- The Gibraltar Philharmonic Society and the Gibraltar Ministry of Culture are excited to announce A Celebration of Opera - as part of the National Week Celebrations 2020
The Society is honored to have American Soprano, Nadine Sierra; Spanish Tenor, Xavier Anduaga, accompanied by Pianist, David Aronson. The concert features the famous arias “O mio babbino caro” and “Granada.”
At a glance, he looks like Carreras. Only sometimes though. Xabier has a beautiful sound and a bright future ahead. Nadine, as always sounding glorious. Thank you for sharing!!

The Opera Magazine Readers’ 2023 Award was presented to American soprano Nadine Sierra, in the only award of the evening voted for by the public.
Nadine is truly a gift. She is that singer who doesn’t need any costumes, production sets or even an orchestra to perform. Just her and that once in a lifetime voice. She always has me right in the moment with her through her artistry and I only hope to have an impact like that with my own artistry for someone. Thank you, Nadine. ✨

She was named the Richard Tucker Award Winner in 2017 and was awarded the 2018 Beverly Sills Artist Award by the Metropolitan Opera. Having made a string of successful debuts at the Met, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra national de Paris, and Staatsoper Berlin, she has become a fixture at many of the top houses around the world. On August 24th, 2018, her debut album, There’s a Place for Us, was released under the Deutsche Grammophon/Universal Music labels.
I love this I absolutely love this and also the fact that the very first aria is from Kos Romeo and Juliet is wonderful because that’s one of my favorites.

Sierra glorious as usual. Not sure what some comments on here are talking about. Nevertheless, I found her to be refreshing. Xabier is def the tenor of the future. His voice needs a bit of seasoning, but great job overall.

Zastanawia brak odpowiedniej reakcji publiczności na tak znakomite interpretacje tych wspaniałych artystów, którzy stali się ostatnio najznakomitszymi przedstawicielami nowej fali czołówki światowej. Może słaby akompaniator popsuł ogólne wrażenie ?
