The main criticism coming out is how Hamas made a point of not releasing families together. So they can threaten them if they dare to say anything about how they were treated.
I'm guessing this is why most Muslims call Palestinians "animals."

What the retired general suggested was that Israel should have been allowed to continue its massacre of the children and Palestinian civilians for the continued success achieved by Israel. But if he really knows what went on the battlefield for Israel to claim any success he did not share. My guess is he simply does not know. Israel did not allow any foreign journalists in Gaza during the war, there is a total blockade on information on war coming out of Gaza and Israel did not specifically mention anything that points to a significant success. But the general simply wants the killing to continue.

Palestinians made their beds by voting for and enabling a genocidal terrorist group for decades. I have as much sympathy for them as the world had for the children that suffered under the leadership of Hitler and the Third Reich. That's ZERO sympathy, btw.
A recent poll taken on 14 Nov, 2023, in Gaza, by the Arab World for Research and Development (AWRAD) shows that 86% of Gazans support Hamas as well as the Oct 7 genocidal atrocities. The democrat MSM can fairly be characterized as outright liars and enablers of muslim Hamas. Muslim Hamas, as the world has long known, has used hospitals, mosques, schools, and ambulances in clear contravention of international law to store military weaponry, and hide and transport fighters. Israel claimed at the start something that everyone in Gaza -- including the UN personnel stationed there -- knew: Underneath the hospital was the muslim Hamas operational headquarters and series of tunnels leading to and from the hospital. Major news outlets suggested strongly that Israel’s claim was a lie. After Israel took over the hospital and secured the underground, definitively proving how the hospital had been used by muslim Hamas, including how it drained electricity and water from it to maintain its operations, how muslim terrorists took refuge there, and even transported hostages there. the lie had spread around the world. Why did the press do this disparage Israel?
Journalism was designed so reporters could guide you towards truth. But they're bad at it, as the bulk of them don't know very much and the very best are still generalists. But also, because it becomes subtly corrosive in the way we saw during Trump, where they all convinced each other to print the same democrat partisan line by telling each other it's the truth. Journalism is supposed to be about facts and, more specifically, it's supposed to be a competitive industry where the incentives are about printing facts out before anyone else. "Scoops."
There was a time when having to print a correction was the most professionally mortifying thing imaginable. As journalism declined, and especially during Trump, they used all sorts of tricks with each other to take out the sting. Things that should have been "corrections" got downgraded to "editor's notes," and things that should have been "editor's notes" got downgraded to stealth edits. They had to, because they were simply making things up as they went along, and it wouldn't have worked otherwise.
As for the status of the exchange, Hamas released none of the American hostages -- 13 Israeli women and children, the women mostly aged and frail (indeed, Hamas had earlier reported one had died in captivity) and a number of Thais and a Filipino whose exchange had been negotiated separately with Iran by the government of Thailand. Not one American was released. Not one young woman. Not a nine-month-old baby, Other breaches by Hamas have occurred and more are likely. The deal required ICRC access to all the hostages to assess their health -- and whether they are even alive -- and this never happened. The IDF has surrounded the fighters in Northern Gaza and that was the line set by agreement. Hamas is trying to break this by encouraging young men in the south to come to the north.
As we go to press, the muslims are playing a delaying game by refusing to release the second batch of hostages -- remember these hostages include children and a nine-month-old baby. Israel has given them until 12 midnight on Saturday night to release them or the pause will be over and the attack resumed.
As Hamas delays, it and its left wing allies are drumming up left wing street mobs around the world, and posting ridiculously phony videos on social media, appealing to the credulous and partisan -- things like Hamas fighters wearing Israeli uniforms and bragging about stealing a necklace and demolishing a building, and more of the same Pallywood pictures of kids smeared with paint which they claim are the victims of “genocide.”
It’s time to wipe Gaza out, and follow the suggestion of Egypt’s president. These muslim's can neither govern nor comply with the basic requirements of decency and international law, and they never will be able to. Pave Gaza.

Face it, Israel has a million hostages in Gaza. Letting a few hundred people out of prison doesn't disadvantage them at all. Once Hamas has no hostages the Israelis have nothing to limit their action. Israel has already shown it doesn't care about Palestinian civilians. They claim they're only doing what they have to and that they have no other choice. If they can blame civilian deaths on Hamas, so much the better from their perspective.

To achieve lasting peace, nations must recognize their shared humanity and transcend the divisions that often fuel conflict. Embracing diversity and fostering mutual respect can lay the foundation for a more peaceful world.
France and Germany: These two countries were once bitter rivals, but they have now been at peace for over 70 years. This was achieved through a process of reconciliation, which included economic cooperation, cultural exchange, and political cooperation.
Israel and Egypt: These two countries fought four wars between 1948 and 1973. However, in 1978, they signed a peace treaty that has lasted to this day. The treaty was based on mutual recognition and a commitment to peaceful coexistence.

I often agree with Clark. This interview was lacking perspective. The pause is to gain release for the hostages. With Israel`s drones, planes, missiles, tanks, armoured vehicles, and over all superior war materials; Israel can wipe out Hamas in Gaza at any time they chose. He says Hamas will be viewed as the victors, by who? The death count will probably end up at 15 or 20 to 1. This is no one`s idea of victory! His " certain amount" of civilian casualties is the whole issue. Clark`s position is screw the hostages, screw the Palestinians, and continue to inflame the arab world with the hope Hamas will be destroyed. This is what would make them valiant martyrs against the bullies, Israel.

Mr. Retired General, if the hostage swap is a ''NET LOSS" for Israel, what name would you coin to the failed mission in Afghanistan and inhumane exit operation that devoured 13 lives of American troops and many Afghanis citizens who were the backbone of the Allied Mission in that country? 15000 souls, 😢 I am a Muslim , And I condole loss if both sides and I believe there should be no comparison to be made , remaining in between violence and fear is horrible but the looking down on souls with less inheritance and deterrent ability and killing them like mass slaughter in the political ideology is horrible genocide. The one with dominant ability must let it go , must reach it's hand ahead first to establish peace common sense but alas 😞 . Humanity can never be transcend with benevolence over greed and politics . The oppressed will always sacrifice with hospitality but the occupant oppressor will never grow conscience rather the will create hostility through out the entire region and create rogue souls of vengeance deliberately .😞.

The general needs to look up the meaning of existential. Hamas doesn't have a fleet of B2 bombers, F35s or nuclear weapons. At the most they can inflict relatively minor carnage. Apologies to any israelis, as that statement is meant to give relativity, not diminish their anguish. Israel, on the otherhand, are an existential threat to the Palestinians because they are largely unarmed.

He enlist and then he have starch in his laundry. Make ALL the difference. Anyway. What the view like from retired General? To a non-general, a 'net loss' for Israel create a positive global 'ripple effect.' When world witness an amped up military, buy weapons from super power, beat on neighbor, with NO army, it lower the overall humanity. Same with Russia invade Ukraine. If you wrong about one war and right about one, assuming General with Ukraine, you at 50 percent, which is a 'D.'

The commenters don’t understand what the general is saying. He is discussing the exact same principle for which authorities always try to dissuade people from providing ransoms and negotiating alone with kidnappers and hostage takers. This is about the future, about how much Hamas and Iran will be influenced to take hostages again. Will Hamas get so much aid and world support for its atrocities because the focus is entirely on recovering the hostages, that the major result is endless kidnappings and killings of Israeli civilians? Commenters here are not considering Israel’s history with hostage taking. Especially the comments that the general doesn’t care about the hostages fate are completely wrong and show no understanding.

We might be so dumb as not to understand what the Criminal General is saying but what we understand is that YOUR relatives and friends and not under the bombarded houses/slabs of GAZA. The prisoner swap is a win-win for both sides. Israel failed to retrieve the captives after 40 days of killing children but now they've got their people back. HAMAS is the resistance fighting the brutal military occupation; they win by getting women and children out of Israeli jails.

No. It seems the families of the hostages want their loved ones back safely. It also seems, this was a smart strategic move, for both sides of the experience. It also seems, the IDF forces retain their hopes aims ambitions to go after the dangerous individuals intent to cause harm and perhaps apprehend for questions some of the others. God willing Israel is successful, in regards to all of that, those things. In Jesus’ name.
