How to Use Banking Apps on Rooted Devices! (Android 12)

A little while ago, I stopped rooting my main, everyday devices because a few apps I rely on stopped working as a result.
But I recently stumbled upon a solution, which should work for any rooted device running Android 12.
As always, do this at your own risk and always backup your phone before going ahead with this process.

Okay, I'm not current rooted and don't plan on doing so, but I learned something new watching this video. You can swap between open/background apps simply by swiping left/right. All this time I thought I had to do this giant swooping motion, dragging up and over. What a shocker to find out I could've been doing it this way all the time. Thanks!

I want to do it, i have also a a S8, to get the new usb ETHERNET tether, instead of the normal usb cable tether, does that option works? When u root / upgrade from android 10 > 11 or higher?

How'd you get Netflix to show up in the play store again? I still don't see it
@@STANTHEMOTOMAN I think adding google play store to the DenyList in Magisk did the trick but I can't recall if that was it.

Keep in mind that deleting an app's cache may log you out from that app. It happened to me and locked me out from the banking system, because i used the app for 2FA

i just finished unrooting but bricking my phone and fixed it (finally omg!) for the sole purpose of using bank apps, then this came out.
It makes you wonder how much of this is for security and how much is just to discourage people from rooting their device
this. this is what prevented me from rooting since 2013. I just gave up on all the broken useless methods. finally I can have root and use my phone normally

Android 13 I got away with it without needing the terminal thing... I hid the app, installed the modules, and configured the denylist... Worked flawlessly! Cheers

I had a feeling from the description it wasn't telling us anything new, and these are not actually banking apps. But... If people didn't know this already I'm sure they found it very useful.

@@numan5503 Not in my experience, no. It seems to depend on location ( country ) and bank, the only way to know for sure is to try. I'm in UK and I don't know of anyone that has their banking app working on a rooted device with this method.
@@numan5503 While this does fix the issue with Google Pay, this did not work for my actual banking app. Even after hiding Magisk app, and following each step carefully, my Bank app still somehow recognizes that my phone is rooted, or has the bootloader unlocked.

Hey Sam I have a question: can I do the standard "install to second slot after ota" in magisk when upgrading from Android 11 to 12 (as long as I have magisk canary installed)? Or do I have to manually re-root after the update. Thanks!
Afaik you have to reroot after every update since the boot image gets overwritten
@@Kriteax that's not what I was asking; you must always re-root the boot image in slot b with magisk before rebooting to complete the update with root; I was asking if this will still work during the upgrade from Android 11 to 12 as long as magisk canary is installed, or if the upgrade from 11 to 12 requires using fastboot to flash the image.

Yes but make sure you have the latest magisk canary because you might brick you phone if you dont

How do you upgrade your Pixel 6 without losing Root?
sometimes even after all this certain banking apps wont work in which case Lsposed and the module xprivacy Lua to hide all the apps permissions will certainly work.
