I use my paddle shifters on my 2015 JGC Limited in the winter to help maintain control and speed in snowy/icy conditions. Slowing that engine down without braking keeps one from slinding.
I’ve heard that about the older ones. I test drove a 2008 grand Cherokee srt8 and it did not drive to good it a lot of squeaks and rattles. But from what I heard these ones are built better.
Mr. G. Ryders, how are you? You have helped me select my cars over the last few years and I thank you. Your reviews have been spot-on, insightful and informative. Now I am thinking about the Tesla Model X. Been reading a lot and watching youtube videos. Your world view is what I use in my decision making process. Will you review the Model X? It is a SUV and extremely high tech. Currently I have the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee-High Altitude.Let me know your thoughts about doing a review on the 2019 Tesla Model X.
I need your help. I just bought a used 2018 Grand Cherokee limited. I love it , but my wife wants to trade it for 2019 Ford Edge Titanium ? What you think and 2nd question, what do you think about the stock stereo on the limited? I love it. Has great bass
Grand Cherokee is a better SUV. It drives a lot better it looks a lot better infotainment system is easier to use the sound system is much better. Fords sounds systems always have disappointed me they haven’t figured it out until like the newest explorer that just came out for 2020. The only thing the Ford edge has on the grand Cherokee is he gets much better gas mileage. I was in the Ford edge get to like 20 in city in about 28 on the highway. Do you know why your wife wants to trade it in for a Ford Edge?
I like your review, you kept it real. But I actually like the paddle shifters as another option to manual shifting if you want to. And I never ever had that problem turning the wheel and hitting the paddle shifters. However if I had, then I might feel like you about them
Is the hill descent control a true "low range?" My 2002 GC has 4x4 low range. Going down super steep ice/snow covered roads, my foot never touches the brake. The rigs coasts at 2-3 mph and I'm in complete control. These new "descent controls" tap the brakes. Just want to make sure this rig has LR.
I have a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. I love the vehicle and absolutely hate the stop/start technology. My friend told me that it's now on his Ford and I see the 2019 GMC/Chevy Silverado will also have it. I had a 2013 Toyota Avalon hybrid and it was seamless from electric to gas. 5 years later...... I have a new vehicle that has this terrible stop/start technology. It changes your driving habits and you will soon learn how often you will turn your car off and this thing auto resets. You will start taking your foot off the gas at intersections to make sure your vehicle doesn't turn off and you will then take your eyes off the road to see if you turned the dumb button on. I will either need to go European or back to Toyota as they mastered this. I can't tell you how much I hate this feature!
Great review brother. One of, if not the best if the best luxury SUV values on the market. It is kinda weird that the light clusters are not full LED, but on the opposite end of the spectrum, I myself am a fan of the chrome as I find it tastefully done. The Grand Cherokee keeps getting better
Great review. That body roll is real though. I came from a 2016 with regular suspension into a 2017 with air suspension and really it doesn't seem make that big of a difference, you still get a significant amount of bounce and roll. It is what it is, it's a SUV and I don't expect it to corner like a lowered vehicle. Being able to drop the height slightly on the air suspension does help add some confidence in the corners though.
Thank you. I feel like the next-gen Grand Cherokee they need to fix that roll and bounce. When I drove the Trailhawk I felt the air suspension helped a lot, but I drove it around in the sports mode aero mode for most of the time I drove it.
G Ryders They're supposed to be switching to the alpha romeo platform with the next gen. Hoping they will work that out as well but I do love the current body style. Hopefully they don't follow suit like the grand commander they've released in china. I really dislike the styling.
I hope so too. I didn't know there was a grand commander I just looked it up and I think we will get that car eventually. But like you said I hope the Grand Cherokee doesn't turn into that. Back to that grand commander thing, it looks like a Chevy Traverse and a Chrysler Pacifica had a Baby.
Not gunna lie this is pretty nice IMO it’s not as good as say price competitors from luxury brands such as Mercedes BMW and Audi but for a Jeep, very nice
He means the limited does not have the paddle shifters; he is not talking or riding in a trailhawk; He is riding in a Grand Cherokee LIMITED!!! I am getting a limited edition they are the start of getting the high end editions
New sub here. Great video. I currently have a 17 Grand Cherokee 75th anniversary edition. I’m considering trading it in for a 18 Toyota Highlander but can’t decide.
Thank you big g just bought a 2018.. also I'd like to introduce you to Dr. Berg. Look him up on RUclips. He changed my life with his knowledge of keto and intermittent fasting. Please check him out. You will be blessed. Love ya brother God bless
this man is grindin, didnt even wait for the rain to stop to do the video! coo
Real nice review big respect for you, raining and you still doing your thing 👍👍

Yes that makes since. With the new transmission shifter there is also a manual mode now.
Finally an honest review, I got the exact same car and I agree with everything he said!
Roll mitigation - add bilstein shocks on te rear, add srt8 sway bar and links on the rear. Vehicle will corner very well even in rain.
This is the best review of the Jeep Grand Cherokee I have seen
I stumbled on your video bc I doing my research to buy. thank you for the review buddy.
Thanks for checking out the video.
G Ryders your welcome
Which one did you buy? I'm so confused as to which SUV to buy now..
Love the video dude! Looking into buying and this is helping
I had a 2005 grand Cherokee and I loved it but when it started falling apart and needed repairs nobody seems to fix it. But that hemi was so cool
I’ve heard that about the older ones. I test drove a 2008 grand Cherokee srt8 and it did not drive to good it a lot of squeaks and rattles. But from what I heard these ones are built better.
have to disagree with you. Not everyone likes the blackout rims, door handles, emblems, etc. Some of us still like the chrome / polished aluminum look.
It has more power because it has 24 not 6 valves like I currently have; I hope to get my 2018 Jeep grand Cherokee limited soon
i sold my 1998 4.0 limited still really good riding ...2018 look real muscle as a truck from inside Front

You are very right the grand Cherokee is the best bang for the buck when comes to luxury SUVs. A lot of people don't see them that way but should.
Does anyone know at how many miles I should change my transmission oil for a 2018 Jeep GC Limited 4x4? Also for the transfer case oil?

I'm thinking about buying a 2018 as well. As a fellow big guy, how is the space in the driver cockpit? cramped or very spacious?
It’s very spacious! It’s one of the most comfortable in this class!
Excellent review thank you
Does the led running lights strip come standard on the limited???
Not it does not you have to get the luxury group 2 package to get them on a limited.
Great review Sir. How do you think it will perform in the snow?
is buying a jeep cherokee limited 4x4 with 26,000 miles at $28,999 plus taxes a good deal?
Yea that’s pretty good!
Way to go, G-Ryder! Love the review. Did you review the Trailhawk yet?
Good review thanks from the UK
Thanks!
Thanks for the good review sir
Not gunna lie this is pretty nice IMO it’s not as good as say price competitors from luxury brands such as Mercedes BMW and Audi but for a Jeep, very nice
This one is also a mid-range model with a few options. But you are correct its very nice and the interior just gets better from this model.
your review was very raw but ill tell ya what It was good tho
2018 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has paddle shifters!

Honestly......
Great review! New sub..
Great review, I live in southern Oregon 🤙
New sub here. Great video. I currently have a 17 Grand Cherokee 75th anniversary edition. I’m considering trading it in for a 18 Toyota Highlander but can’t decide.
If you need more seats, get a Dodge Durango!
Sick!
Those jeeps are lemons!!! I am trading my 15 in. Too many problems engine stalling, electrical problems etc
I'm 6'8 will I fit with my height?
Absolutely you will. This is one of the most comfortable SUVs for big and tall people that's is not a Tahoe or expedition.
Ok, thank you very much for getting to my comment so quickly. : )
No problem!
But... honestly.
How is he controlling the steering wheel? With his knees?
Cheap parts over charging
18 in the city? I'm out.
"see what its looking like in here... stop"
Thank you big g just bought a 2018.. also I'd like to introduce you to Dr. Berg. Look him up on RUclips. He changed my life with his knowledge of keto and intermittent fasting. Please check him out. You will be blessed. Love ya brother God bless
