Hey Ash, maybe put the bed along the window wall, then you have more open space, placing the desk & drawers on opposite walls, giving more room for the chair to move? Great job, looks so much cleaner & more organised ❤

Keep the windows closed in that dusty room and get a good air purifier. I did this with my son’s room. HUGE game changer. The less textiles in the room, the better too.

Love the content this morning I decluttered my bedroom closet and dresser s I got rid of 3 bags of clothes and one bag of shoes it was time now it looks so much better
Are you changing your filters out at every 3months? That can cause a lot of dust buildup because the filter isn't catching it if it's already covered. I also clean out my vents and vacuum as far back as I can reach thru the duct work. That has helped me. I'm allergic to dust so I have to keep it minimal, and bacteria/viruses is supposed to be in dust so it can cause you to get sick. It turned out great👍🏼 you've been doing soo much, very motivational 🙂
Removing the carpet might help with the dust! Every carpeted room I’ve had has been super dusty no matter how much I vacuum. But changing floors might be a bit drastic 😁 I love my plastic floors that can be mopped but they’re hideous.
I would love to put down some hard floors. But since we won’t be in this house very long we likely won’t. But next house I would love more hard floors! 🙌🏼🥰
My guess is the dust is from her keeping her door closed, the central heat/air unit doesn’t circulate the air from her room maybe. Buy an air cleaner/purifier for her room

Wow, what a clean up. I like the room layout. I see what you mean about minimal room but I like the foot of the bed facing the door. That's just me. Great job 👍🏼
Hi Ashley
To dust a fan you can use a pillow case and it contains the dust. It’s a tip I heard some years ago.
Maybe hang everything clothes wise up in the wardrobe and get the dresser out. Then have the organiser below the window and the desk where it was x
I have a lot of baskets full of toys that the kids don't use and I am feeling really motivated and I will go through the baskets tomorrow

I love watching Athan and you it reminds me of me and my boy when he was little 😻 he always helped me to do "dobs" (jobs) 😺 even asking my Sister if she had dobs for him, he is now still my lovely boy of 34 and quite easily runs his own home, time goes to fast. Love your videos Ashley always full of good content. 💐

Love these videos just a suggestion maybe put the bed long ways against the window wall with the dresser next to the bed loads more floor space and desk where it is .x

Nice work ! An idea for your daughter's bed can be a dorm bed, like a bunk bed with nothing underneath so there's a bit more floor space
I was just talking about that with her the other day! Maybe we can see how much they are & swap it out sometime in the future 😊
Whenever I do my declutter I always get three of the large trash cans the plastic trash cans and I mark one trash mark-one donate and one keep and then the one that says donate and the one that says trash will go downstairs to my garage and I will dispose of the trash and immediately take off donated that way it's out of my way and I don't have to do any guesswork or think about it. The keep pile trash can will stay upstairs and then I will put away accordingly it just takes the guesswork out of it and you don't have to think about it it's easy to toss right into the right trash can if that makes sense and I just do this with every room
I have a suggestion for your daughter's closet. Since you aren't going to be using that lower rod, could you take it and the shelf out and then lower the upper rod? The upper rod is so high, I'm sure your daughter can't reach her clothes. Just a suggestion. Thanks for another great decluttering video.
Ashley I think at 12 I wouldn't be very pleased at my mom sorting everything out maybe better to let her do it, it will learn her in the long run to organize 😊
Nice. You can get her a shoe organizer for behind the closet door. This way most of her shoes are easier to find. I wish she’d let you get her a full size bed. She’d have much more room. Careful with the dresser in front of the window. I don’t know if your windows get condensation during the winter but if you do you might get mildew on the drawers or musty smelling clothes.
I found a show rack/tower on wheels at Target that I got for my 11 year old. It's very durable and it fits a lot of shoes. It was pretty affordable as well.

As far as her shoes if you want to keep your floor space clear they have an over-the-door shoe hanger that you can put shoes in or they have the ones that you can wrap around your bar where you hang your clothes to where you can put your shoes in there

@@ashleyforbes It just gives you a whole lot more floor space and they’re easier to get to if you get that over the door because it hangs inside the closet door that way you don’t ever say it unless you open the door
I’ve been decluttering all my cabinets, closets, and drawers. It’s been a job, but so rewarding. Today, I completed a job of cleaning out my antique buffet(I couldn’t believe what was stuffed in it)and matching China hutch. I have my husbands closet ( the job I’m dreading)to do and then I’m done. I am the same about organizers, I love them. I even put organizers in my fridge and freezer.

Are you able to switch her room with a sibling with smaller furniture?
Check your air filter. Changing more frequently will help with the dust.

Hello dear my opinion if there is a disk without top shelves you can put it under the window and leave the dresser in its place I don't know I like the window and curtains not covered in the room and sunshine coming through the room in the morning it gives a positive. Good job 👍 my greetings

Ashley, great job cleaning your daughter's room! Yeah I remember those days when I clean the kids rooms. I had 4, 2 boys 2 girls, all under 6 1/2yrs, yes after trying for about 2yrs. It was a good feeling after cleaning it up all neat & tidy! Both boys & girls were their room together. No room for each one to have. They would of loved it but couldn't afford it. What about switching the bed & dresser would that give a little more space? Maybe even the desk over on that side. Maybe she'd go for a full size bed smaller than a queen but bigger than a twin. The bedroom looks fabulous, and I like how you moved the chest in front of the window, there seems to be more room she can get out of bed uncluttered and at the end of the bed there is more room! So nice, great job Mom!

A suggestion for the furniture placement. What about placing the bed across the room at the window end and then the desk and dresser across from each other at the other end. Might create more room.

My craft stuff is hard to declutter cause its so fun looking.
I just learned the kon mari method and im not great at the long sleeved shirt method. I like high waisted now, but its cause i need it now 😆though low waisted looked good when i wore it in the past.

It looks nice, but having the dresser blocking the window could be a safety issue if there's a fire. Also, she might just want to open or look out the window. A shorter dresser would work but then she'd have fewer drawers and would need to declutter some more. :)

You might want to check the duct in her ceiling to see if it is connected correctly, it could be blowing dust into her room.

Hello Ashley, Aubrey’s room looked so good, that was a lot of hard work. Y’all might want to hire Stanley Steamer and get your air ducts clean. My friends home was in terrible shape with dust and after they treated it the dust wasn’t near as bad. Just a thought. I hope y’all have a wonderful blessed weekend. Totally agree. I do not like high waisted jeans at all.. I'm 5'3 and I hate crop tops..so I'm always looking for low rise jeans :)
I feel like on shorter people it makes us look a bit boxy 🥴 at least that’s how I feel when I try to do the high waisted pants with a crop top lol

I struggle with my bedroom. I'm the same with my kids, they clean their own rooms majority of the time. I also struggle with laundry, when it gets overwhelming, it all goes in my room and the door gets shut. My room is always a mess

If her room gets dusty quicker than the other ones maybe it would be good to add a small air purifier. That should maintain the dust level lower, making easier to clean and having better air quality. Some rooms just need a little more help 🤷🏾♀️
