      Look into Sonny Liston's career and life, that man deserves to have his career reassessed, I think he's the greatest heavyweight I've ever seen. The sport was spoiled with talent back then. You had guys like Ray, Sonny, Ali and so many more in such a short period of time. Absolutely amazing.

      @@susanlloyd7395 - no he isn't; he's accurate...and probably intentionally so by the generous Mr. Kelly. No sane person would claim that either man is better at the other's primary profession, so Gene doesn't need to "show up" Sugar Ray...its not necessary. Pipe down.

      I wasn't suggesting for a second that Robinson was a better dancer but I do think his movement is more fluid than Kelly's in this sequence.

    • @Thor-Orion
      @Thor-Orion 2 года назад +3

      @@ppuh6tfrz646 Yeah, Kelly had an amazing ability to make his partner shine. Kelly was typically the athletic, fluid dancer, but knew in this routine that his job was to keep them on time for the steps, so he's a little stiffer than usual to ensure that Ray stays close to the choreography's timing by toning down his own (Gene's, I mean) stylistic dancing and keeping it simple.

    Sugar Ray my favourite sportsman ever AND -incidentally- "the greatest" boxer of all time. Ali and the rest of the other claimants pale compared with Robinson's all round pugilistic talents.

    • @Thor-Orion
      @Thor-Orion 2 года назад +3

      Ray is probably the greatest, I'd say there are a few in the same ballpark as Ray in terms of magnificence in the ring. If you want someone similarly athletic I'd say Roy Jones Jr is amazing, but for a different stylistic type of boxer Carlos Monzon was an amazing boxer-puncher.
