I used to be self-conscious about my stuttering problem, but seeing Elon comfortable in his skin and achieve the success he has is truly inspiring. My favorite talk of his to date.
I mostly solved my stuttering and stammering problem. I have partly developed a weak voice too. Mainly from past traumas and maybe head injuries. It took a lot of self reflection and understanding myself. I still do and I still fumble my words, where it is an uncontrolled mumble or false pronunciation under lightest of stress, but it really isa relief to see it can be improved, elon improves and also that people see a figure that dispels judgment on speaking = intelligence or charisma. Elon has a personality and intelligence, people look beyond because they see his success. I am glad he is a good example.
I used to not even want to talk in front of a couple people. Elon’s “awkwardness” when speaking made me realize it was ok and I actually make videos now. Still self conscious about my speaking ability but much less than a decade ago.

My belief is that making a wise investment is a fantastic way to save money for the future as well as a way to generate passive income. Those who make poor mistakes early in life regret them later in life. Yet, investing can be challenging and dangerous if done alone. The fact is that BTC symbolises the future of cryptocurrency, and traders are wondering if now is the best moment to trade, I feel you should examine the situation more closely before jumping to any conclusion. BTC's price has been fluctuating over the previous days, signaling that the market has become unstable and that is it impossible to anticipate whether it will go bearish or bullish. Some people just can’t cope with the idea that a billionaire can be a good human. They think they have taken away money from others in massive amounts. Like taking away more share of the finite pie. It’s just an extremely over valued stock (with current earnings, it would take 200 years to earn the money back from buying Tesla. I believe it was the most shorted stock in the past. They really went against his company. The subsequent sustained large shares price increases mean the longs won.

Elon took 47 million dollars from the city of Las Vegas in order to build a one lane underground road that can only use Tesla car and can only move a small number of people at a time instead of building a much more effective train system and wants to expand this to several other cities. As Andrew wisely pointed out, the problem ISN'T Trump! Trump is a symptom of an extreme winner take all form of capitalism thanks to it being on steroids of the technological variety. This sentiment was also expressed by Eric Weinstein as he aptly put it, *_“We think of capitalism as being locked in an ideological battle with socialism, but we never really saw that capitalism might be defeated by its own child - technology.”_* and so the demise of the foundational principle for the continued viability of the most successful socioeconomic system historically, capitalism, is inevitable, & that principle is *'labor for income'.* The critical question is what socioeconomic model design will be the most feasible in our AI directed technological context, we have to acknowledge that none of the historical models cut it.

Exactly. So I was sad when I realized lots of people out there are opposing this idea because the worlds richest man is gaining ownership of Twitter. It pissess me off the public is equating Elon Musk's moral integrity and values on the same trash level as Jeff Bezos. The most important thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the word. This is still a good time to invest in various stocks, Gold, silver and digital currencies.
The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading.

Elon's willingness to be vulnerable on a global stage is one of his most remarkable qualities that I think is overlooked. He doesn't use Aspergers as a crutch but instead provides an honest and what sounds to me as a raw experience in his childhood navigating his environment as a means of relatability. Notwithstanding, like so many others have commented on this thread, Elon being one of the greatest minds of any generation. We are fortunate to have him trying to advance humanity forward not just through technology but also by creating dialogue regarding the importance of maintaining what our founding fathers envisioned for free speech.

I actually think his Asperger's is part of why he's like that without hesitation. A lot of people I know including family with Asperger's tend to have that quality. I love Asperger's, all my favourite people have it. It's odd how it's thought of as a negative thing when it actually has so many positives.

His eyes became watery when he was talking about those 3 years in his factory. gave me so much encouragement to battle with life pains.

When you interview someone they should do 80% of the talking not 40%. Also you should never interrupt them when they are saying something important to say something VERY unimportant.

5-10% any buyers to buy NOW? who and for how much?
I just realised that there's a misleading edit at 4:47. After Chris Anderson asks "Is there an element that you actually deliberately make aggressive prediction timelines to drive people to be ambitious - without that, nothing gets done?" they cut to a clip of him nodding, but in the full version of the interview he says: _"Well, I generally believe, in terms of _*_internal_*_ timelines, that we want to set the most aggressive timeline that we can, because there’s sort of like a law of gaseous expansion where, for schedules, where whatever time you set, it's not going to be less than that. It's very rare that it'll be less than that. _*_But as far as my predictions are concerned, what tends to happen in the media is that they will report all the wrong ones and ignore all the right ones."_* The implication here is clearly (and I'm pretty sure he's said so elsewhere) that that would only be the case with internal schedules, not public predictions.
It was great to see him talking about his childhood in that way, it's something I've personally never seen him do before
There's an interview of his early years on You Tube. It shows him as a kid and family, his addiction to books, all books, its worth a watch.

I like how Elon is not very eloquent when explaining things but is still an incredibly smart man with a great sense of humor.

Elon is absolutely right on the importance of free speech in social platforms. Kudos to him for highlighting this issue in the news. For a functional democracy, we all need to protect the rights of those who talk about things that we don’t like.
"free speech on social platforms"
It's a chess move on his part.
I do sometimes think he's still naive to the general toxicity of those in opposition to him (word carefully chosen).
The "free speech" internet had and will continue to promote the divisive " my way or the highway" echo chamber society we now inhabit.
Is that *really* good?
umm....Elon Musk has retaliated against MANY people for their speech. He cut off access to self drive from a Tesla owner because he didn't like his blog post. He tried to buy off and then ruined a kid who published PUBLIC information about him. I am pretty sure the only free speech he is interested in is speech he likes....at least that is how he has acted. We should be cautious of his talk when he hasn't been the bastion of free speech in his own life. (and these were just two of many publicly reported examples of his attacking speech)

It was a few years back that I finally let go of my, in general, stubborn resistance to all that is trendy. Specifically, in this case, regarding Elon and listened to a conversation between Rogan and Musk.
I will never forget Rogan asking the question "If - with all that you know, all that you imagined, and all that you have accomplished - if there was only one message, one thought, one truth that you could deliver to humanity, what would it be?" Elon gives that eyes slightly to the side and up expression and says "Love, the most important and powerful thing in the world is love. That's it..." There are only a few geniuses in all of world history that would have given that answer. It is love that leads to the vision of building a better future for all of us and our children. I love and respect this man. We are fortunate that he is here, now. Together with love we can build a better brighter future. Let's go!

*_"Elon is the first in a long time (and only one) who embodies hope"_* not true, looking back at the US presidential campaign of 2019-2020, Elon did endorse Democratic Presidential Candidate Andrew Yang. Andrew championed much needed 21 century solutions in light of the rapid emergence of our historically unprecedented science & technology of AI direct autonomous robotic systems & the potential disruption it has & will increasingly continue to create. As Andrew wisely pointed out, the problem ISN'T Trump! Trump is a symptom of an extreme winner take all form of capitalism thanks to it being on steroids of the technological variety.
This sentiment was also expressed by Eric Weinstein as he aptly put it, *_“We think of capitalism as being locked in an ideological battle with socialism, but we never really saw that capitalism might be defeated by its own child - technology.”_* and so the demise of the foundational principle for the continued viability of the most successful socioeconomic system historically, capitalism, is inevitable, & that principle is *'labor for income'.*
The critical question is what socioeconomic model design will be the most feasible in our AI directed technological context, we have to acknowledge that none of the historical models cut it.
