Our family used to gas up at Exxon when I was 12 in 1990 when we were traveling that year to Myrtle Beach and we used the restroom and get sodas and snacks there too. They were clean and in good condition.
It's like half of Breezewood is abandoned!

It was indeed a Denny's. My kids and I ate there after visiting the Abandoned Pennsylvania Turnpike in 2014.

I have an Exxon near me that closed and has since been turned into a Sheetz. Be safe Wallie.
Wallie, sure as heck it was an Exxon station, as I've seen the same BLUE AND WHITE FONT in our Esso stations (in PR 1895-2006).
We also got THAT HIGH of a price several times (U$3.80 / gallon is exactly U$1 / liter, our all-time high being like U$1.07 / liter or $4.03 / gallon for 87-grade). Nowadays in my neighborhood it goes as low as U$0.447 / liter or ~ U$1.70 / gallon...

Pilot and TA truck stop which I think is called Gateway likely were chosen by travelers. Maybe the Gateway had the same owner and moved Exxon to their location. Nice mountain views in that area.

I enjoy watching your videos, I’m from the Breezewood area, not sure if you guys have seen the old abandoned hillcrest hotel in Bedford, about 16 miles west of Breezewood, you can actually get into it, might be worth checking out
So if you go a little further into Breezewood, there's a second Exxon on the other side of the road AND Gateway is also an Exxon.

That Place actually did reopen after Exxon closed it. But it was a private place that I don’t know if they had a name or not but they just had a sign out that just said. “Fuel” I’m not sure exactly when it closed again. I’m thinking at least a good 3-4 years ago
Still have a couple Exxon's near me! I know of a sixties style one (not certain on name) tho that's abandoned here! Also I feel the nippy weather thing- Cold weather's been a call for several refilms for me XD

Exxon closed after Denny’s
When I started with the pike 20 years ago I had to go out to Evrett for a training session and my counterpart there told me I should check out the abandoned pike so he told me how to get to it and I drove the company Jeep from breezewood to where it comes out right back on to the pike-those tunnels are very dark-there is another abandoned tunnel at 100 east that the Laurel facility uses as a salt storage shed but that was many years ago so maybe they stopped using for that

It looks like the Exxon moved to The Gateway Travel shop up the road from what is seen in Google maps and it was also between the old Taco Bell and the Demolished KFC back in 2011 right before Gateway Travel Shop.
It was an Exxon bc we use to stay at that day's inn when I was younger
I live in Harrisburg Pennsylvania I was once on a trip a road trip to Indianapolis I stopped in at that very gas station roughly 17 years ago to fill up one time

Interesting to me that there are so many abandoned things around Breezewood. Seems to me like it would be a prime area with all of the people travelling between the turnpike and I-70. I guess everyone just goes to the big truck stops now.

There’s another abandoned Exxon on up 70 right off the wafordsburg exit that the private company that had just closed about a year n half ago
i noticed that theres a abandoned wendy's behind the shell gas station, sadly its got cement guards blocking the entrance, plus the taco bell. sadly there was a kfc pretty close to the taco bell until the demolished it.
