Roger Parloff, you are doing great hosting!
I love the way Lawfare has the presentation values of a neighbourhood public-spaces committee circa May 2020 over Zoom...and the ......insight of a Harvard Law post-grad tutorial seminar 👍👍👍🇺🇸 To those criticising form over content....lots of chyrons on OAN, FOX etc....listen and learn...
Why is Anna so smart? I don't understand how that's possible. lol
Can you tack up the ‘Lawfare’ sign behind Tyler with something other than electrical tape, lol! 😅
Production quality!
donate so they can buy some tacks
MUCH IMPROVED PRESENTATION with Roger hosting: tight, punchy and professional. Ben your withering criticism of the defence xxmn was superb.
Thank you!!!
The greatest achievement of The Lincoln Project to date...aside from hilarious ads... preventing Trump engaging GOP sympathetic law firms representing him .... defanging an insurrectionist is essential...
I really appreciate Anna’s view, it’s definitely a different perspective.
Very interested in observations of jury attentiveness.
Anybody know of any bookies taking bets on the outcome of this court case ?
I'd bet not guilty.
thank you, Anna Bauer, for expressing doubt about the second crime evidence. I have been struggling to understand how this is a felony. I do think there is misdemeanor evidence, but I think it gets very hard to get to felony. And I despise Trump. But this also raises--are they going to have a lesser included offense charge in the jury instructions?
They should have brought an expert on campaign finance law to tie it to the felony.
@@TisDanawhat If Trump's lawyers had asked the expert "Could the Trump Campaign have paid Stormy and reported that as a legitimate campaign expense, legally?" Bye bye case
Non disclosure agreements are not illegal. Just ask CNN, in fact all of those networks do them all of the time.
That's a shocking indictment of Blanch by both Ben and Anna. And if they're confused how are the jury?
To be clear, Johnson did not enter the courtroom.
Totally agree with Ben- Bove would have been a much better choice for cross by the defense
Anna in this podcast proves how much smarter she is then the two men . It's not enough that they intended to do XYZ which violated abc law, they had to KNOW it was illegal.
Michael Johnson had to do a little speech on how unfair Trump is being treated. Like it’s just terrible. There’s that courtroom is just horrible and poor Donnie
And he possibly was not present during trial.
Heard Johnson was barely there before his curbside speech. 😅
To busy to bring Lankford Border Bill to floor vote?
Perfect inoculation but not overly so.
In other words " The Cat is Out Of The Bag "!
I’d like to hear how Merchan handled Cohen / Blanche.
From what I have read, much from you guys, I believe they have established that at the time Cohen made the payment for Stormy, T intended to have options afforded by that channel instead of paying from campaign funds or T's personal funds. The fact he wanted options might be enough to fill in the intent Anna Bower is concerned about.
So you're saying he knew two legal ways to pay Stormy but wanted to use an illegal way instead? Or was he just trying to keep the NDAs existence a secret?
And you know you’re really negative you don’t wanna give Cohen anything I thought Cohen was rather good with the cross exam
But again, what is the actual charge for the defendant? What is the defendant being charged for ?
Keep up .. falsifying New York business records in order to conceal damaging information and unlawful activity from American voters before and after the 2016 election.
Falsifying business record in ny and falsifying records as election interference, which makes it a felony b
A financial fraud statute
Was Anna raised by cats?
Thanks for the update.
Question for anyone paying close attention to this LawFare business. What happnes when the exact same Lawfare is played on you? Don't think you'll be exempt from this type of unconstitutional interpretation of the law. I bet you'll be the first to cry Wolf ?
The law is the law.
Ben made an offhand comment 3 weeks ago about the “whatever charges the government wants to throw at you”. None of these Lawfare lawyers care about that in the least because they hate Trump so much. But it’s chilling.
They'll find out a year from now
You’re no different than any of these other millions of people who find an excuse for Donald Trump not to be the criminal that he clearly is. It’s disgusting.
