I live in my friend's house in Abilene (howdy Ashley!). He got approved for a housing voucher (I was going to do that but my mother is getting older *76* and slowing down so I am going to move back in with her in Northeast TX). Except for the cold (and allergies), I enjoyed living in West TX. The heat puts my fibromyalgia into a mild remission, I have an active life for being disabled, I enjoy going to the senior center and crochet, put puzzles together and play bingo. When my friend moves out, I am going on a cleaning spree (his uncle plans to hide from me on those days). I am just going to set it up for his uncle, get my things packed for the move (I am addicted to yarn...LOL!) and give my final good-byes to my friends and family that I have here (stepson will get some of his dad's ashes in a couple of weeks). Sorry for the rambling but I am so going to miss West Texas! I am going to donate about a quarter of my books to either the library for their annual sale or to the senior center, some yarn to my crocheting group and I cannot take my washer or dryer and some bookshelves so I am donating them to a group that helps the homeless or displaced people transcending to a new place to live.

I like how you fold their clothes in their dresser. I need to tidy up my girl’s playroom and their bedroom. They’ve learned to hang their clothes in their closet but they need a storage for their random stuff they have in the room.
We were in the high 70’s in central Louisiana yesterday and then today raining and freezing. 🥶 The back and forth weather is killing my joints 😖 I recently moved and I’m going through what I unpack and getting rid of things we haven’t used. Wish I would have had time before the moved to donate 🤦🏻♀️ My sons stuff is hardest so this motivation is needed. ❤ God bless.
Ashley, that was a workout but worth the time it took. The room looks great. Now the boys can enjoy the room in this new stage of Athan's life. The naps may have disappeared but getting rid of the crib will be good for him as he is growing. The home declutter must feel lighter and refreshing 👍🏼😊🛏
Totally agree with picking ur battles Ashley, I don't think it hurts that they wear their tommorow clothes to bed. Also.its important to give them choice esp when it doesn't really matter in the whole scheme of things xx Well dun tackling the room it looks fab xx
My daughter who now has 3 children of her own, use to dress at night in her school clothes so she had more time in the morning. I thought it was crazy but she loved it. She is the best Mama herself today.
My grandson loves Pokémon cards, but they were everywhere…his uncle bought him a large Pokémon binder on Amazon for Christmas. He arranged them in the card protectors (like baseball card sheets) and he loves it! You may want to invest in one or three…😂
I keep all my clothes in the wardrobe come winter or summer. I would never allow my child to wear outdoor clothes in bed, but if it works for you then no problem. 😺💐
The boys bedroom looks so much better, maybe think about Bettie’s bedding for the bunk beds it’ll make washing and making the beds so much easier 😉❤️🇨🇦
Looks great, Ashley. I love how you arranged their room. I remember when I took down the crib too. It is sad when you close a chapter. Maybe you can have Eathan do "quiet time" so you get a little break. He doesn't have to sleep but he has to stay in his room. Even all-day preschool has quiet time. YOU need it more than he does :)
We put the season we are in of clothing closest to reach (front of closet) and rotate them to the back as the season passes. So long sleeves easiest to reach in winter and fall and then short sleeve and no sleeve closest in spring and summer (:
I get you on how hard it is with kids growing up. My oldest is 19. Then I have a 16 year old, 11 year old and 9 year old. All boys. They grow up in a wink of an eye. We live in South Carolina. About an hour from Myrtle Beach. We are having spring weather already. Temps in the low 70s. We rarely get snow.
First Athan got his haircut and now the crib is gone, he really is growing up so fast. Their room came out so nice. For their toy box could you possibly get a shoe organizer for over the closet door and put the toy box in the closet? Or on the wall straight ahead as you walk in? The room is so big and open now. I remember doing that for my son Easton, going through the clothes and toys. I too got emotional because he is my only child and I was fighting to keep him little lol. So I really felt that. Your house is so organized and clean, everything turned out so nice. Fantastic job!!!

Hi, Ashley. I actually found you early last year but I lost track of your channel but I found you again thanks to this new decluttering series, I got a little bit of Spring Fever myself so I put you on every weekend and tackle a new area of the house. I also love those drop boxes, I actually have three of those random parking lots around 5-8 minutes away from me so those donations bags are out of the house on the same day they're made. I find it so funny when you say that your kids have so many clothes because I'm always thinking the same. Growing up, my siblings and I didn't have that many clothes because we went to schools that required uniforms and once we got our jobs, we also had to wear uniforms, I remember that as a teenager my oldest brother used to ask me to spend the summers at his house so I could babysit his kids while they were at work, the first summer he was really surprised that I only wore jeans and blouses around the house and called our mom to ask her if I had only packed "going out clothes" and she told him that those clothes and pj's were the only clothes I had because I was in uniform all day, so really, I didn't need that many clothes, so he took me shopping and bought me a bunch of summer clothes because he thought that wearing jeans and blouses around the house during summer was uncomfortable. As for the storing of the clothes, I live in South Texas and it doesn't really get that cold in here even during winter, as for Spring-Fall, 80 is like the lowest in here, I also have a small closet, so those winter clothes go into storage whenever I do Spring Cleaning, my whole family does the same, only two of my siblings don't do it but that's because they have bigger closets and they also kinda have hoarder tendencies due to their partners. Anyway, I enjoy watching your videos, I'm so glad I found you again, I already subscribed so I don't lose your channel again.

I saw another video of yours and heard your daughter has acid reflux. As a dental assistant I wanted to give you a tip. Have her rinse her mouth out with a baking soda and water mix after she vomits. The alkaline solution will neutralize the acid on the teeth and will help the acid from not breaking down the enamel. Hope that’s helpful.😊

No separation for me, a lot of people put their clothes away by the season. I need all my clothes out. I wear shorts around the house in winter, and sleeveless shirts . I wear long sleeves in summer etc.

I just love your decluttering videos! Their room looks so good! It is a balmy 15° F here in northern MN. Hopefully we are done with negative temps during the day now. It's nice that the sun finally has some warmth when it is out now. 😋 But winter doesn't start to go away here until mid-March or later.
You did a great job with their room! I have a couple of sets of those shelves & I love how versatile they are. I hope that you haven't gotten rid of the crib yet, you could order replacement screws from the manufacturer and it would be as good as new.
I also make donations from things I cull from my home: love the drop boxes! I will put bags and boxes of donations into my trunk and they do NOT ever come back into the house! I will eventually pass the Goodwill outlet or a drop box area and unload whatever I have... This has become a habit and works well so I don't end up storing donations in my little house.

I have all our clothes out year round because I have space, but separate winter and summer in the closets and drawers. BTW, how many bottoms and t-shirts does a kid need?. Never thought about myself as a minimalist but maybe I am one of them. But my declutters are famous, LOL. About sleeping with next day clothes, gross, wait until they are teens, with all the hormones and so, bdej!!
My 8 year old likes to wear her school clothes to bed as well. Sometimes she will wear pajamas but most of the time it is school clothes so she doesn't have to dress the next morning. I see someone said it wasn't sanitary, but I see nothing wrong. I worried about wrinkles at first, but the clothes don't seem to wrinkle. Let the do it.
If it's Ikea they've given me hardware for free when it was missing (after too many moves). They may still do that. There's no point in tossing furniture if all it needs is new screws.
A cute story on how I got my daughter off of her pacifier we took and cut a hole in the top of her pacifiers and told her that the bugs ate a hole in her pacifier and she didn't like bugs so she threw it out the window in the car and never wanted one again LOL
Sometimes my 3 year old will want to keep his t shirt or vest on instead of changing into a PJ top at bedtime. 🤷 Why not? As you say, got to pick your battles. Does it really matter that much.
I, personally, wouldn’t let them sleep in their school clothes. They would look like a wrinkled mess in the morning. There must be something they would feel like sleeping in. Soon they will be using deodorant etc and how will that work? I’m for pj’s. 💕 just my thoughts on this.

I live in council bluffs Iowa and it's 90 outside but you add the humidity and it 100 plus with every low wind .
In my area of Texas it's 41 degrees at 10:30pm on Friday night February 10th. I definitely have my heat on.

You should sell the crib with stripped hardware. Let the buyer know screws are stripped and they may need to buy new screws.

I, personally, wouldn’t let them sleep in their school clothes. They would look like a wrinkled mess in the morning. There must be something they would feel like sleeping in. Soon they will be using deodorant etc and how will that work? I’m for pj’s. 💕 just my thoughts on this.
