I have many tinctures which I also use. When dealing with cold /flu we need to drink lots of warm liquids such as bone broth and tea. I love to offer this tea to many family. Also, forgot to mention, yes alcohol based tinctures are strong. But they only have alcohol/fat soluble properties in the tincture. Teas ( my teas infuse for 15-20 minutes) are infusions to extract water soluble properties.

I have dead nettles in my yard, and another one green long leaves that can help you if you get cut. I'm tired and cannot think of the name right now. Do you use comfrey?

Being prepared is a good idea. Keep in mind dry herbs only good for about 2 years.

I believe the tree is called Basswood, not sure.
Yes, it grows readily in temperate climates. Look for a tree covered with bees in the spring, its most likely linden , basswood.
