hi, I myself, after riding a carver for 2 years, rearranged the suspension on the board from the longboard, and this is the best feeling from riding! the problem is that most suspensions are not designed for such loads and wide pumps, and simply crumble in a short period of time

hey steve
i have this really cool board i would love for you to check out. i put a waterborne fin system on a kahuna creations shaka board. this thing isnt quite as long as the boards here but at 47" its pretty close. the thing i love about this board is the width. its a massive 14" across at the widest and tapers to about 12" at the tail. its super fun. i recommend you grab one. id love to see how you would set up this beast. maybe a c7 or some other truck system.

any tips on how to get some more high speed carving on a standard length(30ish) surfskate board with CXs? i need to keep up with my normal longboard friends a bit better lol
That was my problem too. With 60 and slide or carver I can keep up with LFPs
Steve... What do you prefer for cruise by the city, médium-long distance cruises, "classic" surfskates or longboard surfskates? Best regards from Spain! 😊🙏🏼
I would prefer pretty long decks with carver style trucks which result in stable ride and good pumping speed. I do 5 to 10km rides on the Koastal Drifter 60”with Slide trucks! Perfect combo. But looking for an 48 version too. The 60” ends up hard in Carrying😅
Definitely more classic lengths for city cruising. These super long ones aren't the easiest to work with logistically.
I set up Waterborne with the Koastal Meat Loaf. Definitely a groovy ride!
Hi Steve ,been surf skating a couple of months now…really enjoy it but my knees are aching a lot …I’ve not skated for just over a week but they still ache,is this normal….? I’m 52 btw
At our age? For sure, unfortunately, haha. You just have to keep at it.
