I find it so interesting that we see men like Peterson and wish him to be saved in a manner unlike others. Is this our consistency of Reformed thinking-soteriology coming out or is it something else. I don't see it as just a love for sinners, for I myself see a certain perplexity in how one like Peterson can have so much wisdom in regards to worldview, etc, without Christ in him. Of course by principle, we wish all to be saved, but I see quite often, Reformed people wondering various things: such as is he being wooed by the Spirit.?How can he speak with such brilliance if it weren't that The father wishes him to be given to the Son, for salvation?. And postings of the things he has said about Christ. I guess its just an interest of many. Manner is just a reference to the expressions and tenor of many on this situation. I thoroughly enjoy listening to both Drs. James White and Jordan Peterson. And I can honestly say I understand maybe 40% of what both say. I've had "ah hah" moments with Peterson, cried with him even. But he was asked once if he was a prophet. He didn't answer "no." He said something like "I can't say." That perked my ears a bit. But I do believe he's searching for the Truth is all he does.

Jordan is great at examining the fruits of traditionally Christian-based societal structures. He was bringing more atheists to want to read the bible and back to church than church leaders were. I think Peterson has a very good evaluation of what observing the world without a savior is. Because he is exactly that. He cries out into the sky for a savior because he KNOWS God is there. He has the inner workings of Romans 1:19-20. But he just isn't fully sending his commitment to Christ, even though he's heard the Word. I think God's word is trickling through his hardness like acid. It'll take a while, but I believe we'll see Jordan come out and be saved. I pray for him.

I grew up in the 70s and 80s during the start of bussing and in preclusion to the current narrative in regards to racism. In fact, I was the one oppressed. I was beaten senseless because a "white guy" named Tim, slapped a black kids sister. I guess they figure we all look alike. And I was often attacked and beaten, even had a dozen or so blacks attack me and my friends because we were downtown at a skateboard bowl. They used rocks and bottles ! We had done zero to invite their wrath. Nothing!
The point is that we are all at various stages in life or our ancestors before as well, able to point out and complain under oppression.
I have spoken out about this issue, CRT etc, on my website and preaching and been targeted as a racist. Even if looking in the recent past 1860s and after, my great grandfather came straight from Galicia, 1860 from Spain to Tampa Bay, Ybor City and our family helped slaves that had runaway as well as supporting the Seminole Indians here to harbor and adopt them. This means nothing it seems to our current CRT black lives matter opponents. I'm white (actually I am Hispanic) and that's all they care about. I get no credit for doing good and no sympathy for the suffering I have endured. My wife even was terribly treated as a migrant worker. Yup, white.
The point is that unless we maintain a consistent epistemology that is derived from Scripture, we can make no sense of anything. All that happened to me, my Mary and anyone, is indeed in the Sovereign control of our blessed Father. I thank him for it all and that His grace makes me like Him. Not complaining but rather knowing that God's plan is perfect. Not one tear or pain or assault - not one molecule, is without meaning.
If not for the teaching of James and the Spirit in me, I'd be angry and evil and embracing all this trash. (CRT). INSTEAD let us Glorify GOD , and learn the truth about these things. Hateful and spiteful is not a consecrated manner.

There isnt value without purpose, there isnt purpose without God. So even though he is stating some truths, he has no ultimate justification for them. If we Christian's love and care for people like we say we do and like Christ did, then we should care about their eternal destinies.. so we are compelled to shed this "light" because there is a foundational purpose behind it which is calling people to redemption in Christ Jesus.

The reason why I know this is that whenever he is put on the spot: "Do you believe in the literal, historical resurrection of Christ" he is always very evasive with his answers: He refuses to give a simple yes or no, but that's ok, because anything less than an unqualified yes means that you're not a Christian.

Again, I'm not saying that I dislike him, I'm just saying that his fascination with the Bible should *not* be confused with actual Christian faith. There is a lot of liberal theologians out there who finds a lot of value in the Bible, without actually believing any of it.

It is clear that in the Bible the Devil himself finds telling a lie to be something practical and useful for "his"(the Devil)purposes. "Usefulness or practicality" is not a good measure for the validity of "Truth". Anyone, like Peterson, who tells you otherwise is clearly either the devil himself or working out of a devilish spirit or teachings.
Peterson is not teaching Christ or His teachings, therefore he is against Him(Matthew 12:30). Prove me otherwise and I'll change my mind. He seems to be a "lukewarm" "Preacher".
But Peterson also claims not to be against Christ and His teachings...so as Christ Himself said: "If they are not against us then they are for us...", therefore I won't "judge" the likes of Peterson since in his case only God knows the heart of people that thinks like him.

While in a micro cosmetic view pertaining to this video only you make some salient points regarding Christ and the resurrection (all true); I submit your lack time watching Peterson's lectures in total have blurred the point and context. Peterson is a lecturer in liberal academic setting trying to develop the concept of meta-stories running through human history. If you had the leisure to listen you would have recognized the biblical narrative being transmitted throughout history and cultures even where there is no special revelation like in the case of ancient Israel. You would then realize that he has captured the absolute essence of the statement by God that "I have revealed my laws, counsels and etc in the heavens and on earth so that men are without excuse..." (Paraphrased) Peterson captures these cross cultural meta narratives revealing not that the Christ story reflects a human creation or metaphor, but that God's story is carried through history (alive) making its fulfillment in Christ even more believable, natural and able for the human mind predisposed to a knowledge of God to accept.
I think in this case two people can be right as the same message is being approached from opposite ends. Just saying.

Peterson is not a preacher on the platform of the gospel so you can't critique him from a position that would have no value if what he is expounding on, was not true. The Human condition becomes worse the more you seek Justice for yourself.

I used to watch a lot of JBP but I slowly began to realize that his thinking is actually very evil. His ideas often mirror fascism, he denies the resurrection of Jesus but prefers being called a Christian, and he has a deep history with psychedelic drugs like psilocybin. His message is destructive to the Gospel, not helpful. People that follow him are impossible to convince that the Bible is more than myth.

I guess your message Needs to be piggybacked on his to get listeners or viewers. I have an idea, instead of Criticizing him and his message, why don't you polish yours up and try spreading that?
Shouldn't Preachers be Spreading the Word of God and not concentrating on the Popularity and Success of a Single Man trying his best to Help heal wounded hearts and souls in the Only way he knows, not to help him but to discredit him?
    Seems very unChristian to me.
Make Your Message one that spreads Hope and Faith in the Hearts of mankind and maybe you will increase your flock to the size of his.
Jesus replied, "And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.
Dr. Peterson's Instructions to people who suffer?
His words are like the words of Jesus to the Cripple when he said "Pick up thy bed and Walk".
maybe You should get to know Jesus?
Try reading and digesting John 5 and Luke 11-12.
"Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering."
When Jesus went outside, the Pharisees and the teachers of the law began to oppose him fiercely and to besiege him with questions,
They wanted to trap him into saying something they could use against him.
Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.
Of course, I am not comparing Dr. Peterson to Jesus, I am comparing You to those Pharisees, that's all.
I have to ask you this, can Good be done which is not ordained by God?
When Jesus walked this Earth, did the Religious Zealots whose Faith had been revealed by his Father, call him a Prophet and recognize him by his works? They did not. So it is no surprise that people will find fault with anyone doing any good at all which does not come about in some way which they approve of, but none of us have the Perfect way within us to share with others, when we try, we become the blind leading the blind.

Moralising is not the Gospel. James White is right to warn about Justin P. Many professing Christian's follow him and are convinced he is a Christian, he's not and his message will lead people away from Jesus not draw them closer.

It is ok. I m not offended. My first comment "calvinism is gnostic too" based on my own research, after meeting with calvinistic people and the calvinistic theology. Questions like: what makes you think that way? Or what are the gnostic elements in Calvinism?.... or...or - questions would be more productive! But you can be yourself and come up with something.
James white is a good example: jumps right on the person, if he can not lecture than he makes fun of his "opponents" and of course disables the comments.
