Great Video Presentation! After watching several of your video presentations, I have become a real fan of the GlockStore. The manner in which you present each video is very professional, yet I also feel your personal passion for providing valuable information and instruction to your viewers. Thank you for your service to us newbie Glock owners and keep up the great job.
the ejector is in the same spot in relation to barrel centerline on the 9 or 40 cal. the 9 and 40 both use small pistol primers, so if the ejector could hit the primer on the 40 it could also hit on the 9.
Lenny, if you haven't already, you should film some safety videos to be used in classes. You have the perfect voice for it and you explain everything you're doing so well. As someone who will potentially be teaching classes for law enforcement next year (if everything goes according to plan), I would put more trust in you covering everything important than I would in myself.
One of the best instructors I've learned information from said a very beneficial statement at the beginning of his first class (a state-certified PPO program if it matters): No one person knows absolutely everything we're about to talk about; I can learn something from everyone in the room and vice versa. That said, when I go to an instructor for certification, the last thing I want to hear is the instructor having doubts about his abilities. I say this to you with respect mind you, but knowledge is an accumulation of time and effort. In your case, a LEO can and probably will reference your class when he/she has to testify about their actions at some point, and that has some potentially severe repercussions for all involved. If you're having doubts when teaching others how and what to do-especially in a legally binding manner-perhaps a moment of reflection is in order.
When it comes to legality, I have no doubts. My doubts are more about how to defend oneself when legally able to and a comprehensive safety talk. I've taken a few defensive/combative handgun courses and there always seems to be some disagreement between instructors, although that is bound to happen and isn't something that can really be helped. What I think Lenny would be perfect for is a firearms safety course for rookie LEOs who have little firearms experience. That being said, honestly anyone who sees this and can come up with a list of everything that would need to be discussed could help. (Also, I just really like Lenny's voice and would like to have his expertise to back me up in any class I teach)
000Bob000jones000 I can't argue with a Lenny-based video program. Beyond the logistics of that and before I get to my recommendations, what state and capacity are you teaching these perspective courses? (Academy or other?) In Texas, beyond the base academy if you are hired by an agency, there are TCLEOSE-certified institutions that one can attend similar to EMT certifications where they teach the gamut from all the bookwork to range time; essentially everything to be an LEO with certificate.
I'd be teaching in Illinois, post-academy (probably immediately post-academy). I'm currently working on USAS and NRA certifications and plan to be teaching courses for LEOs who want to better their shooting abilities.
Just a dumb question. Can i have a glock 17 and just one 34 slide to switch between them? keep the 17 slide daily and use the 34 slide for competitions?
Explaining that the lower of a Glock is considered a gun is quite helpful, the fact that my Gen 2 G19 can benefit from an update to Gen 3 via a Polymer 80 conversion is fantastic!
Legend has it, Lenny once arm wrestled Gaston Glock. The extreme strength of both competitors caused the air between their palms to compress into a black hole. That black hole now sits in the center of the Milky Way galaxy.
Lenny, we've been watching you for a long time, now. We love your store(s) and all its offerings. And the info and experience you have to share and your enthusiasm in doing so. We see your passion for the sport as genuine and that you're not just "out for a buck." I'm sure that's been the driving force behind your success. I've found this presentation about frames and their relationship to/with each other to be very helpful and, especially so to those who might not be at the same level as some others in the Glock "world." Glock doesn't exactly make it easy, with all of the various model numbers and how they interchange. This simplifies things, a lot. But... In the same respect for those people just figuring it all out, there's something I think needs calling out. To say the "preferred method" (indicating there may be other differences involved) of converting the 17 to a 22 is to replace the *entire* trigger housing just to facilitate exchanging the shell ejector, makes no sense. Just dollars, for whomever sells the housing. Dollars which don't *need* to be spent and especially in the face of the cost of a new slide and barrel, plus "X" no. of magazines. Every dollar counts for a lot of people in light of this "fiscal fiasco" we're all being forced to navigate right now. 😀 If there's some valid reason, some other difference between the housing assys of which I'm not aware then, please... Someone let me know and I'll graciously acquiesce. 😀 To the best of my knowledge the only difference *is* the ejector, itself. Also, you should do the subject justice by giving all of the info since you're currently in the middle of disseminating information about just that... If the housing is in the frame, yes. A short, needle nose plier works fine. Securely grasp/support the frame and pull firmly. The other, "preferred method," should the housing already be out of the frame, is to use a small punch and simply push the ejector out from the rear and install the desired ejector. Either way, it's only a 30 sec. swap and there's no need to pay for a whole new housing. 😉 If it seems like I'm "over reacting," apologies. I'm just trying to give you credit when due (which is 98.5% of the time) and call BS when necessary. We still love ya in this house, Buddy.

I´m from Austria and here the lower is just a part and you can buy it without register. Only pressurized parts need to be registered. So if you use a match barrel, you register it as accessory. And you can register two accessories for each gun. A complete upper is also considered one accessory.
Primer is located in the exact same position on a 40 as it is a 9mm both use small pistol located in the center on the round. If you're worried about the ejector hitting the primer on a 40....you should worry about it hitting the primer on a 9mm to.

Only time you would have a live round cycling backwards towards the ejector is if you unload the gun manually which would not render enough momentum to ignite a primer, i don't see any way a live 40.sw round could be set of out of battery by a 17 frame. However it might case some ejection issues, i can't comment on that, but it will not fire out of battery. Just a comment on the info given at 9:45.
Does anyone know what would happen if you put a smaller slide on the frame. Like let’s say a 19x slide on a 17 frame. Would it function and would it cause any issues?
You need to make a GS frame for the Glock 20 and 21 please. Don’t forget about us 10mm and 45cal guys. 9mm may be good for plinking or conceal/ carry, but I prefer some serious stopping power for home defense.
How do you do it on a Glock 19 gen5 with ONLY the spring out? I did it on accident(Safely cleaning and looking at the mechanics. The tiny 2 spots to be held down... slide back a tad. Then slide off the front. release buttons(worst thing about Glocks I have). They rest ON THE SPRING. Leaving the chamber stuck and useless lol. No worky on easy mode, tried your stuff I'll try the HARDER one. This could be could though. Have some ones weapon and wanna secure it safe. Slide release. Throw out the spring. Even if a bullet maybe one bullet inaccurate cause you now have a free floating chamber. NVM got it. Set it up fucked up again. Forgot it lol. It requires you to get the barrel out VERY far... There's a baby lock I'm missing. Damn rubrics cube.
I have Glock 17 gen 5 and am considering purchasing a Glock 45 gen 5 can I use the same magazines for both pistols, my concern is that I am only allowed to process 10 - round magazines when I live, so this will work or no
I have a trigger kit for .357sig on my G26 installed, which includes .357sig (or .40S&W) ejector, of course... So far, I think it can affect on angle at which spent case will be ejected from the pistol, that's all it may affect. I don't think it can engage a primer in any way, it is just physically impossible...
In South Africa the barrel is registered as it is the part that can be identified via ballistics testing. When replacing a barrel on a hunting rifle a full new license is required. All other parts can be exchanged without permission or paperwork. Would have loved to swap out parts on the G19 but it is near impossible with the differences in regulations.
Quick question. I currently use the .40 to 9mm barrel from your site on my glock 27 with glock 26 mag. But happen to come across a 26 frame. Can I use the glock 27 upper with your .40 to 9mm barrel on a glock 26 frame.
I found a Glock 17 Gen 2 for $278. It looks in great shape I’m just thinking there is something wrong with it at my local pawnshop? What’s the recall I heard about and did I miss out on a great deal ??
Do not own a Gen 5 But a Ge2-3--4 Clock 35-23-27-Can easily become a 9mm with a Conversion Barrell the 40's all you need is 9mm mag and conversion barrel will Shoot 40 cal 9mm and 357 sig the 357 sig will fit in a 40 mag and 40 mags and 9mm mags One Gin will shoot Three calibers ? I shot a Glock 36 with a 9mm conversion barrel for years I bought every weight guide Rod Spring and was shooting 88 gr and smaller with 10 lb spring You can Fine Tune any round ?
Good video as always. I'm not a Glock guy. However, I do own a G 22. I'm an instructor & a lot of my students shoot Glocks & have questions. Your videos contain helpful information
What about the 45 GAP guns? Is the 37 the same frame as a 17 or 22? I know that the 37 slide is wider, at least it is on the gen 3 37 that I own. But I have read that the frame is the same.
You can turn the 37 into a .40 with a ati interchangeable barrel chambered in .40 & use the all Glock .40 magazines because the g37 shares the same Dimensions as the 17,22,31
Lenny -- I live in san Diego. My hand likes the full frame grip on the 17... and my eye likes the 4.01" barrel of the 19. Can I put this combination together, without any problem?
People think CA is the most anti-gun state. People always fail to mention NY and the horrible attached NYC. I was actually able to walk into a gun shop in CA and buy a pistol. That's unheard of in NYC where I'm from.
I have a question since I’m just now seeing this and it’s 2022. Can you take a Glock 19 gen 3 upper, and put that in a Glock 17 gen 3 frame? Basically turning it into a Glock 45?
I’m building a g23 but I can’t find a slide parts kit anywhere so I was wondering if I can use a g19 slide parts kit on my g23 or would that be dangerous or not function properly
I recently acquired a PF940 From a woman whose husband had passed away before he had a chance to assemble it. In the kit was the Jig and the 5/64th Milling Bit so that the rear rail guides can be put in. The kit didn't have the End Mill bit. There was also no instruction sheet or parts list for the rest of the parts for the lower receiver or what caliber it is. Does the PF 940 on the cover of the box mean that it can be either a 9mm or 40 cal. Jerry Dday
So Lenny I have a question if I just choose to change out the barrel on my 40 caliber Glock 22 to convert it to fire 9 mm rounds do I have to also as you indicated change the extractor in this particular case or is it only Paramont to switching the uppers and lowers please let me know I’d love an answer it’s important I don’t want my gun to blow up in my hands
Lenny I have a Glock 22 with a 9mm conversion barrel I also have a Glock 17 9mm all stock . Can I use the Glock 22 .40cal magazines with the 9mm conversion . The 9mm rounds load into the 22 .40cal magazines and appear like they would work . Do I need to use the Model 17 magazines or will the Model 22 magazines cycle and run with 9mm ammo . Thank you Al
noob question, but can you sell a non-roster gun in California by sending it to the FFL and the buyer picking it up after its process or would it only be a gen 3 Glock in California?
Lenny. I have a Glock 35 and a bunch of Glock 17. They are all gen 3, can the frames be switched around even tho the locking block for the 17 and 35 are different? Thanks
Is there a smaller narrower frame for the .40cal 23s? I have a smaller hand, and the frame is too wide. Wondering if Glock made narrower frames that'll compensate the .40.
Do you have to change the ejector and extractor if you change to a conversion barrel like glock 22 to 9mm conversion barrel can I keep it the same except for magazine? I tried it fired great even with the 40 magazine which I will change to a 9mm magazine.
Leads to my question...I have a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion bbl...should I have a 9mm extractor, 9mm recoil spring and change my trigger housing...have there been any reports of prematue ignition of 9mm rounds with a .40 cal extractor??? I have a G35...
Mohammed Cohen I would Recommend setting the gun up extractor and ejector as a 9 mm.It might be fun to play with but I wouldn’t put my life on the line without proper 9 mm parts.
So I got a question I’m trying to take a Glock 23 40 cal And use a Glock 45 9mm frame By switching the slides what do I need to get in order for that to work properly
Yout cleared up a ton of questions I had! Thank you so much!!! (liked/subscribed (also,at first glance kind of look like Tim Allen on steroids 😁👍🏻 Thanks again!
Can you guys develop and beaver tail grip adapter for a gen3 g20-21? I have the 21 SF that I bought to mitigate slide bite. It didn't work. The grip adapters do.
So, G22 is a full size that uses .40 ejector on a G17 frame. Simply just switching to 9mm ejector it can turn into a G17. Glocks are the best hands down. I remember when I was a kid and seen a glock for1st time, and as a kid we love anything plastic because we play with plastic toy guns. I remember being so fascinated thinking there's a toy gun that can shoot LOL😁 Now, I have a question 7 years late. What is the difference between gen 3 and 4 G17 frame? I hear starting 4 it was changed unlike gen 1-3 which made these guns even more customizable. 1 more question. When did the frame being considered a gun start? before glock introduced the poly frame or after? or has this just been the law since beginning? Thanks guys!
His voice reminds me of either a infomercial star or possibly a car salesman. Regardless, he's great at explaining everything that is Glock.

@@christianmiranda23 so what does that mean that they are not on the list? you cant buy them?
Ryan Green yep
do you expect rational thought at that level, IN THAT STATE? I think not
Don’t miss Cali. I do however miss you guys.
Wonderful speaker and explainer. Thank you.
isn't a 14th Amendment violation to be allowed to sell to law enforcement but prohibited from selling to non-LE?
right. thats why cops are abusers. because they get away with murder and assault
Congrats on the lasik, I just got mine and love it!
can you build a G34 on a G17 frame? I have gen3 17 but want to get a 34. Can I just get the 34 upper?
yes as long as you get a gen 3 34 slide there will be no issues
Can I put a Gen 3 aftermarket slide on a Glock factory 17 frame?
Good video as always. I'm not a Glock guy. However, I do own a G 22. I'm an instructor & a lot of my students shoot Glocks & have questions. Your videos contain helpful information
Will a gen2 upper fit on a gen3 lower?
Is there any difference in the frame internals? Like if you wanted to build a 30 could you use the internal parts from a 21?
Glock store in the most anti gun state. Oh the irony
Come pick up some ten round mags and a non approved handgun?
Yeah, you would think that they would move out of Commie-fornia.
+Mike Marion oh the irony..... you nailed it on the heax
head*
People think CA is the most anti-gun state. People always fail to mention NY and the horrible attached NYC. I was actually able to walk into a gun shop in CA and buy a pistol. That's unheard of in NYC where I'm from.
Hi I New, Lenny congrats for the channel, I would like to know if I can use the glock 17 frame with a .380 cal. ?
Lenny, You are the Coolest Glock Guy EVER...!!!
ok if I build a glock 22 which slide can I use if I can't find a 22 slide to do a 40.9mm.357 sig conversion ?
Hi great vid.. thnkz I want build a sub compact 357 ..which size slide would i use.? Thnkz
Jerry Dday
I bought a glock 34 gen 5. Will the 17 slide fit the frame on a 34?
Great video Lenny!
Lenny what about the springs of 9 mil line up?Like the recoil springs, trigger unit and extractors are they all the same?
So Lenny I have a question if I just choose to change out the barrel on my 40 caliber Glock 22 to convert it to fire 9 mm rounds do I have to also as you indicated change the extractor in this particular case or is it only Paramont to switching the uppers and lowers please let me know I’d love an answer it’s important I don’t want my gun to blow up in my hands
The exact info I was looking for. Thanks
Or. Could i marry/ pair the G36 upper and Lpk. On a subcompact frame like 26-27. And have magazine fit and function etc?
Thank you for sharing this. Many years ago I always wondered why my glock had a bend ejector. I thought I had damaged it somehow.
What glock do you recommend for small handed shooters and it’s not the 19 because my daughter can’t shoot it with out failures because of grip size
How do u put a light or Lazer on the rail without covering the number ????
Thanks
How does he get the upper to slide off so smoothly? My 19 is fairly new and stubborn to slide off. I have to sweet talk it first
Is there a smaller narrower frame for the .40cal 23s? I have a smaller hand, and the frame is too wide. Wondering if Glock made narrower frames that'll compensate the .40.
Glock store. Could i marry / pair a G36 upper with a G43 frame? If i use the 36 lpk. ? 🤔🤔🤷🏼♂️🙏🏻. Let me know what you think 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Do you have to change the ejector and extractor if you change to a conversion barrel like glock 22 to 9mm conversion barrel can I keep it the same except for magazine? I tried it fired great even with the 40 magazine which I will change to a 9mm magazine.
You sir got a voice for radio
I had a question would a Glock 19 slide work on a 17 frame with a compensator?
The bent ejector will not strike the primer of the 40 Cal. Both the 40 and the 9 have the primer in the same spot, they are center-fire. Derp!
You didn't show or mention the 19 and 23. Are they the same as well?
Does the interchangeability apply to the compact glocks (19,23) to be specific.
Will my Glock 27 slide fire & function on my 26 frame safely? Please help
Question: Will a 34 fit in my 22 Blackhawk holster?
I have a gen4 g27 can I just buy @ drop in a 9mm barrel ( same length , of course ) for it to function as a 9mm ?
Leads to my question...I have a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion bbl...should I have a 9mm extractor, 9mm recoil spring and change my trigger housing...have there been any reports of prematue ignition of 9mm rounds with a .40 cal extractor??? I have a G35...
Mohammed Cohen I would Recommend setting the gun up extractor and ejector as a 9 mm.It might be fun to play with but I wouldn’t put my life on the line without proper 9 mm parts.
Lenny is a buffed up old Gipper. Dang.
So I got a question I’m trying to take a Glock 23 40 cal And use a Glock 45 9mm frame By switching the slides what do I need to get in order for that to work properly
I’m trying to do the same thing you have to change the ambidextrous slide lock to a gen 4 and switch the cover plate to a gen 5

great video and info.
If you're always supposed to have the serial number visible then how can you get away with a weapon mounted light or anything on the rail?
just curious, can you cut the polymer 80 frame to fit a g26 slide?
Dumb question from a Glock noob, can a Gen4 upper work properly mated to a Gen3 frame? Thanks for your help and support.
Never quite got the frame as the gun. On its own it cant fire a bullet, but the barrel, slide, and spring can still fire a round without the frame.
i know right, stupid ass law makers. You're right, the lower is harmless, but the upper could technically fire a round lol
RowdyRides The frame holds everything together and gives it the ease of shooting and repeatability though.
england considers the pressure bearing parts as the "firearm" you can have a reciever but not a barrel or bolt.
great information thanks Lenny
Does the factory frame, stripped sku: 6265 have a serial number? Can I get it finished in FDE or ODG before sent to me? BTW, good videos.
Will a Glock 17 lower fit with a Glock 22 upper and shoot fine
Yout cleared up a ton of questions I had! Thank you so much!!! (liked/subscribed
(also,at first glance kind of look like
Tim Allen on steroids 😁👍🏻
Thanks again!
Hey lenny, thanks for answering my question before i even asked
Awesome video Sir
Are the frames the same on certain years for the G17 & G20/21?
Thanks for another great educating video.....
