Could you please let us know (perhaps in the video details) what material you ended up using (ABS?), how much it ran you, and how it's holding up. My bumper scrapes when entering steep driveways and on the curbs at the track and i'd be afraid of the DIY splitter cracking.

Great looking work. A tip when cutting plastics is masking tape over the cut line. When you're drilling through metal, dab the tip of the bit in Vaseline and it goes through like butter.
