Dan, It’s obvious to certain people such as myself know that you are quite knowledgeable in what you do and are a law abiding citizen and would never question your tactics and those people who don’t are the ones who are questioning your reasons. All the negative commenters are the ones who don’t know much about anything. You make good videos and I always look forward to the next one. Safety, health and success to you 😊
It's really great to see someone who thinks he KNOWS EVERYTHING make himself look like an arrogant azz. As a member of the inventors council in central Florida and has been cutting gems since 1972, and when you quit listening to people you've stopped learning. I don't question Dan's abilities or knowledge, and I'm sure he knows more of certain things than I do, but I'm betting I know things he doesn't from my own experiences. So stop judging people and their comments, saying they don't know much about anything only makes you look like your standing on your own pedestal looking down on others. Have a real nice day.

You missed my point entirely. no, Lawrence is not correct in assuming that people can't or shouldn't have questions or give advice or an idea that Dan has not thought of. And I'm seeing things that Dan is not using that would make his time prospecting a lot easier or more functional. I'm sure you're right that Dan has to do a lot of work that's not seen, editing, research, "papers", or whatever else that goes on behind the scene, so you're correct in that. Just an example of what I'm talking about..........if Dan took a 2 gallon hand pump garden sprayer, he could spray a whole area with water which will help highlight the best stuff and wash away loose dirt instead of using those little water bottle sprayers that you are having to refill all the time. How do I know this? Because I've done prospecting for opals in Virgin Valley Nevada. I design and invent tools, and just finished a new lapidary tool that beats the current systems by a long shot. And it's a cheaper system and more functional, than current systems. But my point I was making is that don't discourage people or put them down because they ask questions or make suggestions. Now do you get it???

I just saw your Facebook video, Dan. Get well soon! As a result of your channel and being in Northern California, I've gone on a few prospecting adventures. You've been a big inspiration to many of us.
The romans used force dried wooden wedges that fit tightly in to the holes .They put waterskins on the wedges so they soaked the water up, the wedges swelled and that cracked the rock . they had to put the skins on at nightfall and as sun baked the area the next day it helped to expand the wedges faster .

He was a high school teacher! He was my medieval armouring teacher back in 2010, in the years after I graduated he did courses on prospecting. He was a fantastic teacher!

Hey Dan if you don't already include 'hemp seed hearts' into your diet I would highly recommend you start to incorporate them into your daily diet. The protein content combined with perfect balance of omega 6 and 3 fatty acids make them a super-food that may well help you regain your strength. With a shelf-life of at least a year at room temperature it's hard to beat the value.
