    ▷ ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Kristen, I am 22 years old, from Sacramento CA, and I am graduating in the Spring with my BA in Psychology. I created this channel for three reasons that are very close to my heart. One, to help others be able to tell their stories and be advocates for mental health, to give recovery tips and tricks to help others find the help they need, and to spread awareness for mental health issues to fight the stigma surrounding it. The more we talk about mental illness the more normalized it will be in our society and the more people will not be ashamed to get help!

SO SORRY! The video should be all fixed now :) What are your thoughts on Katy Perry? Do you think she should have streamed a therapy session?

LikeKristen No.. In my opinion, your issues should be between you and whoever it may concern. I don't really think it's appropriate that she showed it to the world. But at the same time, I think she did it for the right reasons. For that I must make an exception...

I feel like celebrities should talk more about mental health because so many see famous people as perfect. they have a lot of money, they have fans, they get to do things that they love but many don't realize that they are still human. they aren't perfect, they have their struggles and problems. so applauds to Katy.

I think it's a good thing. A lot of people are scared to try therapy and this gives them an opportunity to see what it's like.

I watched the stream yesterday, it was very emotional, she really talked onpenly about struggles with her family, the fact that with the figure of Katy Perry she tries to gain back her childhood, she can dance and play and she couldnt do that as a child because her parents were rigid, they had different views. That was really interesting, also I liked that in the end of the stream she said something like "I'm also Katy Perry, she's not my enemy, we can cohexist". The stream changed my ideas about Katy Perry, sometimes I look at celebs and think they are perfect, or that they are vain and think about fame and success...but they are not above us, they are people like us, with same emotions and struggles. It's important to normalize celebrities and don't see them as flawless beings. In fact many celebrities went to therapy. This stream can show that therapy is important and we shouldn't feel ashamed to go in there. Therapy is not something to be feared, it can bring anxiety and it's difficult to talk about past experiences, but Katy said that she changed a lot and she became better because of therapy!

This is unrelated to Katy Perry as I can't think of something to say so I'm gonna keep my mouth closed, but would you consider making a video about misconceptions about autistics or any sort of one about autistics really because we really need to stop the stigma with autistics too, it's not the same as mental health awareness because it's more about acceptance, but I would love to see a video about this!! xxx

I think that it's great that she did that because she's opening up about her struggles and letting people know that she's human as well as you and I

I think it is okay for Katy Perry to show this because it may help people who look up to her that she also has the bad times and that its okay to speak up about it💜
Sometimes its hard to think that celebrities have hard times, but it happens and is happening, we are all human and thats what we need to understand🌈 amazing video these help me alot thanks Xx😁
