Thanks for putting up the video. I hadn't been excited for a wah in years and now I find myself drooling over this guy. Looks super nice, too.

It's a cool pedal, for me it's pretty dark especially when using a neck pickup. When I use my les paul ( w/ duncan antiquities) on the neck the pedal makes the pickup lose all definition. The clean blend is the pedals saving grace, it adds sparkle and character which you can tweak inside the pedal. It has a medium amount of gain.
I've not messed with all the tonal knobs inside the pedal. It's really one of those you have to work into your rig and really tweak and play with to get it right.

They are really different in person, the 80s Crybaby really kills though.

Late to the convo, but IMO the Bonamassa wah's guts are pretty impressive too. In any case, awesome demo!

Good vid. Is that a Pork loin right there? You should show that thing in action!

It's pretty cool! I actually went in and rolled the pot up a little bit to brighten it up.

The CAE had a yellow or red Fasel inductor, the yellow one just sounded fantastic, it wasn't as bassy as I like but it just had a terrific sweep. You can open it up and adjust the Q and gain which is nice. It has the built in boost but I didn't like that with my Dr Z at all. They are just very nice wahs IMO
The bonamassa is thick, Never heard of a Hagen, but if you can find the Teese wahs give some of them a go.

I would def recommend trying one first, I have a love hate relationship with every wah I've ever had haha, Also check out the MXR CAE wah, it's a Monster! I had one before the bonamassa and while I really dig the bonamassa wah I wish I'd kept the CAE wah longer it was super versatile.

what was it that you liked most of that cae wah? I'm saving up for a Hagen and would like a wah that's just as thick in tone.

hi zacharybroyles! i'm really interested in the Pork Loin, mostly because of its 'Clean Blend' function, to give more sparkle with open chords and rhythm stuff, but it sounds sometimes dark and low gain for me, could you give me some info about it? thanks ;)

I meant a Diezel Hagen and for sure. I've still got plenty to save up so I can be patient with my choices. lol. Thanks again!!!
