I've been baking for 50 years, but I've never really learned the "why" behind each step of the baking process. Total 717 grams instead of the original recipe which makes around 1300 grams of frosting Ingredients : Egg whites 138 grams Granulated sugar 166 grams Unsalted butter 250 grams Vanilla extract 3 grams Pinch of salt or 0.1 gram Dark chocolate 158 grams

It’s a lot easier to bake when someone in your family loves baking too,bc then you’ll have all the ingredients at home (and not have to pay for them 😆) 💕 Here’s an easy recipe that requires hardly any ingredients: Mix 2tbsp cocoa powder with 1-2 tbsp boiling water,set aside Mix 100g melted butter,100g flour,2 eggs,the cocoa powder water mixture,100g sugar,1 tsp baking powder. Pop in oven at 170 degrees celcius until cooked. Hope this helped! Not anything mind-blowing or fancy,but tastes pretty good and fun and easy to make!
Just made these and OMG!! So delicious, fudgy and moist. I was a little intimidated at first making the Swiss Meringue but it was actually so easy and just took some patience. The icing came out so light and airy with the perfect balance of chocolate and sweetness. Great recipe to make if you need to make a lot of cupcakes because they do rise a lot in the pans so you barely need to fill them cupcake liners. Thank you!

In fact, I have made it so many times, I have lost count and cupcakes are 100% perfection every time. I have memorized this recipe!! I have yet to make your chocolate frosting as I am a bit intimated with anything other than American Buttercream! 😅🧁. In fact... I love your chocolate cupcake recipe so much that I have converted it into vanilla cupcakes as well!! I was getting so tired of trying various recipes only to end up tossing the entire batch of cupcakes into the green bin! I have tried your vanilla cupcakes, but I have had great success with tweaking your chocolate cupcake recipe. I reduce the sugar to 1 cup, omit cocoa powder & coffee, add 1-1/2 tbsp pure vanilla extract and add 1/4 cup of 18% table cream. The vegetable oil makes the cupcakes so pillowy & fluffy! I made this recipe yesterday and it came out so good! A nice thing that would be nice to see for the next recipes is if the oven needs to be ventilated or static. I'm not sure if this option exists for ovens in US, but in Europe it's very common and it can really change the outcome of the baking.

Well I tried your recipe of cupcake for the first time and it turned out really amazing . I just made the frosting differently with whipping cream,melted chocolate and a tbsp of butter and a little bit of cocoa.Neverthless , it was outstanding

I made both these and the chocolate cake for my daughter's birthday party and they are easily a new family favorite. I was so scared to make the Swiss Meringue Buttercream, watched the video 3x and then worked up the nerve to attempt it. It truly is as easy as he makes it seem and now we've made multiple times since it's also a new favorite. Not too sweet and holds form quite well.

Okay, making that Swiss meringue buttercream was a magical experience! The best part was as I added the 3rd to last tablespoon of butter, it magically changed texture and it was so fun to watch. I was, however, confused by the difference between the recipe on your video and the linked recipe on your website. I was trying to use your video as a guide for the recipe and had different amounts of ingredients prepped. BTW, this recipe worked out great for making 6 jumbo cupcakes.

Mix 100g melted butter,100g flour,2 eggs,the cocoa powder water mixture,100g sugar,1 tsp baking powder.
Pop in oven at 170 degrees celcius until cooked.

Just made these and OMG!! So delicious, fudgy and moist. I was a little intimidated at first making the Swiss Meringue but it was actually so easy and just took some patience. The icing came out so light and airy with the perfect balance of chocolate and sweetness. Great recipe to make if you need to make a lot of cupcakes because they do rise a lot in the pans so you barely need to fill them cupcake liners. Thank you!

Hi John: Just wanted to let you know that your chocolate cupcake recipe is my go-to recipe for chocolate cupcakes. In fact, I have made it so many times, I have lost count and cupcakes are 100% perfection every time. I have memorized this recipe!! I have yet to make your chocolate frosting as I am a bit intimated with anything other than American Buttercream! 😅🧁. In fact... I love your chocolate cupcake recipe so much that I have converted it into vanilla cupcakes as well!! I was getting so tired of trying various recipes only to end up tossing the entire batch of cupcakes into the green bin! I have tried your vanilla cupcakes, but I have had great success with tweaking your chocolate cupcake recipe. I reduce the sugar to 1 cup, omit cocoa powder & coffee, add 1-1/2 tbsp pure vanilla extract and add 1/4 cup of 18% table cream. The vegetable oil makes the cupcakes so pillowy & fluffy! Everything else remains constant. I bake them for 17-18 minutes @ 350F. Thanks again for all your great videos. You are my cupcake hero! Keep inspiring everyone! Cupcake Adventures 🇨🇦🧁

I made this recipe yesterday and it came out so good! A nice thing that would be nice to see for the next recipes is if the oven needs to be ventilated or static. I'm not sure if this option exists for ovens in US, but in Europe it's very common and it can really change the outcome of the baking.

Well I tried your recipe of cupcake for the first time and it turned out really amazing . I just made the frosting differently with whipping cream,melted chocolate and a tbsp of butter and a little bit of cocoa.Neverthless , it was outstanding

I made both these and the chocolate cake for my daughter's birthday party and they are easily a new family favorite. I was so scared to make the Swiss Meringue Buttercream, watched the video 3x and then worked up the nerve to attempt it. It truly is as easy as he makes it seem and now we've made multiple times since it's also a new favorite. Not too sweet and holds form quite well.

Okay, making that Swiss meringue buttercream was a magical experience! The best part was as I added the 3rd to last tablespoon of butter, it magically changed texture and it was so fun to watch. And the taste and texture! I’ve never tasted a frosting so light and flavorful. Amazing! I’m making the cupcakes tomorrow and then delivering to my fellow middle school teachers during virtual p/t conferences - another reason I love your channel and probably why you are so good at teaching these recipes.

I was, however, confused by the difference between the recipe on your video and the linked recipe on your website. I was trying to use your video as a guide for the recipe and had different amounts of ingredients prepped.
