I keep in the refrigerator a half gallon glass with ginger bugs, grapes and limes... everyday I drink a glass from it and I replenish with water and 1 small spoon of sugar... once a week I add some extra pieces of ginger, lime and some grapes. A nice cool healthy fizzy soda. Every 30+ days I discard everything.

I was made airlock at my home with a slim pipe and one side of my pipe inside the fermentor jar and the other side of my pipe inside a bottle and I'm pour the water inside this bottle i mean I'm fill the bottle by water and for this other side of my pipe stay down with water and when my fermentation is start then there are comes bubbles from the pipe inside the water and the bubbles are going to the top inside from the water

Can an old ginger bug be activated? I cleaned out the fridge and discovered my old ginger bug. I tasted it and it taste like 100 proof alcohol. It is clear and strong. Can it be used to make fermented drinks?
