Insurance companies are going to look for any excuse not to pay out
Insurance companies will pay, they would rebuild again, 10 years from now another fire goes through, burns again and the cycle continues, Meanwhile insurance companies will Increase rates for every one under their policy to offset payoff's , Just don't live next to wooded areas or Build
When they renew the policy they will require everyone to get a separate fire policy.
They usually will only pay out for "acts of God". Which, arson is not.
Don't buy houses in these areas. Don't buy in California actually.
Insurance companies dropped homeowners' insurance in Rual areas years ago, where have you been?
16 ongoing fires. One arsonist, Halstenberg, arrested for the Line fire so far.

This reporter doesn’t know the cause and states it’s still under investigation? Is this guy serious? It was a work crew in OC that accidentally started it with work equipment.
I heard that it started as an EV fire that got out of control.
@@vernondavis561 No. It was clearly reported as public works crew in Trabuco Canyon moving boulders that sparked the blaze.
That's because current reporting standards and the doofus people they hire to read teleprompters are stupid.
Ironically they were moving the bolders to block dirt bikes from accessing the area. The claim was to prevent off-road vehicles from igniting forest fires….

I do find it interesting that this happens basically every year in the overgrown arid landscape of California, and yet City and Town planners still are allowing homes and Housing Developments to build in these areas... "we know it's going to burn, we just don't know exactly when or how bad"... that should be CRIMINAL... Why not build right on top of the San Andreas Fault... cheap land... and when has a coastal "cliff" not washed into the ocean?... the California cost line was much further out hundreds of years ago... it keeps eroding... SURPRISE!!!

I feel so bad for the firefighters I really do. They work so hard and sometimes they just can't control it. I know it's hindsight... It's easy to sit back from my office chair and wonder why there wasn't a water tanker nearby when this started, but who would have thought that something like this could happen from a spark?

Ground fires can 'cook' the trunk of the tree, cutting off sap/water/nutrient flows so the tree dies a few months in the future. If the trunk's bark is thick enough it can insulate and save the tree's 'insides.' You'll have to wait and see what happens and if it starts sprouting new stems, leaves, probably next spring.

It just doesn't add up. The last fires we have had were much much worse. Hotter and more dry situations and we were able to control them. So manynfores every where. All over the country. I remeber so many years, year after year super hot seasons. Yet these fires destroyed so much more. We all definitely noticed a massive decrease I'm personal that worked on these fires.

The MGB at 0:57 might have been a runner, but the others shown as the camera pans are in a salvage yard. Note that nothing shown in that part of the clip was made after 1975ish, plus the vehicles and other stuff are lying around pretty haphazardly. Not making light of what folks there are enduring, just wondering why the news crew decided to focus on a scrapyard for dramatic effect.

If California wasn't so corrupt they would have a fleet of water dropping aircraft. I remember when I lived in Rancho Cucamonga they announced they bought a new plane and not long after there was a fire and the plane was leased out to Canada and we couldn't get it back.
They use them up north.
We have and are using Firehawks, or water dropping aircraft as you call them. We have fourteen already with two more to be delivered next year. We are not a corrupt state, only MAGA’s say we are.
California actually has the largest airborne firefighting force in the world.
