I'm trying to find out what is going on with my brother. He has 70 years old and in the last 8 months he has started seeing ghosts around his house. At first they were a couple of guys and now there's a couple of girls and children and he says they can walk through walls and they steal his stuff for move his things around. He called the cops yesterday because he said that the older ghost locked some kids in his car and the police said for him not to touch anything until they got their. Well, I got there before the police and I just unlocked the car. My brother kind of freaked out. He is seeing things I'm not seeing. He says sometimes these ghosts do disgusting things. That happened a couple days ago and he jumped in his car and started driving. Well he got lost four times driving the 3 hours to my house. After he got here I put him on my location because I wound up having to drive to him so he could follow me home after he was able to tell me a couple of street sign names. This has all come on just in the last 8 to 10 months. I don't know if it's the house he's living in? He has gotten to the point where he doesn't take showers and barely eats and he has gotten really thin and he said that these ghosts throw away his food and all kinds of crazy stuff. I had him at my house now for 2 days and he talked a little bit about it but he also said he had the best night's rest that he had had in months and didn't have any nightmares and didn't do any sleep walking and he was pretty relaxed. buy mid-to-late afternoon you could tell he was getting tired and he started acting strangely again. He put his phones and some of his other personal stuff in a ottoman that I had and came and told me where it was. It's like he was hiding it from the ghosts. My guess is he does all this stuff himself. He used to be a neat clean person and now his house is a disaster and he keeps misplacing things. Can schizophrenia or dementia onset that quickly? Is his house seriously being haunted? I mean he was a little well a lot better here the last couple days. I've been trying to find him an apartment near me And although he's kind of excited about it he's also anxious because it's not going to be the size of what he's been living in. But he's going to go back to his house until the place is ready and I think he's having anxiety about going back to the house for maybe a week while they put in flooring and paint. He doesn't want to bring any of his furniture with him or his beds or anything because he said that they've been jumping all over his stuff and put their heads up through his couch and will fight me to move the couches etc. I'm seriously concerned and don't know where to turn or what to do first. He lives in a different county than me. Yesterday I had him convince to at least go see a doctor and get evaluated but today know he is saying there was nothing wrong with him because he's been fine at my house well not all the way fine but mostly I guess. What are my options what should I do
