This band is awesome, actually this song is one of the lightest. They tend to be harder and darker. In my opinion, their best songs are the live versions of Angreifer, Knight of Sword, Black Pentagram and Dignity of Spirit. You'd enjoy their live for sure! Keep going man, good luck!

Here is another japanese (new) band with a violonist: East of Eden.Their first song Evolve is amazing. The second one This Moment is very good too.

*Shiren* (guitar and co-founder) has a tendon condition that kept him from playing for a couple of years. During that period *Jill* (Violin) played his parts in the dual solos with the other guitarist *Jinya* - she is a BEAST. To save his hands, his guitar is as light as possible. They've been together since 2008 - founded by Shiren and *Fuki* (vocals). You are right about the energy. This is one of the few bands that has the same High level of musicianship across all members as *Lovebites* . This release (Amarillys) is new, and a bit 'poppy' for them. For a real taste of their sound try *_Dignity of Spirit_* ruclips.net/video/x7W9DcUKY_U/видео.html I am a HUGE UM fan, and one of Jill's biggest 'fan boys' :0) . Fuki is amazing and has recorded for about 70 different bands, but her heart is in *Ankimo* (UM's Japanese name - means 'monkfish liver' :0) ). If you get hooked on this band I (and others) will send lots of information about them.

The guitar brand is Strandberg. Those guitars are light and ergonomic. The song is called Amaryllis.

I absolutely love this band. You're going to love them. I recommend pretty much all of them, but I think you'll really love "Welcome to Valhalla" or "The Black Death Mansion Murders"... or any of the other songs people have said. It's interesting that you say you love Fuki's singing.. This is nothing. This doesn't even scratch the surface of how good her vocals are. She sings this in a higher register than most of their other music, her voice is so rich, full, and amazing. Jill on Violin is a beast. You definitely need to watch some of her covers.

Please pay attention to violinist JiLL. She is currently one of the best metal violinists in the world. Of course, she has also won the highest awards as a classical violinist. She released a cover album with three members of unlucky morpheus, and I recommend checking out these two songs.

This is my absolute favorite song by Unlucky Morpheus. I love the energy in the song. It's just great. And I think the violin is brilliant anyway.
But by the way. Has no one really suggested MAN WITH A MISSION×milet - 絆ノ奇跡 / THE FIRST TAKE yet?

Good song, but this is their much lighter side not really representative of their overall sound. You might wonder if it was the same band if you heard “Unending Sorceress” “Cadaver/Revadac” or “Black Pentagram” UM are definitely one of my top favorites though
Yeah really a shitty intro song. Once you understand them, this song is a refreshing change. But not a wow song to grab someone.
Congrats on getting to Unlucky Morpheus-one of the best, most creative bands in the world today. They remain independent by choice, in order to retain complete artistic freedom. They started off in 2008, focused on making soundtracks to video games and anime. They went through a lot of different stylistic phases, but the big transformation was when they brought Jill (violin) on board. Like many Japanese bands, they sound incredibly clean and tight live. Meanwhile, amid the (justified) excitement over the Japanese all-female metal bands, we forget there are plenty of guys who throw down. Shiren, founder and one of the guitarists, also does the growls. Fumiya (Drums) is, as you saw, insane and inexhaustible-one of the best rock drummers in the world. Jinya (G) and Ogawa (B) are top-notch as well. Basically, this band is a technical monster. Fumiya and Ogawa also have interesting, “beast” personae which contrast with the “beauty” of Fuki and Jill. That contrast is a deliberate trope, similar to the “Beauty and the Beast” imagery of many European symphonic metal bands.
Fuki (lead singer) is a legend in Japan, and one of the busiest artists anywhere. She is also lead singer for UM, Doll$boxx, Lightbringer and her own ongoing project, Fuki Commune. Her style is very much out of the Japanese classical tradition, with the oversold vibrato and intense high notes. She collaborates with a lot of the top musical talents in Japan. Jill (violin) also has a busy dance card, including collaborations with Fuki and others outside of UM.
Jill is actually my favorite member of Unlucky Morpheus. I consider her the best rock/jazz/metal violinist in the world today, and probably the best since Jean-Luc Ponty. After Shiren (founder, original lead guitarist) started suffering from an injury that limits his playing, they rewrote a lot of his solos for Jill. I saw UM live in London in 2019, when they headlined Metal Matsuri. Great show, and the chemistry between Fuki and Jill was electric.
hahaha you'll be surprised, with them everything is possible and permitted musically, you're just scratching the surface of Unlucky Morpheus, completely untypical song but great as always, FUKI with her anime voice. Luckily there are Strandberg Guitars otherwise Shiren probably wouldn't be able to play without a guitar stand.

Sorry but this is one of their lightest and not really a good intro song in my opinion. Black Pentagram especially the live version showcases what they can do way more. There is a reason Black Pentagram is a show closer. Angrifier, Cadaver/Revadac, Knight of Sword, Unending Sorceress etc much preferred.
