Love the room, you have such great vision & everything looks cohesive, old but clean & cottage vibes, I personally love the saddle/bridle holders as a nod to the history of the house, great job 👌🏻🤩🧡
The room came out perfectly for your needs! The saddle things are terrific decor and represent the original use of the room. The library ladder is genius for the room too. Wonderful and smart use of the room.
An old picture of the stables in the 1800’s and portraits of the dogs , both in matching frames possibly dark bronze to tie in with the rest of the room. An excellent renovation!
Love your taste when it comes to interiors, Fleur, so I was very happy to see this video. Have rewatched your kitchen renovation video more times than I'd like to admit.
Boot room looks lovely! It's nice how you've kept a vibe that feels like a nod to the stables with the hooks/hangers, and the dark wood too. Gorgeous flooring too! We've got a tiny boot room to renovate and this would be dreamy!
This turned out so nice. I love how functional it is. The storage solution you chose really allows for everything to be unseen at all times which allows for the space to remain clutter free. I think this room would benefit from more lighting, and maybe a rug/runner but I honestly would grapple with covering up any of the flooring; it is beautiful. Great job!
So jealous, that is the dream for all us dog owners living a rural muddy life also very impressed you’ve not insta begged. It’s perfect and really in keeping with your property, well done 😀
Those antique saddle and bridle trees are awesome! I'd love something like to hang my tack on. This room is perfect. Loving the bench that you can sit on to change boots and shoes and then stow them underneath. Now I want a library ladder to reach my upper cabinets.
I just love your voice so much. You are so articulate without sounding contrived. I love seeing your videos and stories on Instagram. The way you stay true to your privacy is so genuine. Others do “privacy” in such a weird way - your style is so authentic and clearly true to you.
Yes eagerly awaiting! I love your style here and your kitchen. You don't stick to the typical all white look and actually give places interest and unique character! You are doing your home honor!
Love the room and the materials you chose to finish it off like wood, terracotta, brass it all looks so cohesive and in keeping with the style of the house and purpose of the room itself. I myself would only change wood colour and leave it natural with some sort of wax or lacquer but that my personal opinion and the dark wood looks great there anyway. Great job
I always love your renovation tours, because you put so much thought and effort in that you'd know it isn't just for this year, or a trend.. You know your style and what suits the house. Love the colours and storage! x
I agree with Fleur the history of the saddle brindles adds to the decor. If added decor is necessary on the empty space why look elsewhere? Save the funds & dip the remaining saddle brindles in the same paint & put some of them up. The mud room looks amazing!
I love learning about the history and age of your house! I live in Canada, and we just don't have much that is that old. I grew up in Vancouver, and especially there, almost everything is built from 1960 onwards, many things from 1990 onwards. I have just moved to the east coast though, and my house is circa 1917, which I think is so cool :)
Fleur it looks SO beautiful!! Love everything about it. I would consider adding an indoor/outdoor rug on the floor, nothing too big, possibly an oval shape. And over by the counter it would be so great to see little portraits of the doggies plus a few little hooks to hang their old collars!! XOX from Ireland
I love the different baskets in the top shelves, I think it's cute and adds character. The flooring is also amazing, I honestly thought you were gonna say it was original to the house cause it just has that vibe.
Really pretty it still looks rustic but in a modern way, have you thought about putting a floating shelf above the dogs treats and maybe some framed paintings or pictures of the house might look more homey
great video! would love to see a video, on where you go through your old reno projects and see what you would do like that again and what you would change!
Looks beautiful. One of my suggestions when you were asking for ideas was to paint the paneling, it turned out great. Love the floor, paint colour, library ladder and the bridle/saddle hooks, I'd put the rest of them up though. I also like that the baskets are an eclectic collection not matching.
Fleur: you’re the best Piggie Piglet: (struts through the door) I am the best 😂😂😂 The pet/boot room is sooo cute! I love your renos. I LOVE home Renos and decor but your renos are so dreamy 😍🥰
The room turned out great!!I am glad you don't follow pretty much every RUclipsr who has farmhouse same on same on same!!you really made good use of the space in the entire room, love the paint you chose as well..Love your style
Hi Fleur. Like your your redo on the dog room. So nice cottage vibes! Piggy is so cute laying there watching you. You did a good job Fleur 👏, the dog room looks good 👍 Joan Bates. You have a good eye on decorating!!
I could tell even from the thumbnail that these dogs have a nicer room than me 😅 beautiful design, and the room didn’t lose any of its character. I love the idea someone shared in the comments suggesting you decorate with small paintings of the dogs. A lot of people on Etsy take commissions like that.
I love that you kept the horse bridal hangers in the room. Speaks back to it’s history. Question: will your longer winter coats work on those hooks or will you have to raise a few? Also a basket for winter scarves and mittens might do well. Love the renovation and definitely the right call with the grout over the bricks. Makes them look super aged.
Hi Fleur, Great job on your boot/mud/dog room. Have you considered a wreath, perhaps a eucalyptus wreath for the empty corner wall? Eucalyptus offers a lot of great benefits, with one being an insect repellant.
Love these type of videos! As an interior design nerd I am happy to see when you change your knobs on doors or dressers. 😂 Question, did you work with a designer or do it with a normal contractor? I never tire of these types of renovations because it really is with the character of the home. Breathes new life into the space and it is gorgeous. 🥰
Love it! I think a nice washable rug to wipe boots on, some plants/decor on the mantle, and a small piece of artwork above the dog treats would really help pull it together
I would say add a rug (maybe a washable one since it’s primarily for dogs and muddy boots) and if you need more lights maybe some wall sconces/lanterns.
I love how it turned out, it looks so much brighter! I love the color you chose (French grey) on my screen it looks like a greenish - grey color, I don’t know if it looks like that irl but I think it’s gorgeous! :)
I think the thing in the ceiling next to the light is an old gas tap from when gas lighting was a thing! It would fit with the age of the house pretty accurately
This looks incredible. I love seeing your new rooms. Plus the floor looks like it’s going to really functional with wet muddy wellies. Brilliant job! X
I always love home decor videos Fleur! Especially makeover videos haha. The room really looks great! Really homey and usable. If you feel it's a bit bare, you could add one thing to the fireplace mantel. Not clutter, but something to make it less sparse. I LOVE the floor, I really thought you were going to say it was original to the house, it looks so good.
Love the renovation looks so warm and welcoming. I vote for hanging the rest of the bridles make it a collection and a nod to previous stables. Also while I love the brick fireplace I think stacked wood in there would finish it off nicely. Just my two cents.
The room looks wonderful Fleur, what a difference.........Love the floor tiles they are gorgeous......piggy looks a little lost laying on the floor all by his lonesome.........won’t that tile be really cold in the winter for them even through their beds ? ............stay well............Donna in Toronto
A picture or painting of the dogs in that space on the wall could be a lovely addition since it’s the dog room? :)
Love the room, you have such great vision & everything looks cohesive, old but clean & cottage vibes, I personally love the saddle/bridle holders as a nod to the history of the house, great job 👌🏻🤩🧡
My heart melted every time Rivers dinky little coats were in shot!
I love that you kept updating us throughout, way more interesting than just keeping it a surprise til the end IMO!
The room came out perfectly for your needs! The saddle things are terrific decor and represent the original use of the room. The library ladder is genius for the room too. Wonderful and smart use of the room.
Really gorgeous. Glad you are maintaining the historical integrity of your home throughout the renovation.
I love old houses. I can only imagine the stories your home has to tell!
I love this room. I have boot room envy. Love your quote "our lives are not super manicured"; very refreshing to hear.
I actually love the eclectic look of the different picnic baskets. Super cute, but still feels like a real home (which is obviously is!).
An old picture of the stables in the 1800’s and portraits of the dogs , both in matching frames possibly dark bronze to tie in with the rest of the room.
An excellent renovation!
Beautiful use of the space. I also love how you kept some of the historical charm. Great job! Love your style. 😍
The room was really gloomy and now it’s light and bright, and the best part is that it serves your needs! Excellent job De Force family 👏🏻
Love your taste when it comes to interiors, Fleur, so I was very happy to see this video.

What an amazing job.So much storage space and look nice and organized,Love the harvested veg👍😊
Could you do a video on the history of the house or some of its original features ? It sounds like its got a very interesting history x
I would add lower hooks so River can hang her coat herself. It looks very cosy and beautiful!
The room looks great! I like that it is brighter now and not so dark with the dark paneling.
Those antique saddle and bridle trees are awesome! I'd love something like to hang my tack on. This room is perfect. Loving the bench that you can sit on to change boots and shoes and then stow them underneath. Now I want a library ladder to reach my upper cabinets.
I can’t believe how good it turned out! You did an amazing job with this room!
I just love your voice so much. You are so articulate without sounding contrived. I love seeing your videos and stories on Instagram. The way you stay true to your privacy is so genuine. Others do “privacy” in such a weird way - your style is so authentic and clearly true to you.

Looks great! I had a mudroom in my last house and really miss it, a super handy room to have. Especially when you have dogs.
Love the saddle racks, such a nice part of the history of the house
Love the refurbishment 💗, the ladder makes me think of beauty and beast when Belle is looking for another book to read in the local bookshop
What I wouldn’t give for a room like that for my Spaniels! 😍 and love love those bridle hooks, such a nice touch

Room of dreams ✨ Thanks for showing us inside your cupboards, I live for this kind of content!
I really like what you've done, especially the library ladder.
You did such a great job with this room! The difference is night and day!
I just adore your home Reno vlogs Fleur. Perfect taste as always 💕
Love the reno on your mud/boot/dog room! Great choices! Thanks for sharing with us.
Love the room! It turned out so beautifully. A classic design that will still look amazing for decades to come! 😊
The room looks great - all that lovely storage! Lucky pets to have such a lovely room - it looks so much better than before
It's gorgeous! I love everything about the room- from the color, cabinets and storage. The ladder is also genius!
I love the different baskets in the top shelves, I think it's cute and adds character. The flooring is also amazing, I honestly thought you were gonna say it was original to the house cause it just has that vibe.

Put all of the saddle hooks back!!! They add so much character to the room
Isn't that them on the wall at 8:18?
Yess I would bring them all the way up to the ceiling
Those are very lucky dogs - what a pad! I think it all looks great as it is. Very jealous of the storage - always need more storage.
I could tell even from the thumbnail that these dogs have a nicer room than me 😅 beautiful design, and the room didn’t lose any of its character. I love the idea someone shared in the comments suggesting you decorate with small paintings of the dogs. A lot of people on Etsy take commissions like that.
Great redo. It looks fantastic. Your home is lovely. Thanks
Love what you have done with the room. It's basically radiating love!
Looks absolutely stunning Fleur, the dogs must love their new “Pad”. Thank you so much for sharing this video 🐶🐶🐶🐱🐹
I think Piglet looks especially proud, haha.
I love that you kept the horse bridal hangers in the room. Speaks back to it’s history. Question: will your longer winter coats work on those hooks or will you have to raise a few? Hi Fleur,
Great job on your boot/mud/dog room. Have you considered a wreath, perhaps a eucalyptus wreath for the empty corner wall? Eucalyptus offers a lot of great benefits, with one being an insect repellant.
It probably isn't worth the risk of having any toxic plants in the space the dogs sleep in.
She mentioned a decorator when she talked about the door 😉 I'm sure they used contractors for the actual handy work though.
@@wa6184 I think Fleur was referring to the painter who is coming soon to do another room 😊
@@wa6184 in the UK a decorator is a person who paints or wallpapers walls 😊
@@wa6184 I believe in England they use the term “decorator” for painters. I’m not sure if that also includes design!
I absolutely your “not alike baskets. This looks a real house home
I love the flooring, it looks like it could be original, very authentic.
This room is gorgeous and smart!
Floor is amazing!
Omg I love this! I want a dog room/mud room for my pups too. I love the dog food container idea. This is great!
Absolutely stunning! I love everything about it. I'd leave the fireplace as is.
Love this room, Fleur! Nicely done, the colors are perfect.
Dash and Albert throw rugs are perfection for dogs and wash like a dream.
Looks amazing, feel like you really realised the vision from your inspo pics!
Love how you style things! Either fashion wise or interior design wise!
I really like the hooks by the dog food. I hope you kept the others… They could be nice for hanging leashes for example
Well done! Fireplace looks perfect!
This looks incredible. I love seeing your new rooms. Plus the floor looks like it’s going to really functional with wet muddy wellies. Brilliant job! X
Love it!! I love the combination of the wall color with the tile color. Beautiful job!
Beautiful room. I especially love the floor treatment!
The doggy dream room - loooove your style.
I personally like that the baskets don't all match. It's seems more real. More personal to you guys.
It looks stunning. I would be happy to have that space as a sitting room. Thank you for the video!
Keep an eye out for a long print to put on that wall. A vintage one that has animals would be wonderful.
A place for everything and everything in its place! 🧘♀️
Love the renovation looks so warm and welcoming. I vote for hanging the rest of the bridles make it a collection and a nod to previous stables. Also while I love the brick fireplace I think stacked wood in there would finish it off nicely. Just my two cents.
Love how the room looks! 😍 I do however feel a bit sorry for the dogs in there and would add a rug and bigger/comfier dog beds for them. 😊
It looks incredible!!! The dogs are so lucky!!
Mike the Virgo wants the fireplace to look neater 😆. An umbrella stand in the corner by the door would be good.
Love this boot room so much, it’s a dream! Where is the artwork above the radiator from? And the large urn vase in the corner? Thanks x
So pretty, I love the saddle hooks 😁
love the flooring!
The room looks wonderful Fleur, what a difference.........Love the floor tiles they are gorgeous......piggy looks a little lost laying on the floor all by his lonesome.........won’t that tile be really cold in the winter for them even through their beds ? ............stay well............Donna in Toronto
Piggy was just chillin. ❤️💙
The light under the door means it must be very draughty for the dogs? And cold tile flooring?
Dog/Boot room looks fab! 😘
Love this fleur, great job. Love your style and ideas xxx
i love your house content, and this was a beautiful update! thank you xo can't wait for the next one
Do you have a video on the history of the house
It looks so lovely and cozy!
I bet you could sneak a fourth saddle hook up at the top to add some vertical dimension (Mike would have to agree it would add to the space! 😁)
I think it feels bare because it is missing a rug! Would make it feel more home-y
Yeees I was so looking forward to this after you mentioned it on a vlog a while back! 😍😍 so much inspo!
Your boot room is bigger then my living room 🤣🤣🤣 it’s beautiful!!
Ha ha that's what I was thinking!
