If i ever win the lottery i promise we will both go shopping there like two kids in a sweet shop lol. you know me always love the trucking video's and she sounds so nice as well.
if my boss saw me chain down like that I wouldnt have a job those chains are not tight that machine could move and most likely will should have at least a metre length of pipe about inch and a half and tighten down with that nothing will move then
I followed your trip up until the McDonald's on the roundabout... Is it you lot that farm those big fields either side of the M11? I used to work on Duxford Quarry you passed.
with a snap binder if you cant grab a full link go to where you hooked onto the side of trailer clevis and grab a link there . it will equal to half link over the total length.
All of your videos are always interesting and I especially enjoyed this one and how you made the chaining down of the machinery appear far easier than it must have been. People might not realise the physicality of the jobs - hard work but I guess rewarding.
George you should never chain of the side rail they aren't rated for loads like the clevits would be if the load tries to fall off it'll just tear those rails outwards in all honesty that trailer needs more places to chain to
Not a particularly dense population or traffic on the road compared to many places in the world so a big wide road would benefit a few people like George but would be to the detriment of many like land owners and it would cost the government much much more
I remember that day well when the turbo went on me then matey coming to fix it took it up the road and it screamed it's head off and we all run out to see what had happened gd time buddy
Great video, I like seeing the whole process
yes George you could quite literally have a field day in there lol
I got the pun too lol
I think the head mount is perfect to be honest, it gives a good first person point of view
Snowie same

People have different ways
yeah but vosa dont have different ways
he should have cross chained it aswell to stop sideways movment not a safe load at all
I know the load has to be secure but would it be easier using ratchet straps.
it's probably not legal to use straps to secure machinery. It's not in the states.
Ratchet straps aren't as strong as chains !
I take it that was a deliberate pun at the end "you could have a field day in here" Very good George. Shame about 220 and those impatient drivers.
I like this view and I love your videos, you just earned yourself a subscriber!
George it's always handy when people park on a corner. Especially when there's double yellow lines, it makes it really easy when you've a trailer on.
Love your vids mate keep em coming. Would love to work for you on the farm, seem like a nice chap
A 4 foot cheater pipe for those binder handles, works wonders.
Amazing video as usual Geroge! love the setting up videos and the in cab view of the truck was a very nice change! Keep-um coming!
I followed your trip up until the McDonald's on the roundabout... Is it you lot that farm those big fields either side of the M11? I used to work on Duxford Quarry you passed.
This ain't a long story short it's the whole fucking book Jesus u rattle on lol like the vids.
Did anyone spot the oil leak
David Last it wasn't oil, it'll be from the air conditioner
David Last water
@@jack99church from the back of the tractor... yeah ok...
Why do you need jumper cables to bring the ramps back up? Can that system not be fed through the main connections between truck and trailer?
Ok.
with a snap binder if you cant grab a full link go to where you hooked onto the side of trailer clevis and grab a link there . it will equal to half link over the total length.
I think you are a great lorry driver George.
I live in the same place as you and I saw you
more relaxed HGVING than JCBING .............harvest heat ? calm down my dear ! asDC said
I would hate to ride those narrow roads, especially considering I've ridden in a pickup truck as wide and almost as tall as your big rig
That’s the issue with young mechanics they don’t know wot there doing half the time
Does anyone know any good places to buy top links from? I'm looking to buy a new top link for a John Deere 8300. Thanks
Please can you do a farm tour 🚜
Show us some of the machinery George, that is a little different than we have in the States

Enjoyed that, what a polite fellow you are although as usual there is going to be an odd arsehole, looking forward to pt.3
I am glad you're driving George those narrow roads drive me nuts good job!
Good to see the old stumping ground (thaxted) now up on whittlesford and go to the museum when I can , great video George can't wait for part three .
Get the JCB 4000 they are so Worth the money we had one and it was brilliant (I left a like)
And also you need a twitch pipe about a meter or so the longer the better for more leverage hand tightened twitches are not tight enough
Can yuo do a milking vid
Just a question, why are the roads so narrow? There is plenty of room to of made them wider. Just curious.
Not a particularly dense population or traffic on the road compared to many places in the world so a big wide road would benefit a few people like George but would be to the detriment of many like land owners and it would cost the government much much more
Oh ok makes sense, Thanks
Grate video as alway thank you. I could spend all day looking around all that equipment. looking forward to seeing the next installment
surely strapping/chaining a vehicle down is the same as we do with recovery, strap the wheel or axel so it doesnt bounce and snap staps or chains
you should always cross your chains keeps stuff from sliding side to side;)
Why are plows so narrow, while cultivators are wide as hell?
You need a big steel tube for the chain tensioner's because it gives more leverage as do this in Australia
I live in Suffolk it's pretty close to duxford 40 min drive if u do the limit 😜
are farmers buying the machines they use or just rent?
since they are quite expensive
I remember that day well when the turbo went on me then matey coming to fix it took it up the road and it screamed it's head off and we all run out to see what had happened gd time buddy
get the dogs in the bales when moving them and do ratting if there are any
Don't think u needed one for the plough it's held down like fort nox bit ott
He's pushing a reliant robin with twin exhausts and chains in it at the start
