    Another way is to hold the Bluetooth button and the mode button at the same time till the red light turns off then turn on your headset using the power button and they should go back to normal. It took me a couple tries but it worked

      Mine broke previously so I took it to Best Buy and refunded it for free then bought a new one..... that was four weeks ago it broke again 😭 WHAT AM I DOING!?!?!

    Thanks for posting this man. This worked for my Dr. Disrespect limited edition headset. This headset has been real frustrating at times. I have had the solid unresponsive red LED issue a few times and now this bricked unresponsive issue. Glad that at least Turtle Beach has made a recovery tool that is easy to use. When the headset works, it is a great experience. Just a lot minor issues like this that get annoying.

      @@hanif107 Have you tried another USB C cable? I'm sure any USB Type C USB 3.0 cable should work. I don't believe there's anything special about the cable that came with it.

    What a legend, saved me from going in for a refund.
    Just FYI, mine died after leaving in charge in rest mode on series x. Few others have mentioned the same, se best to avoid rest mode charging.

    After a very frustrating day of trying to figure out why it wouldnt work, this video saved my life! Cant thank this dude enough. The file isnt a virus and helped saved my headphones.

    So glad I’ve found this. I put mine on charge and the next day they wouldn’t turn on. I used the audio hub recovery and it brought them back to life but now the sound has really low volume and they won’t connect to Audio hub any more so I can’t customise any of the buttons. They worked flawlessly for a year and a half and were fine one night but battery low so I left them on a 3 hour charge. I hope this works as the headset is fantastic sounding. It’s the best headset I’ve owned in my opinion. I have the PS and Xbox versions.

    I’ve had 3 pairs brick.. I was able to get replacements for the first 2 but they wouldn’t replace this last set so I can’t wait to get home and try this!!! They are a really awesome headset when they work!!!

    This is my second time having to do this with this headset. Mine bricked most recently because I had them charging with PS5 in rest mode, and we had a power outage. From now on I think no charging in rest mode anymore.

    Nice video! I've gone through three pair of there 700 Gen 2. The first pair broke. The second pair, as you described, "bricked" . As of this writing, the headphones have "bricked" themselves five times!!!! One must ask WHY??? A $150 product, IMO, be able to load software. Now, the real kicker is the damn recovery tool ONLY works on a PC. Turtle Beach TOTALLY disrespected Mac users, like me! Shame in TB for NOT considering ALL platforms.

    Cheers man, you just saved me a bunch of money. Was literally online to find a new pair and thougt I'd try and find a fix one last time...then found your video. AJ
    P.S I think it was running my battery down too low and not charging high enough, then running it down again that may have been the cause of mine bricking.

    Wow ... I thought my headset was done !!! But as soon as I watched this video then downloaded the app/program ran it once and bam! I was back in the game =) I feel bad for all the people who haven't seen this video, I was damn near gonna throw mine on the ground since I thought they were done . Glad I tried to find a fix .
    (My headset wouldn't do anything. no lights , wouldn't accept a charge)

    I have 2 that did this and I was able to get them to both turn back on using your instructions BUT when they connect to the devices all you can hear is crackling verse any noise, any suggestions on this?

    Did this and the recovery ran, only took about 10 seconds then it said finished but still unresponsive afterward and in the hub when plugged both into the pc. Uploaded images to turtle beach support of both my set’s S/Ns and will update. I did see when the tool was running it said error a lot in the script. No dice over here. 2 sets bricked within a week and Ive had these for about 6 months both pairs.

      2nd update: now whenever I power on my full volume is quiet then I have to power off and power back on again to get full volume, this applies to both headsets being used on a ps5. I’ve switched to Astro a40 work much better Turtle beach sounds like trash now comparatively. Even though they’re decent the a40 is better. A40 is loud in the room though so if there’s anybody in the room with you while you’re gaming they will hear it and the party chat fairly clearly.

    I hate that this didn’t work, even tried a hard reset. No lights on ever, I was using it and I turned it off, then come back an hour later and it’s done for.

    I can't believe this worked... I use this most days and tonight it suddenly said "F you I'm not going to power on or show a light when you plug my charging cable in" and I thought it was done for. This is a year old video so theres no stand alone recovery tool anymore, I think the recovery tool itself is baked into the audio hub app now, but it worked just the same! For anyone who had the same problem definitely give this a shot. Got it up and running in about 3-4 minutes. Thanks a ton @toyandtechreview

    Worked! I had same exact issue. S700 Gen 2. Would not turn on. Would not charge. No light. Plugged in to PC and downloaded the Turtle Beach app, but app could not detect the headphones. So I downloaded this recovery tool and let it run through the command prompts and it suddenly the red light came on, on the headphones and I got a pop up notification to unplug and restart my headset. Everything worked. So I went back to the Turtle Beach app to try and update the firmware. But the firmware was up to date. So this was not a firmware issue I guess, but something different. Thanks for making this video man!

    Thanks so much for your video, I've got mine working again! Mine stopped working and had the same problem, after doing this I had to update the firmware through the audio hub because I got them to pair but all I could hear was a popping noise, once I updated the firmware they worked normally. Thanks again 👍

    I live in the boonies and don't have a computer, it's nuts that you need a computer to fix a damn headset. It's been the worst pair I've ever owned. Ive bought three from the store and each one didn't work out the box, then turtle Beach sent me one and all it has is bugs and always need maintenance from the computer.the 500s we're my favorite but foursome reason with better technology come a lesser product

    WOW!!!!! I was ready to throw them away I have only used them about 3 times, thank you so much for the information. I have both the Xbox and PlayStation. I thnik it happens when you let them discharge. It has never happened to the Xbox ones I use them all the time, I hardly use the Plastation ones.

    Ok let me say this, when these head phones stop charging and the light want come on its only one way to fix them. The way the guy just described in the video. I really didn't think it was gonna work but it did, im really surprised. I just watched my computer rewrite a whole program to my head phones. The guy in this video is 100% right

    Thanks! I was trying to connect the Bluetooth and they bricked. In all honesty they're trash headsets . Mine just open up when you pick the up. The sound is low. I came from 700 gen 1 and will change to another headset when these die out. Thanks again.

    Slight issue with mine is that, I was just gaming and then ps4 randomly decides to Disconnect them but they were still With blue light. It turns out that The headset is not the issue it’s actually the USB stick, for some reason every time I plug it in it won’t pick it up Or anything 🤷🏻‍♂️tried On console Even my Pc Won’t pick it up. Not sure what to do

    There is an update for Gen 2 MAX PS! If your device does not charge or something connected to pc and update firmware and it would be fixed!

    Just tried unscrewing the housing and the screws don’t come out except for two of them, I maybe thought that the battery was unplugged (still do). Do you know anything that could help?

    Thank you! i really like these headphones and the other night they were just bricked, i was kind mad but then at the time glad i got the best buy insurance on them, was just going to get them replaced but then i found this and all is well. these are 100 tomes better than the old stealth 700's!

    I've had this issue before and this video has helped me repaired my headset many times so thank you for that! But today the headset didn't turn on so I assumed it was the same issue, I ran the recovery tool as I assume it would just work but it has not my Turtle Beach 700 Gen 2 is not turning on. I ran the recovery tool 4 times and none of them has fixed the issue, would yourself or any recommend what to do next or have any other solutions? Any help would be greatly appreciated (I'm on PS5 and I've roughly had this headset for over a year now). Thank you! (((!!! issue is fixed now !!!)))
