Just one added suggestion: You’d be risking the ire of the critics, but another really interesting thing to do would be to suggest more flexible rubato and shaping, based on the unconventional and tension-raising dissonances that you outline in the beginning of the Allegro. A constant frustration of mine is not to hear Beethoven played with the quirkiness and liveliness that are suggested by accounts such as Schindler’s, as quoted in Harold Schonberg’s “The Great Pianists”. Fasil Say and the violinist playing with him are really onto this in his incredible performance of the “Kreutzer” violin sonata.
Are the recordings of Susan Kagan and Joseph suk of the archduke work available on CD or other media

Great but i wish he covered all the movements! Im a big fan of the scherzo
I find a streak of Beethoven in the Archduke's sonata even after the second group. I keep expecting that it would follow the plan of the Appassionata. I thought that the tonic of F minor sounded the same to both teacher and student, and yet Beethoven did not write an F-minor violin sonata. and so I was struggling to come up with a model for the Archduke to use.
Is there any written transcription of this extraordinary lecture? That may help us a lot.
Does anyone know where to find the letter Bruce Adolphe quotes-the one about how to trick Beethoven into improvising?

Isn't this a trio for "Piano, Violin, and Cello", not "Piano, Violin, Viola, and Cello"? And Arnaud Sussmann is a violinist, not violist
