I watched that one and it was worth the money for their debut on the roles of Elvino and Amina. Someone said Xavier may have skipped a couple of D6 when singing Elvino, as if he were cheating, but I don't watch operas with their score in front to check they hit every note, so I don't care if a couple of notes are skipped as long as the full role is consistant and they look at ease singing, and they did.

If a take a step back from the opera's actual plot (though one never knows what the singers agreed to convey since no stage director i guess), I find nothing to say other than "Exquisite!", including & how not, vocally. How beautiful & utterly touching.
Keep in mind that this love duet is indeed a set up where the Duke of Mantua (Xavier Anduaga) is purposedly deceiving Gilda (Nadine Sierra), making her think he's just some poor scholar who is totally in love with her and they are supposedly getting to know each other. Still, I feel Xavier is acting way too cold for what he can deliver in a staged production and should have grabbed Nadine somehow to act out, since I know Nadine likes to act out the character even in concerts.
