Ryan's invoices/receipts from Kyle, a random RUclips audience member on his recent $30k purchase, are not line by line invoices that a company like eBay or Amazon would need to prove provenance if a brand, like Nike or Adidas requested it. He, and every other reseller, did the exact same thing as me when he sold those Yeezy's he found in that lot on Whatnot, because he did not have valid chain of custody proof. Ryan tried to take the high road and say that he wouldn't run a business without having invoices, but routinely does cash deals in parking lots in his videos. He scoffed at me using zelle and business checks as a form of payment, when the type of payment doesn't matter, again trying to paint me as a moron, but you can pay in any form as long as you have the right receipt. Proof of provenance is where you can link where the items came from and how you obtained them with chain of custody directly from the brand or distributor, it's very difficult in reselling because most likely you didn't buy it from an authorized source. We all operate in a gray area. That is part of being a "reseller" and not a retailer, where you buy items wholesale from manufacturers or licensed distributors. I don't appreciate someone with nearly 200,000 subscribers making wild criminal accusations on my behalf, because it's extremely damaging. He almost went to jail for selling stolen goods from a Verizon smash and grab. I sold nike samples from a friend, and nike knows exactly where they came from. That is not the same thing. He did issue an apology a week later after 50,000 people watched the video, but he essentially used a false pretense of me selling stolen goods as an advertisement for his whatnot shows. Wow Chris, after how professional I’ve always been with you I didn’t expect such a petty response video. Not once have I talked bad about you in the past. To clarify a few things, Kyle is not a random RUclips audience member, he runs a legitimate business and we have invoices in place from his company, but I see your point because with the Yeezys it’s one pair, not $1.8 million in not for resale Nike samples. It was a video full of speculation of counterfeits, stolen property and that you take the high road and only do direct deals with authorized suppliers, which you don’t. You do tons of gray deals like everyone else. Lots of people did response videos, yours was not professional, imo.

Chris! I am so happy that you addressed Ryan's video! It was irresponsible and straight-up disrespectful. To say that he was sure that Ebay reached out to you several times before suspension was ridiculous. How would he know? Was he there? Often times large companies do Not give advance notice when they are terminating contracts or business relationships. The first thing they do is consult their lawyers to make sure that their next steps don't violate any laws or rights. They then gather information to substantiate their decision. They will provide the easiest grounds for termination even if it isn't the ACTUAL reason. They want to give as little info as possible to avoid a countersuit. I know because I worked for several large companies that implemented this strategy. The bottom line is any of us who purchase from Goodwill etc.. and resell could be asked for invoices and would surely be in the same boat. Ryan to his own admission didn't even give you the courtesy of watching all of your videos before throwing in his two cents. If he had he wouldn't have said some of the ignorant things that he did. Why would he get on his channel with over 100k followers and not do his due diligence? The smash and grab reference was ignorant. To suggest such a thing with a smirk on his face and then in the next breath say that he was by no means suggesting that you were doing anything illegal was disgusting. Why mention it if you weren't suggesting such a thing? You are better than me because I would be calling my lawyer right now to address the slander. I'm not trying to start anything, I'm just stating the facts. I try to be positive but his video just got under my skin. Excited to see what you do next! :)

Chris, good luck with that. I went to the site signed up and changed my mind, and it's hard as hell trying to close my account with WHATNOT. I've been going round and round trying to get my account closed. That's not a good sign to me. Also WHATNOT seems to be a "collectors" site, for bulk items. Not for many of us. If you have bulks and pallets and want to sell multiple items - mainly games and toys - then it's for you. If you like being on camera and being the auctioneer, then WHATNOT is for you.

I'm sure their sales $ go up as their viewership goes up on YT. A bunch of them have recently bought new houses, or opened storefronts, or upped their investment by taking a buyer's vacation. What annoys me most are the cross-filming 'trips' they take together. They do the same outing from five different points-of-view. When you're having to cross-film and ""collaborate"" with other people for content, it's time to rethink your game. I ff through most of the reseller videos I watch b/c the content is weak, already. It's obvious which YT creators are really just now motivated by monetization.

They are largely influencers/entertainers/wholesalers now instead of resellers.

I was disgusted by them when he went to a small USPS office to drop off 128 packages and the old lady that works there just told him for next time if he is going to drop off that many packages to go to their bigger location. He then started acting like a Karen to her while he was recording her with a hidden camera. They said they called the USPS Customer Service to report her and were smiling and looked really proud that they did that to her. They are a bunch of LIARS among other things.

I quit watching them years ago with some shady tactics they pulled on people. They are not always what they portray. I have to say I have never, ever heard of you doing anything like that & I've been following you longer.
I stopped watching them for a while because I got a phoney vibe from them. Then just before this, had started watching a video here and there while working, simply because they were on my feed. Then this, and I totally remember why I got sick of them the first time. They have an air of superiority, and it's just a matter of time before their bs catches up to them. I haven’t been subscribed to them in almost 2 years so I don’t really care but seeing how they were acting all high and mighty saying they would always do everything right and by the books was pretty ignorant on their part. Been with you since I started my eBay journey since 2019 and you’re the reason I’ve been able to put the work in building my eBay business to 4k in sales a week. Not gonna lie Chris, when I saw Ryan's video, I thought it was very slimy and unprofessional. And, also, that I would sue his ass for slander. Even if there WAS a possibility you had inadvertently recieved some stolen goods, you don't throw out baseless public speculation like that, especially when a man has a family to feed and others who depend on him for their livelihoods. Needless to say, it was a huge turn off for me. Where I'm from, we call that dry-snitching.

I unsubbed to Rallyroots about a year ago. All they do is basically flex about their success so I never really learned anything from watching their content. Just a waste of time.

Your videos quickly became my routine "shipping music" and my 90-day total rose over $2,000 in 45 days. The quality of your work shows to those who care about success over fun. I'm still an avid follower and can honestly say I skip over every other reseller to watch you first. Thanks for the dedication to the craft and let the click-bait entertainers sink their own ships.
I long ago stopped watching the persons content. I do however watch Daily refinement daily. Many of us can easily see who is the real deal and who may not be. Well done on a quality calm response.

I had actual line by line invoices from Nike, been to their showings at their Plano office, bought out an entire store when they closed, had a contact that was in Nike corporate... still got people claiming I was selling fakes on eBay. You literally can't do anything right sometimes!

I watched all the big reseller youtubers when I started ebay. But those guys are basically youtubers and hobby sellers. I think that when Ebay instituted the stat that you can see how many sales everyone has had in their career, even Hairy Tornado made a video saying he is not fully focused on reselling. He prefers youtube. When those stats came out I was shocked at the amount of sales those guys I followed had in their whole career. I thought they were doing more. But Chris and of course Tech, hands down killing it. Tech is the most valuable because he is giving you exactly what you need to be successful without the fluff. Chris just shares that message in his own way, but none of those other youtubers are giving the ins and outs of this is exactly what you need to do.

ebay does often screen and vet their sellers. Years ago they came demanding receipts from us, froze our account until the review was done. It was a very aggravating ordeal, but we complied and handed over the documents they requested. Most of our products came from distributors, but not all of it. As for proof of provenance, that is exactly what ebay is looking for, and they do investigate those receipts to see whether or not the businesses one claims to have bought from are legit or not. The whole reason ebay does this is to combat potential fraud. They want to prevent counterfeit merchandise and stolen goods from being sold on their platform. Unfortunately, often legitimate sellers get booted because of the lack of receipts and documentation. To this very day we retain receipts for everything!

Even Mercari also shuts down accounts for not having invoices from authorized wholesalers when a seller suddenly has larger sales. Nurse Flipper did a video on this topic several months ago. Platforms are definitely taking measures to protect themselves from "risky" transactions with higher end products. Will this situation affect most of us selling primarily used goods? Likely not. But if we come into a windfall of brand name/higher priced new goods, this should be something to think about on ANY platform.

I have a letter from a company's Vice President stating that I am an authorized seller but the company was sold this year and now that letter means nothing even though the VP is still there. I have had to take down all my listings for this item. I have even made other sellers aware that this was the case. I wish you the best and your family.

This can truly happen to anyone. I use to have wholesale accounts for high-end action figures. Direct from the companies, they did not one anyone selling their products on eBay. They didn't want their product sold for more or less than suggested retail. The moment your caught you are subject to contract termination. Their are many reason eBay or distributors can stop anyone even with line by line receipts.

Yes accounts get suspended for no reason and without warning. I did eBay for 12 months (based in Taiwan). First month I did like $30 USD in sales (big starting restrictions here), month 12 I did like $4-$5k USD in sales at about 60-70% net profit, this was just after corona hit 2 odd years ago. I mostly sold collectibles, old vintage items, tonnes of anime/manga, Hello Kitty, Pokemon, Snoopy, rare Beer and Spirit glasses all that good stuff is in abundance here in Asia. I didn't sell masks, hand sanitizer or anything on the pandemic restricted items list, everything was 100% legit and above board. Due to the pandemic I had about a half dozen parcels delivered late due to the fall out and nightmare of global logistics (all the flights were getting cancelled and shutdown at that stage so no fault of my own, normally there was about 20-30 flights a day leaving Taiwan for the USA and we were down to maybe 1 flight every 3-4 days at that stage). I had the power seller badge and top rated seller badge, all my items were shipped with in 1 day, perfect 5 star feedback score, and I got pinged once for 'Post It' notes with a VERO from 3M company. One morning I woke up, did my usual 10-20 listings on e-bay for the day and then me and my wife went to breakfast at the local breakfast shop at about 10am. We got back at about midday and I went to check my eBay account because there was something I needed to follow up. Now I will mention that apart from the VERO from 3M which was a rookie mistake that I made about 6 months earlier, I had not received any warnings, please explains or any e-mails or communication from eBay what so ever. When I tried to check my account my selling limits had been set to zero, all 1200 listings had been removed and my account was literally locked. I shot off e-mails left and right because it was impossible to get anyone on the phone at e-bay during that time. About 2 weeks later I got an e-mail back stating that my account had been suspended and it was not appealable. I later found out that due to my strong sales growth in the first year as a small independent reseller followed by the sudden late deliveries (which eBay said we wouldn't get pinged for as it was out of our control), I was flagged as a high risk account which is why they shut me down. I still don't know exactly why my account got suspended and I suspect I never will, but unfortunately eBay does suspend accounts for no reason and without warning. All you can simply do is move on which is why I am now on 3 platforms here in Taiwan and I never pay more then 3% in selling fee's 🙂

I followed him just a little bit but absolutely not like I follow you. I’m really disappointed to hear that he did that. I’ve been devastated by your loss because I’ve completely patterned my store after yours and while I’m not in a big league like you it was kind of like pissing on my dream as well. I don’t trust any of these online platforms 100%, I’ve heard too many horror stories. Even when I use them and put goods there and attempt to make a living I’m not foolish enough to think that any given day they might be fickle and flip on me for some real or imagined reason. I don’t put all my eggs in one basket because I don’t trust any of the baskets 100%. I won’t be following them anymore or watching them if they want to stoop to that. If brands wanted to, they could control the entire secondary market. There are so many loopholes in the first sale doctrine and that is the Number 1 threat to large ebay sellers. Also bulk liquidation lots will never be legit and an invoice from the "distributor" of that truckload will would never hold up in court unless the distributor was an authorized seller or the actual brand manufacturer. Nearly all liquidation truckloads have multiple middle men anyways, so many people are playing with fire.
Every reseller is at risk of this type of suspension because most of us don’t buy directly from the an authorized dealer. We buy from thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales and cannot provide invoices if requested. I hate that anyone suggests that this is a moral situation. It is not. Those who are slandering your name should be careful because they could be next.
ebay dont suspend people without reaching out first? that would not be true. i have been suspended twice in 20 years so far. neither of those 2 times was i ever contacted first. i simply got out of bed and had an email saying your account is suspended for 7 days. both of those reasons were false BTW...but ebay never once contacted me for clarification even after i filed an appeal or whatever it is they let you do after the fact. both of which failed too.
same for me too. I was suspended for selling over the counter medicine, which was actually lotion. no warning, no anything. just a message telling me i was suspended. They did apologize and told me i had to live out the suspension anyway. I was ticked! how the heck did they mistake lotion for over-the-counter meds! I think too many youtube creators had questions or fears in their comments and decided to try and address them. I think some saw it as a way to make a video for their channel. When push comes to shovel, prototypes were never meant to be sold. Just as perfume testers were never meant to be sold. The brand names own the rights to them whether they have them in their hands or not. You came out to own what you did and what you should not have done. Everyone else can choose to listen to your experience and hopefully learn from it. I would love it if all youtube creators would just move on and stop all the drama.
If what you say about prototypes is true, then Nike doesn't apply their rights equally. I just found an ESPN article about a man, Jeff Wasson of Oregon, who sold a Nike prototype and Nike was just fine with it.
@@edennis8578 That is the choice of the brand name. If they do not care then it is ok. They always own the rights. The problem for resellers is knowing what they are ok with and what they are not. Most resellers are not going to contact the brand names to find out.

A good video could highlight red flags. I purchased several cases of NIB Hallmark ornaments. I sold them on Ebay which caught the attention of the Hallmark Loss Prevention and legal department. They reached out to Ebay. I did not have a Vero infraction. The ornaments were assumed stolen off the loading docks. In hindsight I can see how they thought that but many cases were over 10 years old. I gave Hallmark the name and address of the person who sold them to me. I was not a thief The seller was not a thief but did violate employees purchase rules. My account was reactivated although I lost all of my listings. LESSON 1: NEW IN BOX MULTIPLES ARE USUALLY AN ISSUE FOR SOMEONE. LESSON 2: ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BUY. LESSON 3: KEEP GOOD NOTES. It will depend on the company that reported the problem to decide what will be done after that.

Ryan obviously never meant it the way you took it. I saw the video and I feel like you're being a little sensitive about it. he was saying how amazing of a seller you are and never accused you of selling stolen goods intentionally. That was an assumption he had that this ban was a bit suspicious . I don't see anything he had done wrong but yet he came out and apologized. you coming out vindictive and sharing his downfalls and exposing him is a bit inappropriate and too defensive. Ryan's invoices/receipts from Kyle, a random RUclips audience member on his recent $30k purchase, are not line by line invoices that a company like eBay or Amazon would need to prove provenance if a brand, like Nike or Adidas requested it. He, and every other reseller, did the exact same thing as me when he sold those Yeezy's he found in that lot on Whatnot, because he did not have valid chain of custody proof. Ryan tried to take the high road and say that he wouldn't run a business without having invoices, but routinely does cash deals in parking lots in his videos. He scoffed at me using zelle and business checks as a form of payment, when the type of payment doesn't matter, again trying to paint me as a moron, but you can pay in any form as long as you have the right receipt. Proof of provenance is where you can link where the items came from and how you obtained them with chain of custody directly from the brand or distributor, it's very difficult in reselling because most likely you didn't buy it from an authorized source. We all operate in a gray area.
That is part of being a "reseller" and not a retailer, where you buy items wholesale from manufacturers or licensed distributors. I don't appreciate someone with nearly 200,000 subscribers making wild criminal accusations on my behalf, because it's extremely damaging. He almost went to jail for selling stolen goods from a Verizon smash and grab. I sold nike samples from a friend, and nike knows exactly where they came from. That is not the same thing. He did issue an apology a week later after 50,000 people watched the video, but he essentially used a false pretense of me selling stolen goods as an advertisement for his whatnot shows.

To clarify a few things, Kyle is not a random RUclips audience member, he runs a legitimate business and we have invoices in place from his company, but I see your point because with the Yeezys it’s one pair, not $1.8 million in not for resale Nike samples.

It was a video full of speculation of counterfeits, stolen property and that you take the high road and only do direct deals with authorized suppliers, which you don’t. Chris! I am so happy that you addressed Ryan's video! It was irresponsible and straight-up disrespectful. To say that he was sure that Ebay reached out to you several times before suspension was ridiculous. How would he know? Was he there? Often times large companies do Not give advance notice when they are terminating contracts or business relationships. The first thing they do is consult their lawyers to make sure that their next steps don't violate any laws or rights. They then gather information to substantiate their decision. They will provide the easiest grounds for termination even if it isn't the ACTUAL reason. They want to give as little info as possible to avoid a countersuit. I know because I worked for several large companies that implemented this strategy. The bottom line is any of us who purchase from Goodwill etc.. and resell could be asked for invoices and would surely be in the same boat. Ryan to his own admission didn't even give you the courtesy of watching all of your videos before throwing in his two cents. If he had he wouldn't have said some of the ignorant things that he did. Why would he get on his channel with over 100k followers and not do his due diligence? The smash and grab reference was ignorant. To suggest such a thing with a smirk on his face and then in the next breath say that he was by no means suggesting that you were doing anything illegal was disgusting. Why mention it if you weren't suggesting such a thing? You are better than me because I would be calling my lawyer right now to address the slander. Anyway, as for Whatnot. Chris, good luck with that. I went to the site signed up and changed my mind, and it's hard as hell trying to close my account with WHATNOT. I've been going round and round trying to get my account closed. That's not a good sign to me. Also WHATNOT seems to be a "collectors" site, for bulk items. Not for many of us. If you have bulks and pallets and want to sell multiple items - mainly games and toys - then it's for you. If you like being on camera and being the auctioneer, then WHATNOT is for you.

I'm sure their sales $ go up as their viewership goes up on YT. A bunch of them have recently bought new houses, or opened storefronts, or upped their investment by taking a buyer's vacation. What annoys me most are the cross-filming 'trips' they take together. They do the same outing from five different points-of-view. When you're having to cross-film and ""collaborate"" with other people for content, it's time to rethink your game. I ff through most of the reseller videos I watch b/c the content is weak, already. It's obvious which YT creators are really just now motivated by monetization.
RR has a history of attacking resellers then deleting and making “we love everyone posts/videos” clowns since day 1.

I was disgusted by them when he went to a small USPS office to drop off 128 packages and the old lady that works there just told him for next time if he is going to drop off that many packages to go to their bigger location. He then started acting like a Karen to her while he was recording her with a hidden camera. They said they called the USPS Customer Service to report her and were smiling and looked really proud that they did that to her. They are a bunch of LIARS among other things.

I haven’t been subscribed to them in almost 2 years so I don’t really care but seeing how they were acting all high and mighty saying they would always do everything right and by the books was pretty ignorant on their part. Been with you since I started my eBay journey since 2019 and you’re the reason I’ve been able to put the work in building my eBay business to 4k in sales a week. I'm still an avid follower and can honestly say I skip over every other reseller to watch you first. Thanks for the dedication to the craft and let the click-bait entertainers sink their own ships.

I had actual line by line invoices from Nike, been to their showings at their Plano office, bought out an entire store when they closed, had a contact that was in Nike corporate... still got people claiming I was selling fakes on eBay. You literally can't do anything right sometimes!

I watched all the big reseller youtubers when I started ebay. But those guys are basically youtubers and hobby sellers. I think that when Ebay instituted the stat that you can see how many sales everyone has had in their career, even Hairy Tornado made a video saying he is not fully focused on reselling. He prefers youtube. When those stats came out I was shocked at the amount of sales those guys I followed had in their whole career. I thought they were doing more. But Chris and of course Tech, hands down killing it. Tech is the most valuable because he is giving you exactly what you need to be successful without the fluff. Chris just shares that message in his own way, but none of those other youtubers are giving the ins and outs of this is exactly what you need to do.
You should file a defamation of character lawsuit against him.

ebay does often screen and vet their sellers. Years ago they came demanding receipts from us, froze our account until the review was done. It was a very aggravating ordeal, but we complied and handed over the documents they requested. Most of our products came from distributors, but not all of it. As for proof of provenance, that is exactly what ebay is looking for, and they do investigate those receipts to see whether or not the businesses one claims to have bought from are legit or not.
The whole reason ebay does this is to combat potential fraud. They want to prevent counterfeit merchandise and stolen goods from being sold on their platform. Unfortunately, often legitimate sellers get booted because of the lack of receipts and documentation. To this very day we retain receipts for everything!

Even Mercari also shuts down accounts for not having invoices from authorized wholesalers when a seller suddenly has larger sales. Nurse Flipper did a video on this topic several months ago. Platforms are definitely taking measures to protect themselves from "risky" transactions with higher end products. Will this situation affect most of us selling primarily used goods? Likely not. But if we come into a windfall of brand name/higher priced new goods, this should be something to think about on ANY platform.

I appreciate how you are handling the situation. I have a letter from a company's Vice President stating that I am an authorized seller but the company was sold this year and now that letter means nothing even though the VP is still there. I have had to take down all my listings for this item. I have even made other sellers aware that this was the case. I wish you the best and your family.

This can truly happen to anyone. I use to have wholesale accounts for high-end action figures. Direct from the companies, they did not one anyone selling their products on eBay. They didn't want their product sold for more or less than suggested retail. The moment your caught you are subject to contract termination. Their are many reason eBay or distributors can stop anyone even with line by line receipts.

It’s not ok for RR to assume or judge what happened in your case, I just think what happened to you can happen to any of us as small or large resellers so why throw shade on another reseller to get ratings on their channel is not ok. I really appreciate how succinctly you explain the nuances of the resale world. Nobody wants to be in trouble with ebay. Some times in sourcing we step on a line that's drawn by folks that have never sold anything. It's good to have open discussions. Thanks for sharing from the little stores!
Yes accounts get suspended for no reason and without warning. I did eBay for 12 months (based in Taiwan). First month I did like $30 USD in sales (big starting restrictions here), month 12 I did like $4-$5k USD in sales at about 60-70% net profit, this was just after corona hit 2 odd years ago. I mostly sold collectibles, old vintage items, tonnes of anime/manga, Hello Kitty, Pokemon, Snoopy, rare Beer and Spirit glasses all that good stuff is in abundance here in Asia. I didn't sell masks, hand sanitizer or anything on the pandemic restricted items list, everything was 100% legit and above board. Due to the pandemic I had about a half dozen parcels delivered late due to the fall out and nightmare of global logistics (all the flights were getting cancelled and shutdown at that stage so no fault of my own, normally there was about 20-30 flights a day leaving Taiwan for the USA and we were down to maybe 1 flight every 3-4 days at that stage). I had the power seller badge and top rated seller badge, all my items were shipped with in 1 day, perfect 5 star feedback score, and I got pinged once for 'Post It' notes with a VERO from 3M company. One morning I woke up, did my usual 10-20 listings on e-bay for the day and then me and my wife went to breakfast at the local breakfast shop at about 10am. We got back at about midday and I went to check my eBay account because there was something I needed to follow up. Now I will mention that apart from the VERO from 3M which was a rookie mistake that I made about 6 months earlier, I had not received any warnings, please explains or any e-mails or communication from eBay what so ever. When I tried to check my account my selling limits had been set to zero, all 1200 listings had been removed and my account was literally locked. I shot off e-mails left and right because it was impossible to get anyone on the phone at e-bay during that time. About 2 weeks later I got an e-mail back stating that my account had been suspended and it was not appealable. I later found out that due to my strong sales growth in the first year as a small independent reseller followed by the sudden late deliveries (which eBay said we wouldn't get pinged for as it was out of our control), I was flagged as a high risk account which is why they shut me down. I still don't know exactly why my account got suspended and I suspect I never will, but unfortunately eBay does suspend accounts for no reason and without warning. All you can simply do is move on which is why I am now on 3 platforms here in Taiwan and I never pay more then 3% in selling fee's 🙂

I’ve been devastated by your loss because I’ve completely patterned my store after yours and while I’m not in a big league like you it was kind of like pissing on my dream as well. I don’t trust any of these online platforms 100%, I’ve heard too many horror stories. Even when I use them and put goods there and attempt to make a living I’m not foolish enough to think that any given day they might be fickle and flip on me for some real or imagined reason. I don’t put all my eggs in one basket because I don’t trust any of the baskets 100%. I won’t be following them anymore or watching them if they want to stoop to that. I hate to say it but it really sounds like a case of being a hater. SMH

If brands wanted to, they could control the entire secondary market. There are so many loopholes in the first sale doctrine and that is the Number 1 threat to large ebay sellers. Also bulk liquidation lots will never be legit and an invoice from the "distributor" of that truckload will would never hold up in court unless the distributor was an authorized seller or the actual brand manufacturer. Nearly all liquidation truckloads have multiple middle men anyways, so many people are playing with fire.
Every reseller is at risk of this type of suspension because most of us don’t buy directly from the an authorized dealer. We buy from thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales and cannot provide invoices if requested. I hate that anyone suggests that this is a moral situation. It is not. Those who are slandering your name should be careful because they could be next.

ebay dont suspend people without reaching out first? that would not be true. i have been suspended twice in 20 years so far. neither of those 2 times was i ever contacted first. i simply got out of bed and had an email saying your account is suspended for 7 days. both of those reasons were false BTW...but ebay never once contacted me for clarification even after i filed an appeal or whatever it is they let you do after the fact. both of which failed too.
same for me too. I was suspended for selling over the counter medicine, which was actually lotion. no warning, no anything. just a message telling me i was suspended. They did apologize and told me i had to live out the suspension anyway. I was ticked! how the heck did they mistake lotion for over-the-counter meds! I still don't get it. but i cross post now just in case the go weird on me again. lol

I think too many youtube creators had questions or fears in their comments and decided to try and address them. I think some saw it as a way to make a video for their channel. When push comes to shovel, prototypes were never meant to be sold. Just as perfume testers were never meant to be sold. The brand names own the rights to them whether they have them in their hands or not. You came out to own what you did and what you should not have done. Everyone else can choose to listen to your experience and hopefully learn from it. I would love it if all youtube creators would just move on and stop all the drama.
If what you say about prototypes is true, then Nike doesn't apply their rights equally. I just found an ESPN article about a man, Jeff Wasson of Oregon, who sold a Nike prototype and Nike was just fine with it.
@@edennis8578 That is the choice of the brand name. If they do not care then it is ok. They always own the rights. The problem for resellers is knowing what they are ok with and what they are not. Most resellers are not going to contact the brand names to find out.

A good video could highlight red flags. I purchased several cases of NIB Hallmark ornaments. I sold them on Ebay which caught the attention of the Hallmark Loss Prevention and legal department. They reached out to Ebay. I did not have a Vero infraction. The ornaments were assumed stolen off the loading docks. In hindsight I can see how they thought that but many cases were over 10 years old. I gave Hallmark the name and address of the person who sold them to me. I was not a thief The seller was not a thief but did violate employees purchase rules. My account was reactivated although I lost all of my listings. LESSON 1: NEW IN BOX MULTIPLES ARE USUALLY AN ISSUE FOR SOMEONE. LESSON 2: ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BUY. LESSON 3: KEEP GOOD NOTES. It will depend on the company that reported the problem to decide what will be done after that.

Ryan obviously never meant it the way you took it. I saw the video and I feel like you're being a little sensitive about it. he was saying how amazing of a seller you are and never accused you of selling stolen goods intentionally. That was an assumption he had that this ban was a bit suspicious . I don't see anything he had done wrong but yet he came out and apologized. you coming out vindictive and sharing his downfalls and exposing him is a bit inappropriate and too defensive. I have respect to what you have shared to reseller community and you deserve better than getting banned.
