getting sponsored by libby is a DREAM get your COIN bb !!! I've had my eye on goose girl ever since I first heard you talk about so I guess I gotta put it on hold now
I literally just went to the library last week to get a library card with the main purpose of using it for Libby and Hoopla. I really love Libby's interface so far.
No way?! So I’ve heard heaps about Libby from American Booktubers, but always thought I couldn’t get it, I literally live in a tiny town in Scotland, but hearing you talk about it I was like eh might as well check it out, shame on me for having so little faith in my wee local library! My childhood account ran out, registered for a new library card online and within 5 minutes had access to over 1,000 free audiobooks HAILEY IM CRYING TEARS OF JOY 😭😭😭🙌🏽💕
OMG I listen to books at work too! I'm a bartender and since I get to wear my hair down, I'll pop an Airpod in and conceal it with my hair and listen to books during my shift hahahaha
I also love audiobooks and I get through so many books because I can do other things while reading/listening. I have to agree with Sadie, Illuminae, and Daisy Jones being the most amazing books to listen to the audiobooks on. I also just added some of the other books you talked about to my list of books to read! Thanks Hailey
Daisy Jones YESSSS That was truly the first audiobook I absolutely loved and that I could really get into! Aaah I totally want to listen to the Nightingale now! I've been meaning to reread it (also one of my faves!), so hearing that the audiobook is so great makes me want to reread it even more!
I love audiobooks. I listen to them at work as well (even though I’m not supposed to be listening to anything 🤫). My favourites so far are; 🔘 The Name of the Wind narrated by Rupert Degas 🔘 The Lunar Chronicles narrated by Rebecca Solar 🔘 The Shadow of the Wind narrated by Daniel Philpott 🔘 The Diviners narrated by January LaVoy 🔘 The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo narrated by Alma Cuervo.
Libby was a life changer. No joke. Great video! I couldn't agree more about Daisy Jones. It was my first audiobook and I was all in on them since then. I loved the Me Before You series on audiobook, too.
1. Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid 2. The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale 3. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah 4. Illuminae 5. Radio Silence by Alice Oseman 6. Sadie by Courtney Summers 7. Stalking Jack the Ripper 8. Daughter of the Pirate King 9. The Thousandth Floor
Omg Sadie is my favorite audiobook I’ve ever read❤️ it’s fantastic, I 100% agree with this pick! I’m also currently listening to Radio Silence after hearing you recommend it and I’m devouring it
Libby is amazing, that’s where I found my love for audiobooks. I honestly don’t think I would have given them a chance because of the price difference between the audiobooks and ebooks. Now I pretty much exclusively listen to free audiobooks on Libby, occasionally buying one for a series I already love but my library doesn’t have/ the wait is to long.
Top Audiobook Rec : The Book Thief by Markus Zusak I FINALLY picked it up after many, many, MANY a recommendation from you, Hailey, and MY GOD is it good!! I LOVE Death as a character and the entire story has taken me completely by surprise. I'm absolutely adoring this book and it's top on my list of best books I read in 2019!!
This is the perfect timing for this video! I have 2 audible credits I need to use. Listening to Nevernight saved the book for me I found that the physical book with the footnotes was difficult to read.
Yesss Sadie was the first audiobook that I listened to! It made me even start listening to podcasts (Potterless is awesome if anyone is interested in podcasts)! The Themis Files trilogy is awesome as audiobooks! The format is perfect for the way the books are written and it’s a full cast too!
Omg I’ve missed your videos! Every time you post a video I add it to my “To Watch” list but I haven’t been watching them because I’ve been trying to focus on reading! I bought so many books in the fall and now I’m catching up on reading them. I have actually been listening to a lot of books on Libby lately, so I absolutely had to watch this video. Loved it! My favourite audiobook so far was The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty. Elizabeth McGovern’s narration was wonderful!!
Libby is truly an amazing APP! I always read my books on Libby and only buy books I truly love! Saves a ton of money and space when you're only buying books you know you love!
I love libby so much!!!! My library is the best!! I 1,000% agree with Stalking Jack the Ripper and Daughter of the Pirate King. I picked both of them up on your love for them and I listen to the audiobooks and it was such a fun experience and I had to stop everything to listen to the endings.
Thank you so much! It’s because of you and this video that I discovered Libby and I absolutely love it!!! Recommended it to a friend and everything! Thank you so much
Divine timing- i was just looking for my next audiobook. My fav is eleanor oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman. Loved listening to it so much.
Hailey, I loved this video! I hope you do many more audiobook videos. I just started listening to audiobooks this year and I love them!! Out of the ones you mentioned, I have only listened to Sadie so far and enjoyed it. It has a cast of over 30 people. Being new to audiobooks, the only thing I have found is that I really have to concentrate on the book to stay in the story. I can't multi-task and do other things. I wonder if that is something that I will eventually be able to do as I listen to them more. Has anyone else ever had this problem?
I loved loved LOVED the audiobook for Daisy Jones & the Six! I kind of started listening to it on a whim, after hearing you three rave about it and seeing so many great reviews, and I knew I was going to adore it after the first 10 minutes already. What a book! ❤ Now I'm going to need to read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo as well!
I borrowed the audiobook for Daisy Jones & The Six on Libby to listen to as I read along and I am obsessed. I love the full cast, too (especially Judy Greer) and I have been recommending the audiobook to everyone. I almost always listen to Taylor Jenkins Reid books on audiobook rather than physically reading them
The Themis Files Trilogy audiobook is really good if you enjoy Sci-Fi and a full cast, they book also definitely is perfect for an audiobook, similar to Daisy Jones and the Six
Ugh I'm so bummed my library isnt on libby. Thanks for your recs. I have a hard time finding audiobooks that I really like the narration of so I'll definitely be giving some on your list a try.
I have yet to give audio books a try, but I really want to! Definitely want to listen to the Illuminae Files series. I read them in January, but would love to experience them again, but through my good ol' headphones :) Great recommendations!!
I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks this month and I listened to Sadie and this was really good even if I didn't really like the ending. My next read is gonna be Daisy Jones and the Six and I can't wait to finally listen to this book
I simply do not have enough money to listen audiobooks. Now have both the audio and the phisical copy! I wish.... I did try the audible one month trial. Really liked the one audiobook that i listen. The White Tiger. It's really good!
@@elizabethm3327 Yeh. My problem is that i'm not from the US. So 8,99 = 37,75 where i'm from + i don't really have local library that work with this app. My only option (unfortunately) is audible :(
I physically read The Nightingale and I also made my whole family read it. Love this video. I have just recently started getting into Audio books. My current listen is Skyward by Brandon Sanderson and I'm really enjoying it:)
It took me a long time to get into audio books but now that I have, I love it. I get through so many books much faster with the audiobooks. A couple of other great audiobooks (especially around Halloween) are the Prosper Redding duology and the Diviners series. The Diviners is already pretty creepy but the audiobook adds another layer to its spookiness. Definitely not for anyone who doesn't like horror/scary books.
Libby is SO awesome and life-changing and can I change ya'll's lives one more time?! The Library Extension browser extension (for Chrome and Firefox for sure, not sure about other browsers) will add a box to the most common book-browsing sites (Goodreads, Amazon, etc), checking your local libraries to see if that book is available in either their physical or digital systems (including Overdrive, yes!). It is unbelievably awesome for anybody who wants to use their libraries more.
I JUST GOT LIBBY AND I'M SO EXCITED YET OVERWHELMED BUT SCARED OF ALL THE OPTIONS.. AH I JUST DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START. sorry that was very aggressive, i'm just very happy.
I really enjoyed this video! I will check out some of these recommendations. I've read the first 2 Bayern books so I'll check out the rest of the series on audiobook. Hopefully my library has it! Currently I have The Nightingale audiobook on hold on Overdrive. If you are doing another audiobook recommendation video in the future, could I suggest separating recs by best narrator (independent of how good the book is), multiple narrators, full cast, overall experience, etc.?
I love your vids!!!! Thanks to you I found booktube!!! And Libby sounds great sad thing is that in my country libraries are a magical place that only exist in dreams
You should really listen to the Stillhouse lake series. Its a thriller trilogy by Racheal Caine. It really renewed my love for audio books! The series in order is #1 Stillhouse Lake #2 Killman Creek #3 Wolf Hunter River. Its about a woman who's husband is a serial killer and how her and her kids have to start a new life running from people who think she is guilty of helping him, and other terrifying people.
I find it SO difficult to focus on an audiobook :/ I find my mind drifting away into my own thoughts💭 and then, I have to rewind like a gazillion times!! I love reading physically. Though I am trying to listen to Daisy Jones and The Six right now and I must say the audiobook is PRETTY GOOD!
First off, libby is the best! I use my library all the time. Second, Illuminae on it's own is great. The audiobook is stunning.
Do I need a card to open libby? I can't open the app
@@metrobotttxxxxx567 You do need a library card but you should be able to open the app. Try reinstalling it.
I swear you have the best audio on RUclips - you sound so clear always. Whatever mike you use is awesome!

Jim Dale narrating the Harry Potter series, Peter Pan, and the Night Circus is absolutely AAAA-MAZING! Jim Dale is awesome!
Yes harry potter was my first audiobook. Im so excited to listen to more of his work
OMG I listen to books at work too! I'm a bartender and since I get to wear my hair down, I'll pop an Airpod in and conceal it with my hair and listen to books during my shift hahahaha
Definitely started singing "Having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card" just as you did! YESS ARTHUR REFERENCE
Yay! Libby is the best audiobook app!! I love that they sponsored this video! I love hoopla for library audiobooks as well!
I honestly love audio-books! Full cast audio-books are the best.
I also love audiobooks and I get through so many books because I can do other things while reading/listening. Kazzie Athena Lunar Chronicles on audio is SO good! 👍😁
The Diviners are amazing!

Full cast audiobooks are amazing!! Drew Hayes picks so AWESOME narrators for his stories.

2. The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale
3. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
4. Illuminae
5. Radio Silence by Alice Oseman
6. Sadie by Courtney Summers

Audiobooks help me when I’m in reading slumps & when I’m super busy but really want to read! Love this!!
I'm listening to Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy audiobook and I am LOVING it! Never really listened to audiobooks before
Omg Sadie is my favorite audiobook I’ve ever read❤️ it’s fantastic, I 100% agree with this pick!

ONG You are my new BFF! Where has Libby been my whole life?? Thank you!
Ok how did she actually read my mind. I’ve been spending all yesterday looking for good audiobooks to listen to
Hailey I love youuuuu
I never listened to audiobooks until about a year ago, and they're amazing! I swear audiobooks are life changing
Oh yay!! I have loved listening to audiobooks lately! I also started making more and more booktube videos. Such a fun community!

Thank you for this video!!! I love listening to audio books!! Also thank you for supporting your library ❤️
Yes! I love it when you do this type of videos. I m always looking for new recs!! 😍

When you quoted Arthur I just lost it! CHILDHOOD ♥️♥️♥️
The Themis Files Trilogy audiobook is really good if you enjoy Sci-Fi and a full cast, they book also definitely is perfect for an audiobook, similar to Daisy Jones and the Six
I love Libby! There’s so many options than hoopla!
I just discovered Audiobooks because Hailey was recommending alot and they are great. Thanks for recommendation 😍
I will definitely want to give some of these books a try thanks!!
Libby is my ABSOLUTE favorite, I use it and Hoopla solely and it is so much better than paying for a subscription!
I don't think I will ever be interested in reading 95% of the books she talks about but for some reason I still love watching her videos lol
Same
I'm listening to one of the 6 Tudor queen books just now, I really like them!
The Help is my very most favorite audiobook!!! So good!
Yesss Sadie was so so good!!
Ugh I'm so bummed my library isnt on libby. Thanks for your recs. I have a hard time finding audiobooks that I really like the narration of so I'll definitely be giving some on your list a try.

Definitely appreciated the Arthur reference!
Just got the 11th floor! Already on chapter 13! Thank you!
OKAY, SIS!! Libby is awesome!!
I just finished The Nightingale. I have been shaken to the core.
I love Libby! I've never seen it sponsored!
Just listened to the excerpt of Daughter of the pirate kind and OH.MY.GOD. it seems so good 😱😱😍
I can’t wait for your next recent reads 🥰
Daughter of the Pirate King was just a fun read!!!
I also read radio silence! So cool to hear your thoughts about it :D
I simply do not have enough money to listen audiobooks. Now have both the audio and the phisical copy! I wish....
I did try the audible one month trial. Really liked the one audiobook that i listen. The White Tiger. It's really good!
Amazon's Audible is expensive and limited (for the price). Try Scribd. It's 8.99/mo, and you borrow books instead of buy.

I already use Libby all the time! That never happened before where there was a sponsor I actually use
I love audiobooks because I walk home from school which is about 30/40 mins - and I always listen to audiobooks on the way home :)
You look beautiful Hailey!!!
You're doing a fantastic job! Love and peace! 😎
