  • Setlist:
00:00 - If You Only Knew:
"In 1999 we were promoting a demo called Stagg Street Recordings. This song was the opening track on that disc. We were still called Kara’s Flowers at this point, but we were starting to write songs with a bit of a soul influence, which was the first inkling of what would become Maroon 5."
03:28 - Simple Kind of Lovely:
"This song was track 3 on Stagg Street Recordings."
    07:08 - The Great Getaway:
"This song was track 4 on Stagg Street Recordings. I don’t remember exactly what inspired this song, but there’s definitely a little Paul Simon influence, and I threw in some Latin & Caribbean rhythms for good measure."
    11:35 - Everyday Goodbyes:
"This song was the closing track on Stagg Street Recordings."
    15:26 - These Days:
"This song was a remnant of a transitional period when we were incorporating a lot of different influences, some of which we ended up moving on from. We only played this song live and never recorded it in a studio, but it was an interesting transitional song in the development of the band."
    20:14 - However, Whatever:
"This song started with a chorus melody and chord progression I had written, which Adam took and turned into a whole song. We only played it live a few times and never recorded it, but it was an interesting transitional song in the development of the Maroon 5 sound."

I need more of this :) I love gems of Karas Flowers surfacing the internet, it's almost as if Adam doesn't acknowledge his rock prowess anymore

he sometimes still does kickass rock things live. and overall they mostly don't play their pop songs as poppy as they are on studio albums when they do them live. so, maybe not on this level, but every now and again he does still show his audience he's an awesome guitar player
