    Definitely a fun thing to try! I used watercolor paper + regular papers. Found using a credit card to spread the bubbles was the easiest method. ❤️🎨

    • @artbytessiejo7218

      I understand totally. My life too has many problems. I have manic depression and some days I think I can conquer anything and I produce a lot of art, then I crash a few days later feeling like my world will end, not wanting to crawl out from under the covers. I end up staying in bed not being able to deal with anything with a horrible sadness. We aren't alone though, many people struggle with loss. If I wasn't a Christian, and have Jesus to pray to, I couldn't make it.

    • @Sakuems
      @Sakuems  8 лет назад +2

      You have days when you can conquer the world but sadly, i only have the down "the world will end" days and it's been for months. I can get out of bed but only because i had bad dreams and i don't want to sleep again. Think is it's not just about loss, it's about my life as a whole. I wish i would have faith, i try to hold to that too, i am a christian but i never really believed in this and i know faith is personnal but when your whole life seems like a mess and you can't get control back on the things you can control, it's really hard cause all your efforts go towards not letting the negativity win but then you don't have strenghts left to do positive things or things you want to do etc.. i'm exhausted mentally and physically and each day i try to believe it's only temporary but it comes back still. I want my life back but i'm not sure what my life was and i can't get it back since a big part of it is missing... I can tell it must be hard to have a high phase and feel powerful and do things and be happy about it only to fall down really low a few days after... i only have a vague idea cause the last few weeks i never passed the stage of being OK enough to make a change, it just stays in a rather moody stage but never better, i have this mental wall i can't break, i have to fight it to put it aside and it requires a lot of energy and when i'm finally reaching that level and i feel like me again, it only stays a few minutes...

    Hi there. I tried this but did not like the unpredictable look of the image so I used your method except…….when the bubble are blown up, I just scooped up the bubbles with a plastic spoon and dropped them where I wanted the specific color. It turned out absolutely beautiful. Thankyou for the idea.

    Have you ever tried shaving cream? Put some cream on a plate, drop different color inks on it and drag with something like a skewer to make a pattern then lay your paper on it and smoosh a little then lift up. Viola!!

    • @Sakuems
      @Sakuems  7 лет назад +3

      I never tried but i saw videos ! it's a fun technique for sure but i don't really feel like wasting all the shaving cream lol

  • @MiaVox
    @MiaVox 8 лет назад +1

    I'm curious why you have to move the page across rather than laying it flat across the bowl? Seems like its just smearing the texture rather than giving a clear outline of the bubbles when you move the page across it. Thank you for sharing this Sakuems.

    • @Sakuems
      @Sakuems  8 лет назад

      +Mia Vox you can try that way Too, I tried to put it flat and it just burst the bubbles.

    • @Sakuems
      @Sakuems  4 года назад

      Any mixed media or watercolor paper will work, anyting made for drawing that's thick enoug, I'd stay 200 gm² minimum. U don't have to pick Canson ^^

    Can I use acrylic paint or does it have to be ink?

    • @Sakuems
      @Sakuems  7 лет назад

      i tried with paints and it didn't work that much, it is still possible but it's easier with ink because it's really concentrated and pigmented

  • @shelleygoodman2612
    @shelleygoodman2612 7 лет назад +1

    So let me get this straight. You just put a glop of paint in a bowl, add maybe a cup of water and a slop of dishwashing stuff, blow till the bubbles hit the top of the bowl and then pass some paper over it? Does the water need to be warm or hot, or will cold water do? I am going to try it someday

    • @Sakuems
      @Sakuems  7 лет назад

      i used tap water, it was not warm definitely. Cold water should work more because hot water tends to disolve the dishwashing soap faster

    • @shelleygoodman2612
      @shelleygoodman2612 7 лет назад +1

      +Sakuems
      Thankyou for your prompt reply. Problem solved. I am going to try the technique some day when it's warmer because I think it would be better to do it outdoors; it looks a bit messy

    • @Sakuems

    Tiens, je connaissais pas ^^ Mais est-il possible de viser une zone délimitée ? Ou de dessiner par dessus ? Merci pour la technique ;)

    • @Sakuems
      @Sakuems  8 лет назад

      pour viser il faut faire gaffe comment tu poses le papier ou alors protéger le papier avant et laisser la zone que tu veux "imprimer" vierge par exemple en mettant du scotch de masquage autour de la zone. Moi j'aurais tendance à laisser une zone masqué et faire le fond autour en utilisant un post it découpé grossièrement et un peu de scotch de masquage autour histoire de laisser la place d'un visage au moins mais après le fond peut être "incorporé" dedans aussi :)

  • @theravenisblack53

    If I may suggest something, just gently touch your paper down onto the bubbles, without dragging the paper over them. I feel the dragging motion defeats the purpose somewhat. Thank you for making the video.
