- A massive Boeing 737 firefighting plane, currently on loan from Australia, was spotted in the midst of water-dropping over the Airport Fire in Orange County on Monday. Mike Rogers reports.
3 American pilot firefighters gave their lives in a aviation crash in 2020, fighting fires in NSW, Respect and RIP
I remember that and most of it was arson

Thank you New South Wales from another OC resident. I hope we can return the favor soon... it's getting tricky now that our fire seasons are overlapping more and more, but we have to do our best to help each other because we understand more than most that climate change is already here!
(for what it's worth the cities you are protecting right now… Most of them have gone almost completely renewable, including the largest city in the US to do so. Look up Orange County Power Authority. we are doing our best!)

Driving from la to pasadena you can see the HUGGGGGGGE CLOUD looks like a Nuke went off its crazyyy and the air quality is clear since the wind is blowing south again the time i was driving a few hours ago! God bless!

Why are dried bushes left close to people's houses? This fires damages could be reduced if you presume and do some homework, wreck out dry brush and dry field not waiting for it to start, creat an agency and to take care of the surroundings.

Southern California has always been known for aerospace tech and innovation. I don't understand why our state of California doesn't have a very large fleet of those older 737, 757, 767, 747 aircraft outfitted to fight those fires, we're paying way too much in man power to fight these fire. I think we should be loaning other countries our aircraft for a price. It will also create more jobs.

If forest management done properly, there wouldn't be fire like this every year. CA is an environmental friendly state, these fires are not environmental friendly at all. You seem to do the exact opposite of what you are preaching and rooting for. Why?
Huh. Maybe California has a fire ecology that's been going on for thousands of years? Long enough that plenty of plants including the sequoias require it to germinate 🤔

Terrible report all around. Also, that 737 is not Australian and the pilots aren’t Australian either. It has a contract with NSW RFS. The aircraft is from the United States, as are a lot of the aircraft sent down under for their fire season, because they never have had their own large air tankers and still don’t. Coulson owns and operates it, based in Coachella. Do better reporting
On loan? Maybe we buy our own....just saying...
Maybe they get training when theyre here “on loan” to us, and we get training with them during their fire season. Maybe it’s mutually beneficial.

We have Firefighting Helicopters and Jets. This is ridiculous. People don't know that Nero burnt part of Rome, so he could have the land to build his castle. This is extremely disconcerting that high tech Helicopters and Jets aren't in use to stop these fires. 😲😠
They are used. Check out CalFire firefighting aircraft.

@@susannaCdonovan23we have an agreement with them to share some equipment and crews since our fire seasons are opposite. And I'm guessing that it's cheaper to share than to set another plane up. Or we're checking out the plane to consider putting some into service.
