Definitely a fun thing to try! I used watercolor paper + regular papers. Found using a credit card to spread the bubbles was the easiest method. ❤️🎨
Thank you for sharing this information! Blessings of love and light to all!🙏🏼💜🙏🏼💙🙏🏼🧡🙏🏼💛🙏🏼💚🙏🏼
Fun idea!! The simple way you show every step, and your lively voice, makes this tutorial a joy to see and practice. Thanks!!
The best bubble art demonstration I have seen. Thanks!
That's so cool. I'm going to try that!! Different colors together too.
Go for it!
That looks and sounds like so much fun. Yes having the paper ready first before blowing bubbles would be important. Thanks for the video. Hugs!
This is so cool! I never even thought of using bubbles to create textures. This is definitely something I need to try!
3:34 I knew I wasn't the only one who saw the weird guy in the soap!
It looks like a mermaid 😂
That looks really fun!
I'm going to try this.
oooh. this looks like fun. gotta try this.
That is a really fun idea and the effect looks great!
Textures like this add so much interest to a picture, even if the rest might be more "simple".
Can't wait to try this myself!
Really fun technique to play around with
That looks like a whole lot of fun!
This video was both educational and adorable, your reactions made me smile a lot they were so precious and genuine how you enjoyed doing what you were ☺
I'll definitely try this technique for washing backgrounds in my paintings
What a coincidence that you uploaded this video at this time. I'm doing this in my classroom with my first graders this week. :)
Amanda Mesenbring tell us how it turned out, please...fun to you...
This looks so fun. I thought you were going to blow bubbles toward the paper but this way was quicker:) I look forward to to trying this after the holidays.
Very beautiful, and it is so good to see you having fun again!
+Art By TessieJo thanks. I had fun for about 5 mins and the 3 days after that were some of the worst in my life. Fun never lasts sadly.
Aw, Sweetie, I'm so sorry to hear that. You are a very sensitive person and an amazing artist. I wish I knew how to lift you up. You are very special and I always look forward to your videos to see how you are doing or what you have created.
thank you. Without my online supporters i would already have given up tbh. I wish i could give more but every time i try, i push my issues away like a boomrang and it comes back really strong.
I understand totally. My life too has many problems. I have manic depression and some days I think I can conquer anything and I produce a lot of art, then I crash a few days later feeling like my world will end, not wanting to crawl out from under the covers. I end up staying in bed not being able to deal with anything with a horrible sadness. We aren't alone though, many people struggle with loss. If I wasn't a Christian, and have Jesus to pray to, I couldn't make it.
You have days when you can conquer the world but sadly, i only have the down "the world will end" days and it's been for months. I can get out of bed but only because i had bad dreams and i don't want to sleep again. Think is it's not just about loss, it's about my life as a whole. I wish i would have faith, i try to hold to that too, i am a christian but i never really believed in this and i know faith is personnal but when your whole life seems like a mess and you can't get control back on the things you can control, it's really hard cause all your efforts go towards not letting the negativity win but then you don't have strenghts left to do positive things or things you want to do etc.. i'm exhausted mentally and physically and each day i try to believe it's only temporary but it comes back still. I want my life back but i'm not sure what my life was and i can't get it back since a big part of it is missing... I can tell it must be hard to have a high phase and feel powerful and do things and be happy about it only to fall down really low a few days after... i only have a vague idea cause the last few weeks i never passed the stage of being OK enough to make a change, it just stays in a rather moody stage but never better, i have this mental wall i can't break, i have to fight it to put it aside and it requires a lot of energy and when i'm finally reaching that level and i feel like me again, it only stays a few minutes...
Awesome, I like it.Thanks for sharing
that is so cool & awesome and fun
This is amazing! It gives a "dreamy-cloudy" effect!
A must try! (and looks fun to do xD)
This is so cool!! It really creates an amazing look. Can't wait to give it a try! Thanks for sharing :)
Hi there. I tried this but did not like the unpredictable look of the image so I used your method except…….when the bubble are blown up, I just scooped up the bubbles with a plastic spoon and dropped them where I wanted the specific color. It turned out absolutely beautiful. Thankyou for the idea.
Oh that's actually a great idea I never thought about scooping them and put them exactly where you want! I should try this technique again it's been a long time 😄
That sounds like an awesome trick. I think it would make lovely hydrangea heads in purples, blues, pinks.
It's really pretty! I want to try it.
Also, notification squad!
you should try it out it's really fun :D
Such a neat technique!
omg it's just very easy to made and the results are amaing 😍 i really have to try this out
It looks so fun!
love the technique, TFS.
I remembered learning how to create this effect ever since I was 5, but I haven't tried it at home so I think I should start doing that.
This is so cool.
Excellent tips 👍

Ooooo such an fun, interesting technique. I'll have to try it sometime :D

+yayme5 it will be a great use for sure !!
Aww that looks fun! :D
That is exactly what I was trying to find how to do THANK YOU
Wow so cool! It's so pretty! I really want to try it. >u
Are you going to do a follow-up video where you have used this technique in the background? I would be so interested to see what you come up with! I learned this technique while I was teaching kids to do arts and crafts but I never figured a way how to use this myself.
i think i will, i don't know when but i hope to use it :)
Cannot wait! I wish you all the best. ♥
great!
This looks awesome!
Have you ever tried shaving cream? Put some cream on a plate, drop different color inks on it and drag with something like a skewer to make a pattern then lay your paper on it and smoosh a little then lift up. Viola!!
I never tried but i saw videos ! it's a fun technique for sure but i don't really feel like wasting all the shaving cream lol
I'm curious why you have to move the page across rather than laying it flat across the bowl? Seems like its just smearing the texture rather than giving a clear outline of the bubbles when you move the page across it. Thank you for sharing this Sakuems.
+Mia Vox you can try that way Too, I tried to put it flat and it just burst the bubbles.
Ive been searching for Canson paper but not available here. Can you recommend any other types of paper that can be use for this Art? Thank you
Any mixed media or watercolor paper will work, anyting made for drawing that's thick enoug, I'd stay 200 gm² minimum. U don't have to pick Canson ^^
is this archival?
Since i'm using light fast ink yes, maybe not forever but it's pretty resistant ^^
Can I use acrylic paint or does it have to be ink?
i tried with paints and it didn't work that much, it is still possible but it's easier with ink because it's really concentrated and pigmented
So let me get this straight. You just put a glop of paint in a bowl, add maybe a cup of water and a slop of dishwashing stuff, blow till the bubbles hit the top of the bowl and then pass some paper over it? Does the water need to be warm or hot, or will cold water do? I am going to try it someday
i used tap water, it was not warm definitely. Cold water should work more because hot water tends to disolve the dishwashing soap faster
+Sakuems
Thankyou for your prompt reply. Problem solved. I am going to try the technique some day when it's warmer because I think it would be better to do it outdoors; it looks a bit messy
This is really cool :) Just a question though, could I substitute the ink for liquid watercolours of some kind? I don't have ink that's all...
oh yeah of course ! they are quite intense too but also rather expensive so it's better to do a small quantity, try to put in a smaller plate :)
Sakuems :O you replied! Thanks for the tips :)
of course i reply ! i don't get millions of comments lol, i check them at least 3 times a day and i reply to as much as i can :)
Sakuems Well thank you so much for taking the time to do so :) You have a great channel
That's the same paper I use!
Turns out like grapes
When I try it the paint doesn’t stay in the bubbles
I had that problem so I just increased the amount of paint in the dish. Good luck
I prefer to use inks ;) but you probably need more pigment and water and see from there
If I may suggest something, just gently touch your paper down onto the bubbles, without dragging the paper over them. I feel the dragging motion defeats the purpose somewhat. Thank you for making the video.
It's actually a great advice ! it worked better the second time when I barely touched, althought it's been years now so I wonder how it would look now, I should try again :)
Stempelfarbe
Who else learnt this from Mr. Maker back then? LMAO
No such word as “Learnt” the word would be Learned.
