Hi Ron, I'm thinking of trimming the top edge and front edge ( you did in this video) with 1 row of 1" mosaic or possibly 2 of narrower. Would you demonstrate how to do this properly? Or give me tips on how it should be done or if it isn't a good idea why? I'm on a budget and found some 12" porcelain tiles on sale that I want to tile my kitchen counter top with.

Liona, I'm not quite sure what you are asking. You can certainly make a mosaic out of porcelain, the trick will be in the cutting. Porcelain has a very hard surface and a good choice for the counter top. I have built several vanities using marble and it does scratch very easily. Since the pattern color on porcelain doesn't go all the way through, you will need to buy off the shelf edging.
