NEW Top Chicago Suburbs Vlog - Watch Here! ruclips.net/video/AmFcUzdq8fg/видео.html
Thank you for this video, I really needed it. Keep them coming
Love your top 10 picks!
Current DG resident, former longtime Oak Park resident. Love them both ❤️
I live in Westmont IL. laid back and friendly. Love it. 💯
Speaking from experience, I'm going to disagree with you on Wheaton. As a POC, living there for a short period of time, there was multiple occasions where I didn't feel comfortable. Whether it was me taking my dog for a walk and getting looks or at the store when the baggers would walk away when I was getting checked out. I thought maybe it was just unlucky coincidence but they (Wheaton) recently were in the news for having a politician (who's a holocaust denier) win his election unopposed. I won't be moving back there
Sorry to hear, thanks for the input!
Loved this video!
Glad you liked it! Which Chicago Suburb is your favorite?
Dude I have binged your videos but it’s bold of you to assume I’m not subscribed cause I am and I have notifications on
Spot on.. I live in Oak park currently and Love it! I do feel safe in my neighborhood. Also, I love all of the Western suburbs..surprisingly Oakbrook wasn't included. But u got OP...Thanks the review ☺
Thanks! I lived in OP for 3+ yrs and I have business there often. Look for my best downtowns in the Chicago western suburbs coming soon!!
Outstanding and very informative brother. Love from INDIA :)
Thank you 😊 Because I want to move back home
This may be one of my favorite videos you’ve done yet! Great job dude!
It was fun to make! Which one is your favorite town?
@@AustinWeiss I love Glen Ellyn :)
Super cool video bro! Makes me miss Chicago more
Thanks! Where'd you move too?
I moved to Arizona about 20 years ago. I live in Phoenix, but I always miss Chicago. Seeing these videos remind me of my college days
Great video ! You totally left out Saint Charles though and Campton Hills. CH has one of the highest median incomes in the state and has been ranked as the safest town in IL
Not really suburbs of Chicago cause it’s far but I grew up in Plainfield, IL. In between Joliet and Naperville.
Plainfield I believe was or is still one of the fastest growing towns in the state.
I like your videos. You consolidate lots of helpful and relevant information. However, the background music is very distracting. Just a thought...
Love the video but would it bepossible to talk about the industry that are located in those cities?
Love the vid , check out Land Cruiser Midwest...
Great video, very accurate. I love the downtown areas of most of the ‘burbs you mentioned. I live in La Grange and we absolutely love it here. I also work in Naperville area (Lisle) and we Lunch and hang out in downtown Naperville often. It’s the best suburban downtown area, ours in LG is small compared to Naperville. Great job on your videos. New sub here!
I love La Grange - I'll be launching a best downtowns in the Chicago suburbs video later this month so stay tuned!
@@AustinWeiss Will do! Keep up the good work.
Yeah Naperville downtown in the summer is beautiful and fun.
Grew up in Elmhurst IL
I loved living in Naperville
Elmhurst is the best in my opinion! What a great video review. Hope to see more of these from you.
Which place is best for new growing family , interracial family . What’s best for fun and nice people ?
Downers grove is pretty decent. Great community. Just people can’t drive but that everywhere
Hi. Austin.
I plan to move and start my painting company soon in IL. In your opinion what's the best suburbs to offer my painting services? Thank you for your time.
I'd look at average price points for different suburbs and determine where your target market would be based on your previous business.
This is too informative. Thank you so much 🙂 will binge watch your videos! Cant wait to move to Chicago this year. Will try to contact you via email i hope you dont mind.
Awesome! I'm launching the top 10 downtown areas in the western suburbs this weekend so make sure to watch 😎🏠
@@AustinWeiss thanks! Ill keep you posted. You're a life saver!
I just moved to Aurora IL
Pingree Grove is an up and coming town with tons of room for growth in commercial property. Great prices for single family and townhouses $160k-$450k
Good to know and I will check it out!
Nothing out there . To soon to be moving to pingree .
I'm going to be working in the Elmhurst area, what would you say is a good location for someone fresh out of college? Elmhurst downtown seems like a good option, but I'd really like to be closer to the city without too much of a commute. I looked at Oak Park, but it seems like that's a 30-45 minute drive during rush hour, and at that point I might as well find something around West Loop
Depending where your work is take the Metra and skip the 290 traffic. If you want to be in the city West Loop area is a great option. If you want suburbs consider Oak Brook, Oak Park, Elmhurst and any town along the Metra line to Elmhurst.
Good luck affording Elmhurst
Hinsdale is such a nice town with amazing entertainment
Tell me more about the amazing entertainment!
Living in Chicago Illinois there are so many little shops and restaurants to go to that are fun but pricey
The price to pay to support small businesses is worth it - looking forward to doing a future vlog on Hinsdale!
Very interesting!
Of the three sisters born and raised in Duluth Minn. in the early 1900's all became teachers, one a home economics Jr. High teacher, another first the superintendent of art in the Winnetka school system, later a professor of art education in the New York University system during the 50-60's and lastly my mother taught music education in Evanston. I'll, West Allis, Wi and was the Minister of Music for a 2,400 member Wauwatosa Methodist Church which had four pastors.
This was BEFORE the mega churches with the percussion section, electric quitars, brass etc.
She oversaw six choirs and conducted the 100 member Chancel Choir.
Do one about living in Wheaton!
It's on the future projects list! Do you live in Wheaton?
@@AustinWeiss My wife and I are closing on a house in Wheaton. It would be nice to see a video of everything it has to offer. Your videos are very informative. 👍
I live in Downers Grove on Ogden, meaning in just a couple miles I can be in Lisle, Lombard, or Westmont. My initial goal before finding my place was to be in Oak Park but this area has won me over(except my loud upstairs neighbors)... which has me considering the search again in Oak Park or other cities in the West burbs once my lease is up in June.
I don't know what suburbs are the best and worst and affordable out here..including my burb..palos hills. Palos Heights and Palos park.all around me too ..like Oak lawn, hickory hills, worth,Chicago Ridge,Orland park.monee.home Glenn,Frankfort ..let me know..great channel
I may do a video on the southwest suburbs in the future - thanks for watching 👍
I live in oak park I go to Oak Park River Forest the city is dope my top 3 are Oak Park Lombard then number 3 is Downers Grove
Yeah the OPRF area is a nice spot in a great location 😎
Yay Elmhurst!!
Love Elmhurst!
My top four:
Oak Park
Oak Park
Oak Park
Oak Park
If I had to pick a 5th it would be Oak Park.
I love Oak Park and lived there for 3+ yrs - make sure to check out this home I'm marketing in the Oak Park Arts District ruclips.net/video/luXym7c6qi0/видео.html
Nah oakbrook and Hinsdale better
@@lucasiwanski186 Hinsdale is low key expensive
@@lucasiwanski186 but yeah
As a former River Forest resident, I can say that it was okay. If you don't mind the racist police that follow black residents walking down Bonnie Brae in the afternoon. I lived there for 2 years and I was followed to the library every single time. Other than that, you just have to worry about the skunks and wolves that randomly show up on your property and the college kids(there are 2 private colleges in River Forest) that may end up drunk walking down your street. River Forest is more family friendly. Let the single and young folks have Oak Park. The bustling downtown and historic district is great for young people who need to get into the city quickly. Metra could be better over there. I have never been on a train coming into downtown that got to me on time.
That’s being responsible not racist
Looking at different suburbs near Chicago. Thanks for the video.
All sounds nice but biggest question is how is the diversity in each area?
Are the people welcoming to POC? Any POC on here want to chime in.
Last thing I'd want is to buy a property next to a racist neighbor.
I’m in Naperville been here almost 2 yrs heard it was racist but I have yet to encounter any
@@cdbeatsj542 i used to live out west, excluding Glendale heights and west Chicago, most of the suburbs have very little Latinos or Blacks.
Right?!?? I have an interracial family and constantly wondering about these videos…best top 10 for who? I wish there was the subject of diversity and safety for POC included.
Can you put all your links for Glen Ellyn please. Thanks
Did you mean update the links? What information are you looking for?
Please can you do something on flora and salem illinois
I'll consider it!
Too many people moved into my hometown of Oak Park! It is overly crowded now. Us veteran Oak Parkans are sick of the traffic due to all the new apartments and new people!!
Are there any affordable suburbs in that are reasonably priced..these burbs are expensive when your on a fixed income social security .?..love your channel
Each town I mention has homes in many different price points, all depends on what you need for your lifestyle 😎
Cheapest areas are far far away from the city.
Hinsdale is beautiful but the people are not so nice
Techinically they are snobs, there's a little bar on York Rd called the York Tavern ( actually in Oak Brook ). In the parking lot you can see a Ferrarri next to a beat up F-150, inside you can sit next to a guy who does not have a pot to piss in, but the next guy is a Billionaire who has no business being there except to see some poor people have some fun. Those Hinsdalians are not nice people at all, actually they are not people that I would consider members of humanity!
What do you guys think about Norridge
Norridge is a small densely populated town on the outskirts of Chicago near O'Hare Airport - they get heavy flyover traffic. They recently jacked up their property taxes to pay for pensions. Are you thinking of moving there?
Nothing special
Lived in Oak Park back in 1983. Currently in AZ North Scottsdale
Shorewood Naperville Bolingbrook Plainfield Joliet are 🐐
JTown! 💯
Joliet is a tale of two cities though. 😂the city center reminds me of my childhood growing up around the midway area.
I just moved to southeast Aurora ( close to Naperville 59 )
What’s your opinion on southeast aurora close to Illinois 59 ? It is in 204 school district, nicer area in aurora super close to Naperville and affordable housing comparing to Naperville ?
SE Aurora was a cornfield when I was a kid! But there are some nice neighborhoods in 204 that are affordable - was just there viewing homes 😎
@@AustinWeiss The only downside would be a little far away from I88. Other than that southeast aurora is a perfect location.
The music and drums drown you out. Sorry, Couldn't watch it with that music background
That's unfortunate, thanks for the feedback
Glenview is pretty nice
Yes it is, I may do a northwest suburbs video in the future 😎
Don’t sleep on Westmont though lol!
Love Westmont! I couldn't make a video about the Top 100 suburbs though 😄... I'd still be filming haha
I live in Westmont. Moved here abt a year ago. Love it.
Love westmont
How about Elk Grove Village? Good or Bad??
It a pretty good area in between Schaumburg and the airport plus Busse Woods is a cool spot to explore. Are you considering moving there?
Nothing special
Geneva the most beautiful ❤️ tbh
Despite Oak Park being a good place to live, I've heard it isn't that safe. Can someone just clarify ? Much appreciated
I lived in Oak Park within a half mile of Austin Blvd for 3yrs and always felt safe. Most people consider it an island along w/ Forest Park & River Forest.
@@AustinWeiss ok thank you I appreciate it. Keep up the good work !
Most of Kane is good tbh
Hello I'm single and looking for a place to buy in the city. Which areas are safe areas to buy income property owner occupied
Would depend on your budget however I'd suggest looking in Lincoln Park, Lakeview and West Loop - there are micro neighborhoods within those areas to consider as well. Feel free to reach out to me directly if you need any help.
How good is Glenview or Park ridge is to live if dependence is on Public transport?
Depends where you are going
@@Szcza04 I moved to Des plaines a month back and have got use to public transport. It’s really good as compared to other states of US.
@@SaloniSingh-sd9fk yeah we have some of the best when it comes to the USA. Could be better though.
@@Szcza04 True😊
The Metra trains and CTA lines are pretty good in Chicago and it won't cost very much to get around
Good job. But loose that music
Best suburbs my opinion are at north. evanston wilmette winnetka area.
Is wheeling Illinois a good place to live?
Close to airport which is no good. Cheap rentals. Not beautiful as a city but close the desplains river
Go a little NW like Arlington Heights.
It’s okay nothing special.
Best is Hinsdale
Which suburb is most accessible by public transportation? Also are you bears fan?
Suburbs that have a Metra train stop and Pace buses are very accessible via public transportation. I'm a fan of all Chicago sports teams! Do you use public transportation regularly?
CTA is an affordable way for traveling about the city and several lines stretch to the collar suburbs. It's way easier than driving and constantly having to hunt for and then pay for parking.
Probably Evanston or Willmette as the CTA goes there.
These areas are expensive but if your in that tax bracket to afford it than why not but I live in Dekalb/Sycamore area much more affordable
DeKalb/Sycamore are not suburbs of Chicago and really have very little going on in thise areas. I'm very familiar with the area as I went to NIU.
Actually Dekalb/Sycamore is considered to be apart of the Chicagoland area you can drive to Elburn which is 20 minutes away to get on the metra to get to the city the area is growing and there are major companies coming into the area. Facebook is building a data center here which would provide job opportunities for Niu students also Amazon is coming and they recently built Ferrara candy here so their are definitely opportunities here the cost of living here is way lower than all the towns you mentioned on this list that is what attracted me to this area and I’m from Aurora I work for the city of Dekalb and trust me thereare more opportunities coming plus the median home price is under 200k. Downtown Dekalb has been revitalized and more businesses are moving in to make my point I’m living very comfortable and able to see more of my money compared to living in suburbs closer to Chicago
Keeping more of your money in sacrifice of a lifestyle that is better in the actual suburbs of Chicago - anyone you talk to would not consider DeKalb/Sycamore a Suburb. I spent a decent amount of my twenties in the area and it's not an attractive environment for young professionals. Everyone I know who had lived there has moved out of that area to seek better opportunity elsewhere to start a family. I've taken many calls from people who will be working for those companies you mentioned and they are all considering better school districts, downtown areas and overall lifestyle further East - they'd prefer to commute. I'm sure working for the city provides you a municipal perspective and maybe there are great projects that have potential to improve the area in the future. But only time will tell and I look forward to seeing the changes because I do like to visit the area. When I see the improvements you mentioned I'd be glad to do a video in the future and make more people aware of the community. I appreciate you for your input and can tell you are passionate about the area - as am I because I made lots of great memories there!
Orland Park?
I will definitely feature Orland Park in a southwest suburbs video 😎
lake county IL it’s where six flags is at
The Lake County police and courts are corrupt.
*What's your favorite western suburb of Chicago, and why?!*
LGP just cuz
Wheaton or Glen Ellyn
Some of my favorite areas, beautiful homes 🏡
Madison Street is fun and has some great restaurants - I lived in Oak Park for 3yrs
Brown Cow is the go to spot for ice cream 🍦
All things must change, they are closing public housing in Chicago, guess where they are moving the people? Suburbs.
This is not me. "They" have been doing this for over 20 years.
And blk neighborhoods that was middle class and above and prosperous are now war zones!!!
They started that years ago with Mayor Daley.
Are you in Real Estate?
bro !! learn how to do a video !!! the music is waay to loud !!! I could barely hear you !!! HEY PEOPLE, like if you agree !!!
Bro! This video is from a couple years ago, you aren't the first person to say something and I have corrected the music in all my videos since.
@@AustinWeiss 🤣 I pushed a button didn’t I ?! 🤣😂
Why didn’t you put western suburbs in the description? I don’t wanna live there.
Western suburbs is on the video thumbnail - thanks for the feedback! Keep being awesome 👌
Oak Park? Surrounded by crime and nonsense from Berwyn, Cicero and the west side of Chi RAQ! Great place to live! Lmfao. No thanks!
It's beautiful 😍.... nothing else like it in Illinois....
Oak Park is awesome 👌 lived there for 3 years and enjoyed it
