      This is like a morgage concept, thats why you see rich people with different cars every year the trade in value can be the same when you bought it if you take it to a different dealership you finance it for a year so it depreciation isn't too high spending 200k cash and selling it for 170k isn't smart... You have to consider maintenance as well

      Living hand to mouth.
      You can buy a cheap second/third hand old Lamborghini Gallardo for like $30000-$50000. And then send it to a countryside repairman to refurbish for $10000. Add some matte black paint for $1000 and you get a Lamborghini that looks like the Sesto Elemento.
      $41000.

    Sure, $1,800 a month for car and $700 - $800+ a month for insurance and $500+ a month for maintenance a month. If anything goes wrong on that car you're fucked bud. If you think a mid class person can afford a sports car like that you're delusional.

    • @scd96
      @scd96 8 лет назад +3

      A used Gallardo can be bought for around 90k, which would be around 1200 a month. Insurance would be about 2k a year. I'd say that's pretty affordable. (the insurance number is the average cost for a gallardo owner with a good record)

    • @nafiztube
      @nafiztube 8 лет назад +9

    • @abossman13
      @abossman13 8 лет назад +16

      Name me a Lamborghini gallardo that hasn't depreciated in price. Im sure there might be one or two. But thats usually without driving it more than 1k every year. Also doesn't take into account most super cars that actually make money are usually 700k up. Or you have to wait 20+ years to slightly appreciate, even then after you factor, inflation insurance, running costs, etc. you still have lost hundreds of thousands.

    • @apocailypse3766
      @apocailypse3766 8 лет назад +16

      +Daniel A The idea is that you buy a car that has already deprecated its 30%. The car will not depreciate past that point so you can sell it for just about what you have into it.

    • @scd96
      @scd96 8 лет назад +2

      A good example would be the Porsche GT3RS. You can order one (with options) for around 200k. As soon. as you take delivery, the car could be sold for at least 50k over what you paid.

  • @Mr.Plutonium

    The question here is how the hell did u convince the dealer to sell a car that has a market value of 170k to depart with no profit at 120k?

    • @onixz100
      @onixz100 7 лет назад +5

      Yup, that's the thing that he never answers and has been breaking my head for the past half hour.

    • @crazybones2009
      @crazybones2009 7 лет назад +4

      Veritas .....I don't trust this guy one bit....this is a misleading attempt to sell either a ebook or a course....what he says doesnt happen in real world unless you do something illegal

    • @onixz100
      @onixz100 7 лет назад +11

      Yeah, you should never trust these things. At the end of the day, there are no shortcuts. You just have to work smart and hard, earn money and you will have what you want. If you're looking for cheap shortcuts, you're not made out for anything. - Anyway, this guy constantly says "So I bought the Lamborghini for $120K meanwhile the market price is $170K." That doesn't make any sense; why would the dealership sell it to you for that much?
      He's basically saying: "Since I got it for 120 and it goes for 170, I can drive it for two years until it's worth 120, and then sell it and get my 120 back." But that's the whole point! How the hell are you getting a dealership to give you the car at 120?
      Even if that's what the dealership bought it for 120, why would they sell it to you at par? It doesn't make any sense, and he never explains it over the course of the video. That's the key element of this whole thing, but he obviously glosses over it because it's all bullshit.

    • @crazybones2009
      @crazybones2009 7 лет назад +2

      Veritas ...the only way he can buy it that cheap if the seller was in distress and wanna sell it off at a loss to get out of a financial difficulty or if the seller has liquidated and he bought it off auction and he was lucky the others didn't go for the car....but in this case it was a dealership and both these scenarios dont come into play.....sooo yea...lol....wait for his e-book ;)

    if you're not making *at least $300K/year* don't get any exotic car. because a used exotic will cost you a shitload of money to fix. so sure you might be able to *afford* the initial cost but anything goes wrong and you're screwed.

I'm still afraid of buying an exotic although its my dream and I'm really looking into it. It is still scary. A $2,000 car payment a month is just plain stupid. I say you need at least 50% down IMO

      That, and the interest on a loan should always be considered. If not paid properly and quick enough, the interest compounds against you. In the end, it is more than likely that you are actually paying more than what was originally considered.

      Jameel ja, a flight attendant in dubai who works for flight emirates make about 2500 dollars a month but with free accomodation and free taxes, so let's say he spend 1000 dollars a month and saves 1500 dollars a month that's 18k a year, if he saves 18 k a year for about 10 to 12 years, he will be able to buy a nice super car like a mclaren 570s or a mercedes amg gt or bmw i8 or audi r8 or a used lambo if he wants, isn't that logic?

    Just wait until you have to do the 15,000 mile service in 1,000 miles. You can't drive it for more than 1 year and avoid the 15k service, annual service and likely the eGear clutch replacement. That is $20,000 in services in 1 year.

    • @ExoticCarHacks
      @ExoticCarHacks  7 лет назад +31

      u sir are an idiot, and this is why you dont drive one. That is inaccurate info from 15 years ago

    • @GordonMiller
      @GordonMiller 7 лет назад +50

      Exotic Car Hacks I always love it when people resort to name calling. That means they have lost the debate even before it has started. I didn't call YOU and idiot, and yet you attack me for pointing out potential deferred maintenance issues. Checking with my local Lamborghini dealer says that annual service is just under $5,000. The 30,000 mile service is just under $10,000 total since it is an annual service and additional items. A clutch is from $5,000-$10,000 depending on model and year. If the prior owner had failed to perform a service within the last 12 months and has that documented, and the 30,000 mile service has. It been done, that service will be around $10,000 for catch up maintenance and service. Within 1 year you will have another $5,000 in annual service and at least $5.000 for a clutch. My 9 year old confirms that $10,000 + $5,000 + $5,000 is indeed $20,000. Maybe you can check my math while you consider an apology.

      nope still stick to the you are idiot. The misinformation on that is staggering.

    • @GordonMiller
      @GordonMiller 7 лет назад

      ***** I don't know about that. I loved my 2012 Bentley GTC and it wasn't for the name. It was because it it was a great car. The annual service for the GTC was only $2,580 per year and required zero maintenance for the 3 years I owned mine.

    • @GordonMiller
      @GordonMiller 7 лет назад

      Yeah, I drove mine less than 5,000 miles per year. I got rid of it because it attracted too much negative attention. I was going to have the license plate 1PRCNT but that would have not been cool. My G3 CEO plate wasn't much better.

      Buy a Prius instead

    • @lukahenigman8453
      @lukahenigman8453 5 лет назад

      You could rent it a few times per year in a location where you will actually enjoy it (think French Riviera, Stelio Pass, or on a racetrack) and pay a few thousand $ /year to enjoy rather than spending that amount on insurance itself and not being able to utilise the full capacity of the car.
      When you’re sitting in traffic in the rain, being in a quite and comfortable Prius is just as good if not better than a 458.
      I’m purposefully excluding other hidden costs such as; mechanical maintenance 😬 (especially if it’s Italian), daily use of ⛽️, change in tyres (this one’s a lot bigger than you think), brake pads, expensive new car batteries (every time you don’t use it for more than *a few days*), registration, and having to pay extra for parking and automatically being expected to pay more for things/buy people stuff/tip extra.
      Just go out and have a ton of fun renting one every once in a while when you really want to. This would also give you the ability to experience a new car every time. ie. try a new make, model, or badge without having to deal w depreciation, financing, and transaction costs.
