouver to have a chance. Great effort by the Oilers, but super disappointing to see your team pull an absolute no-show in the biggest game of the season.

My major concern is that EDM tends to come out flat the game after putting up a big number on the scoreboard.
Between that, being on the road, and the poor ice in VAN, the Oil have their work cut of from them if they want yet another shot at Dallas.
I went to the game. The Canucks did not show up 99 percent of oilers fans where great. If the oilers play like that in game 7 and the Canucks play like they did in game 5 in game 7 us fans are all in for a treat. Best of luck oilers fans. Go Canucks Go
